Bought a new computer. Want to transfer my library to new computer

Hi.
I bought a new computer and want to be able to use itunes on it. It IS possiable to get into my itunes account from a new computer right? how d i do it? I don't want to haveto start my library all over agian and buy al that music.
ANy help would be much appriciated.

This Apple article tells you how to tranfer your music using your iPod:

However the basic method works just as well if you use an external hard drive to do the transfer.
The stage called "Is all the music together?" is extremly important if you want the method to work, what ever method you use to tranfer your iTunes folder to the new PC.

Copy your iTunes Library from your Old computer, or it’s Backup, to your New computer...

I have tried just copying my iTunes folder across to my new iMac, but it doesn't recognise all of the music (but it does recognise some?). Can someone please tell me the best way to transfer my iTunes library from my PC to my iMac?

Copy the entire /My Music/iTunes/ folder from your PC to /Music/ on your Mac.

Homesharing gives you the option of seeing only the content in the shared library, that is not already in your own library.

Due to a divorce all my music is on my iTunes and iPod. I had to buy a new computer and want to transfer my Library to the new computer. How can I do this without using an external drive and use new computer just like I do the old one? Thanks.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. i tried to copy and paste from the itouch library onto itunes library but i can't.
i don't have backup files for the stuff either so i'm stuck.

Apparently I wasn't clear. The music on my ipod is but a subset of all the music on my external hard drives. I want to import only the songs and playlists from my existing ipod into the itunes library on my new computer, which currently has no music or playlists. How can I do this?

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

You can only import photos from the camera roll into the computer. Is that the album that you are seeing?
Any albums that you create on the device itself (the iPad that is) cannot be transferred to your computer. iPad created albums do not contain copies of your photos but merely pointers to those photos so they do not actually exist in those albums.
