Bought a song on iTunes but it won't play

So, I bought an album on Itunes but one song in the album does not play on the computer or the iphone. It start but then it just jumps over to the next song after some seconds of being quiet. What has happened? What can I do?

Try playing that one song in Quicktime Player. Does it play all the way, or does it end early? If it ends early it is possible you have a bad download. You can delete the song from iTunes, then download it again. If it only jumps in iTunes you can browse back posts where others have had similar issues. I haven't seen any single, quick cures. Some people have managed to get the 'skipping last 40 seconds' issue to clear with applying a system update to their computer.

So recently I bought a song (Radioactive - Rita Ora) in the canadian iTunes store, and it said there was an error downloading it, now it's just sitting there and I cannot play it nor can I delete it, I bought a lot of songs before that one that same night, it downloaded on my phone perfectly but it's just an issue on my mac.

I downloaded a song from iTunes but it won't play on my iPad

Hi, I purchased a single on iTunes, downloaded it directly onto my iPad, played it twice but now it won't play anymore! I synced with my pc and it plays on there fine. Does anyone know how I fix this bar paying for another download? Thanks

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I see my songs in iTunes, but they won't play

I recently had problems with my computer and got a new hard drive. The people that changed the hard drive saved "My Music" folder with all the songe (2000 of them). I just downloaded iTunes again and get the message:
"iTunes detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio playback may not operate properly"
I can see all my songs and playlists like before, but when I click on a song, nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas? I spent a lot of time (and money) getting my music just the way I want it and I can't face redoing it all.

Try re-installing QuickTime as explained here. iTunes uses the QT audio codecs to play files.

I understand you are having issues with playback of a purchased song. If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, it might be best to delete the song from your computer, then re-download from your purchase history.
To delete a song the following Knowledge Base article offers how to delete from your iOS device:

Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
Click Songs in the navigation bar.
Click the song you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.
Afterwards, re-download the purchases from your purchase history:

Rented a movie on itunes, but it won't play or transfer, why?

I rented a movie on itunes, but when trying to play it the computer prompts me "itunes has stopped working" and then crashes. Then when trying to transfer the rental, thinking it was possibly a computer issue, itunes then notifies me that it cannot transfer because my computer has not been authorized to play the movie. I've seen this when downloaded to a computer/device that wasn't authorized. Try to re-authorize in case it (or someone else) became de-authorized again.

You might try listening to the songs from other devices or systems to make sure it doesn't have to do with your computer specifically.
Also try to preview the songs from your computer and any other devices if possible to see if the preview sounds any different.
If you're still having issues you should contact iTunes support:

Once you get there, choose Music Purchases from the list, then choose Music Purchases again, and it will let you Email them directly about the issue.
Give them the names of the songs you bought and as detailed a description of the audio issue as possible.

I just purchased a song off Itunes on my lap top and transfered it to my Ipod. But when i go to play it on my laptop and on my ipod it cuts off after 48 seconds. On my lap top it changes to a different song but on my ipod the rest of the 4 minute song is just blank. Any advice? thanks a ton!

DLed song from iTunes and it won't play...no error messages

I downloaded two songs from iTunes the other day. One plays fine along with all of my existing music in my library, but the other one simply won't play. No error messages, nothing. It just won't play. This is the only song in my library with this issue.
What are my options? Any ideas?
