Bought a refurb Macbook pro a week ago. Return it for the new one?
I recently bought a refurbished macbook pro and realize that the new one has just come out. Give that I am still within the 14 day window to return it is this course of action advisable? Here are the specs on the refurbished one I just bought for 1600: RFB MBP 15.4/2.3/2X2GB/500/SD/HR-AG-USA . Thanks for sage words of wisdom and advice!

Hi. It could be that the more you pile on the HD, the longer it will take to boot. When I first bought my MBP, it took maybe 30 seconds. But as I began putting more content on the HD, it seemed to take a bit longer to boot. You may also want to consider putting your MBP in sleep mode. That's what I do with mine and it doesn't hurt at all as far as I can tell.

Not that's not normal and is one of the Problems I was having before Restoring as New...
Just make sure you Sync ALL your important Info... Contacts... Music... Etc... to your Computer...
and then do a Restore as New...
i was a bit reluctant at First, because I hadn't done it before... But it was So Easy and am Really Glad I did...

You do not need to "sign up" for downloading updates. Just run Software Update and let it access them directly thru the App Store.

Im using intel macbook pro 13" and since I'm using the new OSX Lion, the keyboard backlit won't turn off and it's eating up my precious battery. Im always mobile so this is very important. Apple doing something to fix this bug immediately?

Don't use TM for this purpose, clone your drive to an external, plug the external into another MBP and reboot from it. Please note that booting a machine that came with Lion may not be possible from a drive with Snow Leopard. -

Yes, it supports target display mode. Windows can be run with either Parallels or Boot Camp.

Is there any deal like this?Apple has a rebuy and recycle program, but you won't get much for your old MBP from that program. Your best bet is to just sell it yourself (I used eBay) and use the money you get to buy your new computer.

No. Your "problem" isn't covered by the warranty. It's not malfunctioning. It's working exactly as it was designed to. Sell your phone and use the proceeds to buy a new one.
You can't get a replacement from your car just because the newer models off the line are being built with a feature yours didn't come with. -

Go to the Apple Store webpage and in the upper right go to Account and select Track an Order. There you will find the status of your order. You only get a tracking order when the items ships.
