Bought a USB superdrive to watch dvds on Mac Pro but dvds pop out once inserted.Help!

You can try some of these to fix:
1. Clean drive check nothing is obstructing inserting disks hence then ejecting.
2. Reset PRAM/NVRAM:
About NVRAM and PRAM
3. Return to apple store and have replaced

My Internal HD became corrupt and it would not boot up so I installed My osx onto a new HD via usb and then inserted into my macbook pro but it wont boot up. It will only boot up if i connect via usb how can i boot it as an internal HD?

Sorry genius.....but if the Recovery disk shows up that means the disk cable isn't bad. Could be he did have a screwed up HDD and when he put the NEW HDD in (after putting the OS on it via USB) the computer didn't reconize it and therefore didn't boot the OS. Just maybe right genius? Don't rush to criticize someone's recommendations until you realize other possibilities. (I did say "if it does")

USB drive no longer recognized in macbook pro but recognized by other macbook pro
USB drive previously recognized, removed without correctly ejecting, now not recognized at all. Tried it in other macbook pro and it popped up just find. I can see it in Utilities/Disk Utility area and tried to repair but still not showing up in Finder.

I can't find my USB SuperDrive in finder of my MacBook Pro
I am trying to burn a file of pictures to a disc that is inside my SuperDrive. The problem is my MacBook Pro doesn't show the dive in finder, so when I right click and tell it to burn to disc nothing happens. Can someone help me?
I have gone there and DVDs are checked. Should I uncheck it?

Just purchased new system. (never had an apple before) so I am all at sea. followed the instructions to uodate the system. whenI inserted a cd with program to be installes foe a Mac, it was ejected. inserted a cd with 'jpeg files only on it it too was rejected, with no message. Am I missing anything?
I suggest you return the Apple Superdrive and buy any other brand external DVD drive that connects by USB port.
Any brand will work with your Mac, cost less and work better. -

if you have a non-Retina MacBook Pro, the following command could allow a USB SuperDrive to work with it.
Log in as an administrative user, open Terminal, run the following command within Terminal, close Terminal, and then restart your MacBook Pro:
sudo nvram boot-args="mbasd=1"
(When it asks you for a password, enter the administrative user’s password.) -

I just bought a new iMac and now I amtrying to use it as a screen for my Macbook pro, but it don’t have a MiniDisplayPort the new model only have Thunderbolt which my Macbook don’t have. Isthere any way to connect this two mac’s anyway??
Screen sharing setup in 10.5, 10.6 are described by the links by operating system. 10.7 is fairly similar to 10.6.
And if both Macs have Firewire, you can setup a Firewire over IP network for fast communication between machines. Note if you have two different Firewire ports a 6 pin to 9 pin Firewire cable does exist. There are no Firewire to USB cables. -
i have had apple tv since last april and i could play films from dvd player from mac book but for some reason this has stopped working from dvd player when i put the dvd player on apple tv i get a black and white screen i can hear the film but i cannot see it, i went to my local store and they but vlc on for me but its terrible the film always jumps every time.
Can anyone now the reason this has happen as i watch film offern but its driving me crazy why i cannot play from macbook pro to dvd player. i have been told it was a sercuity problem with the films so do i use itunes every time i need to watch a film if so then apple tv is a waste of money thanks please helpThis is supposed to happen, licensing issue mean that Apple can't AirPlay protected content to other devices. You might try VLC instead of Apples built in DVD player.

External USB devices including hard drives and DVD work fine on the new Macbook Pros. -

all it says online is that you can burn dvds, not about anything else.Every Mac that has an optical drive can play DVD movies and read DVD data discs. I watch DVDs on my MacBook Pro too

I want to watch an iTunes rental video on my MacBook Pro but AirPlay the audio to my AirPort Express linked speakers. However the AirPlay icon isn't available when arching the rental video in iTunes. Is there another way? Do I need to but an AppleTV? I don't own a TV, hence why I want to watch on my MacBook Pro.

With or without an Apple TV you can't send video to one device and audio to another using AirPlay. -
I downloaded and bought a movie from iTunes on my iPad and now want the same movie on my MacBook Pro but its not offering me to download it, it giving me the options of buying it which I already did. How I get the movie onto my MacBook?
You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page. -
