Bought a new computer 64 bit now i can't see my library

I bought a new computer it has windows 7. So i downloaded I tunes 10. Now when I open up the store I do not see any of my library, playlists, etc. Any help?

You need to move iTunes Folder(Library)/Media files from your old computer where your Device used to sync with over to the new one.

I actually copied most of my user application data from my old system to my new system and that includes all of my Firefox profiles. If I just wanted one profile, I would create the new profile on the new system and copy the old profile into it as I have much too much in the way of modifications to risk losing. as opposed to copying just a few files to the new profile.
Since it appears you only want/need your bookmarks file, then assuming your old system is operational and was using Firefox 3.0 or higher,
bring it up type in about:support or use Help -> Trouble Shooting Information then click on "Open Containing Folder" You will find your old places.sqlite file there or you can restore the latest .json file from the bookmarksbackups directory with the help of a USB thumb drive.
The places.sqlite file would be copied into your new profile with Firefox down and check the Windows Task Manager's Processes Tab to make sure firefox.exe is not running (Window's 7 only keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Esc).
If you restore a bookmarkbackups .json file you would do that with your new Firefox open and through the Library list ("Ctrl+Shift+B") then "Import and Backup" on the Library menu bar, then "Restore" then "Choose File" the restore will go very fast.
Since you are going to a new system and both Firefox 4 and Windows 7 may both be new to you, and I would suggest checking out the following two articles where you may find solutions to some of the problems with each, or how to work with them.
You can make Firefox 4.0.1 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)]

  • Bought a new PC with windows7 now I can't sync my iphone 3GS?

I purchased a new PC with windows7 and now my iphone 3gs will not sync previously purchased apps.  It keeps asking me to authorize this computer and when I enter my password another screen appears saying that this computer is already authorized but when I click OK then the previous screen appears wanting me to authorize this computer and it continues ad infinitum.  I tried reinstalling itunes and I went into the menu and authorized the computer again.  Nothing helps.  What can I do to get this phone to sync with my new computer?

  • Bought a new computer w/ Windows Vista.  Can't load iTunes

I just bought a new Dell XPS w/ Windows Vista. I cannot load iTunes. I've deleted and reinstalled several times, but each time, when I try to open iTunes, it tells me that "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." Help?!

While playing with the pre-release versions of Vista I had numerous iTunes problems though I could get it to run. Just not reliably. Since Vista was just released, and that just for businesses officially, we'll just have to wait for an update. Remember, Zune software doesn't work on Vista either.

  • HT4946 I bought a new computer and want to put my Ipod touch music library onto this new computer.  How do I do this?

Can anyone help?  Can I get my iTunes library from my Ipad touch into my new PC?  From what I've read, it looks like I have to buy a special software to move it over.  However, I thought when I bought the ipod that it said I could have the library on other computers. Or was it that the library could be on several ipod devices?  Thanks for any help.

Everything else works fine. I've tried with 3 different modems. I was told it wasn't the modem. Something else is preventing The PDF file from loading.I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, checked all the settings. I can't find anything wrong. • HT5577 When I bought a new computer with Windows8.1, iTunes wouldn't accept my old ID and password, so I set up a new ID and password.  Now I can't locate or sync my old library of music onto my iPOD.  Any ideas?

when I bought a new computer with Windows8.1, iTunes wouldn't accept my old ID and password.  After entering a new ID and password I got in, but now I can't sync the music that was in my original library.  When I try to sync a message says that music will be removed from "other" libraries, so I know they're out there somewhere.  Just can't get to them.  Any ideas?

    - Is the computer authorized for the iTunes account(s) used on the iPod?
    - Are you syncing or manually managing music?
    - In iTunes if you go to Preferences and then go to the Devices tab, what date is show for the iPod backup? Is if before you switched computers?
    - Your iPod sees the new computer as a new library/computer and you can only sync to one library.  You need to restore you iPod from a backup.  If that bacup is hosw in Preferences, restore from that backup.
    - If the backup is after you switched computers, you have two options:
--- Try to make a backup by right clicking on the iPd under Devices in iTunes and selecting backup.
--- If you can't make a backu, can you get one from the backup of your old computer.  It is located here and yu may have to have show hidden files turned on.

Nope, you can install it on your new computer with no issues. The disc contains both the 32 and 64 bit versions.

You need to use the backup of your PC to transfer all the music files to iTunes on the Mac.
If you have no backup then you have a difficult task ahead of you as iTunes will only allow you to sync purchased music from the iPhone back into iTunes.   Any music you loaded into iTunes yourself will not transfer from the iPhone to iTunes, this is to prevent stealing of music.  To sync iTunes purchased music from the iPhone to iTunes, connect the iPhone and open iTunes, but when asked do NOT sync the device.  then right click on the iPhone in the iTunes source list and select the 'Transfer Purchases' option, you will also find this commend in the File menu.
If you are in the US, you can use the new iTunes in the Could feature to redownload your iTunes purchased music / apps / books for free.
If you want to transfer all the content from your iPhone to you Mac then you will need to use Google to find a 3rd party piece of software that will do this for you.
