Bought a Photo Transfer app that continues to say waiting and will not open. What can I do?

This usually happens if there is another download in progress, like another app is updating or downloading. If there are no other apps downloading or updating then you may want to restart your device to try to resume the download of the app that way. I've seen this happen before and the download started after the restart of the device.

Although having it loading 5 at a time is not ideal, the iPad is more than capable of doing it, it merely pauses those after the first requested. It will install one at a time then go to the next, installing one at a time rather than trying to do a group like this shouldn't yield any great benefit.
Also don't forget that some apps are hundreds of MB in size so depending on your internet connection will just take a lot longer to download than those which are only 1 or 2 MB in size.
I only have a 0.8MB broadband connection when it's at it's fastest so am used to checking the sizes of apps before downloading, it's very frustrating when you forget and hit download only to spend the next 30 mins or so watching a blue progress bar creep across te 10 mm of icon space!!

Creative cloud app downloading.. continues to say waiting and will not continue downloading
using a mac pro computer. I am unable to download apps
If you are getting waiting status after 42% , follow below steps.
Do not Quit Creative Cloud application when it is showing the progress status as " Waiting" . Because if we close , the installer file will disappear from Tmp temporary storage.
1) Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.
/Tmp
It will open Tmp folder with list of sub folders inside .
Search for Illustrator/ In Deisgn .dmg file . and then copy it to Desktop.
Once you had copied .dmg file to Desktop.
Launch Activity Monitor and "Force Quit" all the process related to Adobe like Creative Cloud, CoreSync, AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon , Setup , Install....etc from Activity monitor.
Then double click on Illustrator/ InDeisgn .dmg file and try to install . -

Restart your iPod. Hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the red slider then swipe to power off. Then hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the Apple logo.

To Update the App you have to Use the Same Apple ID it was Purchased with...

First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I bought the app Atari greatest hits package for $9.99 and now the app will not even open... Every time I try to open it it closes on its own...any suggestions?
Try deleting it and reinstalling it.
you can also try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds or so until it reboots and see if that helps. -

DavidI've just found out the reason for this behaviour. I am syncing from a computer which is different to the one I first synced with. iTunes can't cope with this situation so deletes anything synced from another source.

Original OSX 10.5.6 and app dvd's (that came w/MBP) lost,and have recv'd replacement dvd from Apple. Once hard drive is erased and new OS w/dvd instl'd, how do I insure all applications bundle - that came with MBP - will reinstall?
Your profile says you have 10.6, so why bother with the original 10.5 OS?
But to your question, before you erase anything, make a backup of your data for safe keeping and restoration. Having an external hard drive for this purpose is most useful. -

You should be able to open the zipped file by double clicking on it.

Quit the App Store then try re downloading the apps.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID.
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install. -
It is hooked up to good wifi and it is updating apps and not updating it just says waiting and it wont update or install anything while it is doing that how do I get it to stop updating?

Try a soft-reset and see if it works after your phone has restarted (it seems ot have fixed the error for a number of people on here) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
