Bottom speaker

Hello everyone!
My one month old xperia has a problem, sound volume of bottom speaker is much lower than speaker on the top. Actually i don't remember if it was like that always or happened during my usage. It's so quiet that I need to apply it close to the ear to hear it as much as top speaker. Is it normal or if not, can I fix it at home? Regards

    Hi everybody,
Just bought N85 (made in china) with latest firmware 11.047 with bottom speaker not working at all.
Does anybody else encounter such problem?
Is it a hardware failure or firmware?
    Thanks in advance.

  • IPhone 4S bottom speaker not working

My iPhone 4S bottom speaker isn't working. Headphone jack still works. When my phone is on speaker people can hear me but I can't hear them. There's no sound when my phone rings or when I'm typing. It's driving me nuts. I've been to sprint & I've called Apple & was told that they can't give me a brand new phone, but refurbished is just as good. I tried the air thing & still nothing. Any other solutions?!?

  • Xperia Z3 bottom speaker sounds low

Hello I've noticed that top speaker is sounds more high level than bottom speaker
I've asked to my local Sony Center about this and he said me its should sound same level
What is the right information about that?
    Thank you

From what I heard, when you try to play media files from speakers the top one will be louder than the buttom. Check this:

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
There aredust and water protection nets for our phone's loudspeaker and earspeaker. There might be tiny water droplets covering the nets after the phone is taken out from the water. This affects the propagation of sound in the air, which causes the sound become quiet. In the ordinalry environment, the tiny water droplets may eavaporate naturally within three hours, then the phone can be used with normal sound performance.

  • Bottom speaker metal mesh is a little bent in...

Ok. stupid question time. I just got my first iPhone, the iPhone 4S about a month ago, and it is only today that I found that the bottom speakers' metal mesh is a little bent/curved in at the center. It's not that obvious, but I do see a little bit of gap at the side of the mesh because it is curved/bent in.
My question is this, would it affect the speaker and microphone quality in anyway, and will the dust get in easily? As a first time iPhone user, I'm a little bit paranoid. >.<

Thanks! I guess I'm just a bit paranoid. I kept feeling my phone's volume was softer today (I still do, weird), and that's why I went to check on the speaker/mic area in detail.
I wonder if I was the one who caused it to bent/curved in or it was like this when I brought it. I have 2 years of Apple Protection Plan, so I was wondering if I should go to Apple Support and have them take a look at it. Hmmm.

  • I have iPhone 3GS, and everytime I go to listen to my music with my headphones the sound only goes to one ear and when I listen to music with the speakers at the bottom speaker the left speaker only works! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

My music only plays in my left ear when I'm wearing my headphones and when I'm listening to music without my headphones the music only comes out through the left speaker. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME,? YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.?

All iphone have one and only one speaker at the bottom.
Have you tried another set of earphones?  Maybe they are the problem?
Have you made sure that the headphones are inserted all the way?

  • What is that weird button next to multitasking volume control that controls whether music comes out of ear speaker or bottom speaker?

There is a weird button beside the multitasking volume control that allows me to play the music through the ear speaker. The button shows a rectangle and triangle together. Is this normal?

If you mean the image below, that's AirPlay.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4437.

  • IPhone 6 bottom speaker quiet

I bought my iPhone in March, I've not had any problems with it apart from every so often the sounds decide to suddenly become quieter.  This includes camera shutter sound, lock noise, notifications etc etc. When the phone is restarted it goes back to normal and the sound is at the volume it should be, however after a while (this could be 30 mins or up to a few days) the dound level goes back down again. I know a restart is only a minute or so job however it's getting quite annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Note - I'm running 8.3 and it has done it on the previous software version.

First try a restore using iTunes. If you have a software problem then it will be solved. If you have a true hardware problem you can go to a cell phone repair shop or talk to Apple to see what they can do to help.

  • My bottom speaker isn't working

  • I bought an iPhone 4 from target about a week ago and just noticed that the left bottom speaker isn't working. Do I take it to target? Will they replace it? Or can I take it to apple?

I haven't dropped it or anything, I've taken really good care if it. What do I do to fix this problem and where can I take it?

Oh wow. Thanks so much! You saved me from looking really dumb at target/the apple store. You're a rockstar

  • Speaker and headphones are not working

In my new Iphone 4s left bottom speaker isn't working and also the right side of my headphones isn't working, can anyone help?

There is not a speaker on the left, that's the microphone.
As for the headset, have you tried a different headset?

  • Speaker issue

Hello All, This issue seems to be occuring to most of the people who have purchased Z3. There is a very annoying flapping noise from the bottom speaker from the past few days. I did submit the phone at the service center, but couldn't understand one thing why don't they fix these issues at the service center itself. It is a very cumbersome and inconvenient process. The service center did not have a replacement device as well. I need to have my phone for my business purpose as all my emails and contacts are configured on it. I hope this process is changed in the future.

The issues you are facing are most likely software related.
Service center wouldn't be able to fix the issue. An update is needed for that

  • Top speaker stop functioning all of the sudden without reason.

I just got the Z3 for about 10 days. Everything was fine until today. My phone was ringing and right after I answer the phone, the top speaker went off and stop producing any sound. I switched to the bottom speaker and it was OK. I tried to call the person back and the same thing happened. After the call of tried playing music and no sound could be heard. I restarted the phone once, and still no sound from you Walkman (I have checked the volume and made sure it wasn't on silent mode with the volume cranked up at maximum.
I restarted again and still no sound. I was about to call sony support and then I tried to uncheck and then re-check everything in Sound, under the Settings.
Miraculously, after checking every options in Sound, including sound on keys etc, I tried playing the Walkman and the sound was back again. I also tried calling someone to test the top speaker and I am able to hear from the top speaker again.
Could anyone please help me to clarify on this issue? Has anyone encountered such issue before?
Thanks for reading, and also your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
