If you pull down the centre of the iPad's homescreen (not from right at the top of the screen as that will open notifications) to open the search field, if you type in the name of the audiobook or the name of the author does that find it ?
If not then you could try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

My iphonee ringtone volume is in high,, ,but no sound, why.? I tried everything i can...help

I dont know what happen to my phone is on high vol. But still just vibrates...what else can i do?

I suggest you start with the suggestions from Applefandan. Check the silent ringer switch, check the volume and play around with different ringtones and options.
Put in your earplugs and check if you get sound from the ringtones when you have them in.
Do you get sound from the iPod and youtube app from the external speaker?
Have you recently upgraded to 4.3.2?
I have an iPhone 4 that I got yesterday. I upgraded it to 4.3.2 straight away and after that I realized that I couldn't get any ringtones to work, no sounds from external speaker at all regardless of which function or app I was using.
In my case it could be a hardware issue, I simply couldn't tell since I don't know if it was working prior to 4.3.1 but I can't rule out that it's a software issue that comes with 4.3.2 either even though I think that would cause some more ripples here on the supportforum.

Solved this??. does appear to be the order in which the equipment is connected... first, HDMI cable connected to TV and computer, then switch on computer, then switch on TV.. seems to work with picture and sound coming from TV each time so far... (Plus, on one occasion I had to check "mute" was off!!)

Bought an audiobook, but it is not showing in library or on iTouch

purchased an audiobook on iTunes. It never appeared in my library of books and did not show up on the iTouch i was syncing. when i select the audiobook again in iTunes, it says i already purchased it and will be billed twice. Not in Downloads either.

Have you tried copying it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and seeing if it plays ok on your computer ? If it does then try deleting it from your iPad and then sync it back and see if it then plays. Mov is a container format, you'd need to look at the codec used by the movie file inside the container to know whether it will work with the Apple TV or not.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on.

I really love my itouch but anything beyond using it as a daytimer, camera and note keeper is shear torture.

I search for a solution to a problem, such as, "How do I download an audiobook" - I get a web page of all the things that itouch can do, but no instructions on how to do them.

Have you checked to see whether it's in the Music app (iTunes on the iPad it just the store, it doesn't contain your downloaded and synced content) ? When you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library.

I uploaded 3 audiobooks from iTunes to my iPhone 5 with the latest ios7 on it. Each of them only plays the first 15 mins of the playback and then silence, the bar shows the book is still playing but no sound, any ideas? Thanks

What happens when playing the same books in iTunes. Is there sound after 15 min?
If also silent in iTunes, check the info tab where you can see the item is an audiobook, etc. Check the volume bar, this normally is on the zero point.
When an audio book is really low in audio, I tend to move this to the plus side (+1=max), but for some strange reason this bar was at -1 in some books I had and they also seemed to play in absolute silence.
