If you've done it via email then you should (as long as the address that you sent it to doesn't exist and it hasn't been redeemed) be able to resend it to the correct email address : Resend iTunes Gifts

I finally found the link to purchase gift certificates to be emailed to the recipient, and at the end of the process, I click "buy" and i get a pop up message saying my account is "not authorized to purchase gifts" ***? I just recieved this message when trying to email a itunes gift certificate, "This purchase would exceed the maximum Gift Certificate purchase amount for this Apple ID".Why I am limited to gift certificate and not other purchases.?
Chris CA, 62,910 points. Dang...that's a lot of support. Before I start, let me say Thank You! You need to answer a lot of people's questions to achieve that.
1) You slightly misunderstood my letter through no fault of your own. It was a generic compilation of information submitted by members of this discussion turned into a letter by me for use on the Apple Feedback site. I myself did not receive an e-mail. I actually was prevented from purchasing any more iTunes gift cards at a certain point and was given a cryptic response from the iTunes store that my request could not be processed. It was only after investigation on my part that I found out the reason was the $100 max per 30 day rule. I'd try to find where in the Apple's support site I did find that information...but, well, you are just going to have to trust me. However, others in this discussion stated they received the information in an e-mail. I used that fact in my letter as it seemed to create a less "cumbersome" feedback submission.
2) "Why look for iOS apps?" That's a good very good question! I miswrote. I should have said "OS X apps." That is where iTunes is located on the Feedback Site. Good catch. As you know (62,910 points is a lot of "knowing"), when you submit feedback you must click on the item of which you are going to write. I must be so ramped up for the impending release of the new iPhone that I had iOS on the brain. My bad. :-)
3) In all the time this discussion has been alive (over a year), and in all my googling, I never read about an option to contact iTunes support and ask them to remove this limit from my account. It is too bad you didn't come to this discussion when it started in May of 2011 to offer that piece of advice! Surprisingly, that information wasn't anywhere on the Apple site where I read about the $100/30 day limit. Maybe it is there now. But, it sure wasn't there when I read it. It would have been very helpful.
4) You say "(which they can do and often have done for many people here)." I am curious, what do you mean by "here." Not "here" as in "here in THIS discussion forum." Right? I don't see anyone in this discussion aware of that information and posting it for others to read. By "here" I assume you mean the ENTIRE Apple Support Community. Unfortunately, until you arrived on the scene, none of those from that gigantic "here" came across THIS discussion to share their good fortune and knowledge about removing the $100 limit on iTunes gift card purchases per 30 days.
Well, I think that wraps it up for another day. I am off to iTunes support to get this limit removed from my account.

How long does it take to show up?I think it's only because you have so few authorized locations where you are. I bought mine at Best Buy in the states so I can take it into Best Buy OR any APple store I happen to be near.
Its kinda like having a 'free refill coffee cup' that you purchased from a Tim Hortons (a chain in Canada). Easy to get a refill in Canada, won't be honored anywhere else. -
I have an apple tv about two years old. Bought for a present and they never took it. I tried to hook it up cut it get stuck on setting time and date. Any help?
If you can view the main home screen, try selecting "settings" on the far right, then choose recent at the bottom. If not, try just unplugging power for a few minutes, then plug in and try again. Keep in mind you'll need a wireless connection and there may be several updates. Hope this helps-

Are you from the US? Do you have a US account? You can try to log into the Japanese store, but you might not be able to. Go into Settings>iTunes & App Stores, Click on your Apple ID, and change locations. -
Incomplete Gift Certificate and no response from the Apple Store
On Dec. 22nd I purchased a gift certificate through iTunes for my sister. She received an email telling her how to redeem the card, it came without a redemption code and instead of my name she got [?]. The message said:
"You have received an iTunes Gift Certificate in the amount of $15.00 from [?]. To redeem your gift click the Redeem Now link above. Once you verify your account, $15.00 will be credited to your account, so you can start buying music right away."
She cannot redeem it. She clicks on the link provided at it asks for the redemption code which isn't there. My sister has contacted the help desk and they have been less than helpful repeatedly and is at wits end.
My credit card was billed for it on the 26th, however, my purchase history has no record of the transaction, so PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO RESEND THE GIFT RECEIPT AS I CANNOT.
I've sent an email message using the form at the bottom of the appropriate help screen a few days ago and still haven't received a response and there isn't any phone number to call.
Do I have any other choice than to contest this charge with my credit card company or file a small claims suit?

But it may be just that the iTunes Store customer service group is backed up with all the post-holiday issues (like yours) and will get back to you as soon as they can get to you. It often takes any company a while to dig out from the post-holiday rush of questions. It's only been barely two days (you contacted them on the 3rd) since you emailed them, and the form you used says that they'll try to respond within 72 hours (three days) under normal circumstances, which post-holiday times most definitely are not.
So have a bit of patience before you let fly with lawsuit threats; Apple's not trying to rip you off, they're just probably swamped. If you haven't heard anything by, say, Monday, try sending another message using the same form. Then you if still don't get a response toward the end of the week try Apple Customer Relations. But if you call them now, I'm sure they'll just say that you need to wait. -
Gift Certificate Redeem Code never emailed
I went to the Itunes store today online and purchased a $50 gift certificate for my partner. It has been 10 hours now and she still has not received it in her email. We checked all the spam filters and I resent this to three other email accounts to see if it would be delivered. It never showed up in any of the emails. We tried to call the Itunes Gift certificate support desk and it was impossible to get through the automated operator. Finally after 7 attempts we talked to someone and they said it could take up to 24 hours for the email to come through. We also put an email into the Itunes support helpdesk asking them to help. We haven't heard back yet. I really wanted her to be able to use the $50 gift certificate right away. How do I get the code to redeem my $50 and if I never get my code is the best course of action going to my bank/credit card company and disputing the charge. Please help, I just want my $50 code.

Itunes disabled, no gift certificate and What customer service?

First of all I purchased a gift certificate that my friend couldn't use and they still charged me for it.
Then they don't respond to my concerns about the gift certificate but give me canned messages about how they're "looking into it". It's been a month now by the way, and I've got to pay my credit card. I don't know about paying for a gift certificate that can't be used.
Now, not only am I being ignored, but my account with itunes has been disabled. Call me paranoid, but being disabled feels rather vindictive on their part.
What do you all think about the customer service? Is our only option going through the email system? I tried calling and the messages just send me to the websites and hangs up on me.
Also, customer service really doesn't respond very much. I've recieved maybe two canned messages from them through this month long process and no real answers. And believe me, I've sent them a lot of emails. Any advice?

Update won't install (KB2251489)
