Best route here is to uninstall iTunes completely using the Windows Control Panel.
Make sure you know exactly which version of Win 7 you're running.
Restart your computer from cold (with no iTunes).
Go to Apple website and download the correct version for your operating system. Install following Apple prompts.
Once installed, close iTunes.
Restart your computer from cold (with new iTunes).
Start iTunes - all should be operating well! Good luck ...

I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the 27" screen from your iMac to view and work FCE in the Mac Mini environment);
2. Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCE and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly. There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:

Installed ios 6 on new iPad and siri will not work.

Good morning, I installed ios6 on the new iPad and siri will not work. Each time I try to use siri she says "uh oh, I'm having a problem. Please try again. I have tried turning siri off and back on again. Resetting the iPad, resetting the network, turning Airplane Mode off and on again. All to know avail. My iphone 5 works great and so does my wife's iphone 4s with ios6. I have called Apple support but there only suggestion was that the servers were busy. If that was the case my other devices would not work either. Plus the servers wouldn't be busy for four days. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I was looking forward to using siri on the new iPad and other folks don't seem to be having a problem.

Then you need to change your device details as this still says iPad2.
It's very possible Apple's servers have been busy for 4 days as not everyone downloaded iOS 6 on the day it was announced. I downloaded it last Friday, myself, as an example.
There are a millions and millions of people using Apple iDevices.
Just because everything went fine with the iOS 6 updates of your iPhone 4 and 5 doesn't mean something couldn't have gone wrong with an update to your iPad3
If the iOS update missed something during the download, I am not sure how to go about re-downloading iOS 6 to fix the issue you are having.

Product code for CS6 student version bought with new Mac as a bundle not working?!?

Okay, this is just annoying now
Bought a brand new Macbook with CS6 Design Standard as a bundle through Apple's webstore, but the product code is not working when I try to register at adobe.com/go/edu-apple.
I chat with customer support online, and the person says he will open a case, which he will send to my e-mail, but nothing has happened...
Come on Adobe, we love your software, but you really got to treat your customers well.
Would someone be so kind to help me solve this issue?

Allan which country are you in? The education eligibility varies by country/region. Please see Education FAQ - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html for information on how to submit your eligibility information. Depending on your country will depend on who to address your concern with invalid product code.
If you can return the software to Apple then I might advise purchasing through Adobe directly. If you use your EDU e-mail address then the eligibility process is greatly expedited.
Finally if needed you can download and install CS6 in trial mode for up to 30 days. This would allow you to work on your thesis while sorting out the details of your invalid product code. You can download the CS6 installation files from http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html.

My Firefox quit working. I threw it in trash and downloaded new version. It will not work. I get message that firefox cannot load tabs. What can I do?

Firefox has been loading slowly the past week. It hung up today. I closed it and upon reopening it gave error message: "Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page." It screened an option to eliminate one or more tabs the two available were: "Window 1" and "about blank". I could do nothing with either. The other choice was to restore session and that did not work. I trashed the Firefox folder from my Applications folder and downloaded new version of Firefox. When I open it I get the same message. I have rebooted computer and downloaded new Firefox version twice. Can't make it work. I am using a MAC with 10.6.8 OS.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Ical will not delete and whatever i manage to delete comes right back!

i am new to Apple, have a mac air. i imported my calendar from cozi. i am not synching w/ anything, but it wil not let me delete many things and what i do delete comes right back. i found a command to do on the "terminal" that sid not work. i tried searching for all ther appointments by name and deleteing all also to no avail. Firefox crashes, have uploaded new version (8) and will not work unless I turn off my firewall, when I turn it back on again it crashes?

Everything was ok until early last week when Firefox kept on and on crashing. I downloaded the new version on Saturday and all was fine until I switched on on Sunday and nothing, zilch. Opened in internet explorer and all was OK so knew it had to be Firefox. I disabled my Firewall and all came on perfectly, as soon as firewall goes on again Firefox goes off. I have now done a system restore back thingy (I'm sure you know what I mean!!) to before the download and am now having to put up with it crashing when it feels like it. Also very slow and sticky. I am working on Windows 7 if this helps.
If this cannot be resolved satisfactorily I will change to Safari or Internet Explorer as this is not the first problems I have had with Firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

G5 new coolant pump replacement will not work

Hi, I have researched the internet and found a vast amount of good help regarding the replacement of the coolant pump installed in some G5 towers. However, after installing a brand new Swiftech MCP350 coolant pump and filling the system with coolant, I can not get the pump to operate. To test it, I am using a bench power supply at 12 volts and current limited to 2 amps. I have not modified the wires from the pump at all. When I connect 12v to the yellow wire and ground to the black wire, the power supply voltage drops to 0 and the pump does nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

when replacing your G5 (Delphi?) pump with the new MCP350, do you remember how you wired it to go from three wires to four?
I have just got a Laing pump, which should be identical to the Swiftech. It has three wires (black/blue/yellow = ground/tacho/12V) and a blank connection on the PCB. I'm wondering if that blank could go straight to the fourth wire and provide variable speed control?
Other threads speak of a bridge between two pins on the PCB, one of which is the 12V and the other the variable speed, but my PCB (DDC3.1) just has a blank connection at position 3 as you look at it. Any info would be much appreciated.
