Bought a NuPower replacement battery, but can't get my MacBook to see it.

Hi Everyone!
Bought a NuPower replacement battery and installed it.  Rebooted and the fans are running at full tilt.  Did a SMC reset and a PRAM zap.  Shut down.  Restarted and the battery icon still has an X in it (no batteries available).  Fans are running fast as well (again).
Repeated this a few times, but still can't get the MacBook to see it.

Having problems as well.
It has been less then 48 hours that I have installed the new battery and it's still not charging. It says that I has 51% of charge, but it has not pass that number in the past 48 hours. I have reset the PRAM and SMC and no change.
When I go the System Information, I see that it recognize it, but it does not what to charge:
