please help me! i just got a new macbook air for xmas and i had a 50$ giftcard for itunes. i bought a movie and started to watch it and it only plays halfway through. i've tried to fix it, but nothing works.

I rented a movie via Itunes on my PC but half-way through the download recieved a "An unknown error has occured (-50)" notification. This is not my first rental, and I have verified my network and all connections to be good. I have rebooted Itunes and resumed the download of the movie only to receive the same error code. Has the movie file been corrupted? Can I recover the rental even though the time has elapsed? Will I be charged?
Did you figure this out? I haven't rented a movie in this new iTunes yet and saw one tonight I wanted to rent. Same fricken thing is happening to me. I hate this new iTunes, and I really hate that there are problems like this....why the heck do they have to fix something that isn't broken and break it? This just really stinks.

Ok, So I just purchased a song, and we it got done loading. I went to listen to it and It wouldn't play at all. This isn't the only one I bought a song that will only play half way. What can I do to fix this?

yepp, I have done numerous tests today, skipped router and hard wired betwenn PC and appletv3. same problem.
same network, but from my laptop, works like a charm.. so its not reproducable on all machines.

You can redownload any song that you have currently purchased for free through itunes on a computer or iOS device. After deleted attempt to redownload the song.

I have a new PC and I had to transfer my I tunes from my old PC to my new PC and now some of the songs only play half way through on both my PC and Ipod Classic
How can this be fixed, I noticed also that on I tunes on my PC before purchasing a song I listen to it and now it is only playing like 4 seconds of the song and I have opened up the URL and it still won't work correctly. PLEASE HELPAre these songs that you purchased from the iTunes Store or imported from outside of iTunes? If there are iTunes purchases, delete them from your main iTunes library and redownload them again at no cost via iCloud.

Attack! by Attack Attack and most of the songs will only play halfway then they will just go silent i have tried contacting apple about this but have found no real topic on their site to do with this problem and there seems to be no email address for support that i can find can an of you help me?
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Songs only play half way through and move on to next one
I have been using iTunes (10.5) on my Macbook Pro, OS 10.6.8 with no problems until this morning. When I turned on iTunes, I got a message stating that this computer was not authorized to play the song I chose. I received the same error message for all the other songs. And these were all songs that I had uploaded from my own CD collection a long time ago. So, I authorized the computer as requested by iTunes, although I thought I had done that before. Now none of the songs finish playing. The songs quit about half way through and then the next song starts. It is *extremely* annoying. Should I reinstall one of the older iTunes versions? Anyone else have this problem? I found old posts from 5-6 yeas ago but no solutions.

I purchased 2 albums today and a few songs on each only play half through then skip to the next. I deleted and redownloaded, still having the same problem.

I downloaded an album in the itunes store and the first and last songs only play half way through in itunes and then stop. My iphone sync'd wirelessly and got the complete songs. Any ideas on what happened? Can I redownload them?

Are they playing normal in iTunes or iPod?
if skipping in iPod, are you listening via the earphone jack or the iPod Docking station?
