Bought a movie on itunes, it won't play

I just bought a movie on itunes. Everytime I try and open the movie it says itunes has stopped working and closes down. What can I do to fix this? I am kind of angry because I payed $8 for the movie...

Unless you are in a country that does not let you re-download previous purchsses, then I would suggest that you delete the move from iTunes (drag it to the Trash), and re-download it.

HD movies with iTunes extra won't play on Apple TV.Tried to repurchase and message states, "Already purchased, would you like to view now?" Submitted "YES" and am taken to movie's menu with iTunes extra with no tab for 'PLAY'. Menu won't work at all.

Several movies I purchased won't play on Apple TV. They don't show up on my Apple TV menu, and if I search for them, the "Purchase HD movie" tab shows up. When I try to re-purchase, states "Already Purchased- would you like to view now". I answer "YES" and I'm taken to a screen without a "Play" tab. Other tabs such as "Extras" are frozen and don't work. Unable to see the movie or any of the iTunes extras.

I rented two movies on my apple TV 2nd gen. and they won't play.
When we try to play them it tries to load it and then says there is a loading error and try again later, but it never works.

I contacted apple support people, and they told me to delete and re download it, I did that and it still will not play, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if my itunes isn't up to date, or maybe it's because I'm not trying to play it on an apple device. You should be able to play films on windows computers, if it wasn't compatible with it (e.g. you should have got an error if you tried to buy an HD film on non-HD compatible computer).
The current version of iTunes is 11.4 - you can see if there are any updates available via the Help > Check For Updates menu option.

What happens when you try to play the film, and do other videos that you have in your iTunes play ok ?

It's the first time I've bought a movie from iTunes on my PC and it gives me glitches the enire movie aswell as the voices don't match the picture?

I got a new PC. I have an iTunes account on my iPod as well but I set it up properly on here as well this is a Pavilion HP G6 it has windows 8. I dowloaded iTunes onit, it works fine. I bought "We're the Millers" today on iTunes and it gets me upset I can't watch it. Every time I play it it glitches. After the first sevral glitches the voice loses the picture; the character on the screen isn't saying the right words at the right time. You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

Are you in a country where films can be redownloaded - the page that you posted from should list countries and where the different content types can be redownloaded. But even if you, not all countries have agreed to allow their films be redownloaded, and there is no guarantee that a film (or any other item) will remain in the store, so you shouldn't rely on being able to redownload them. You also can't add films and/or tv programmes to the cloud, whether an item appears there depends upon your country, the film studio, and if it remains in the store.

Can you not sync your iPod with iTunes? That should get the movie onto your computer. Now sync your iPad and transfer the movie?
