Can someone please help me of how to restore an iPod touch 5 generation. I bought it at eBay. But previous owner did not restore it. When I tried to do it it's asking for his email password.

Your choices:
- Get the Apple ID and passsword and enter it
- Get the previous ownder to remove the iPod from their account

- Return the iPod for a refund
- Keep th iPod and now yo have an expensive thin brick and have learned a lesson. It could be that the iPod was stolen or lost. Apple will not help.

I hope you bought this from a store, you can return it and get your money back. BUT if you bought from a person off the street or off the net, someone you don't know... I'm thinking you just got screwed! And are out the money and have an expensive paper weight. I hope I'm wrong, but I think you have a stolen iPod. If you can find the person that sold it to you return it and get your money back, but I'm thinking they are long gone. If you can not find the person report it to the police and turn it over. - How did you dlete stuff from the iPod? If you have a 1G or 2G iPod and deleted the stuff by going to Settings>Genera.>Reset>Erase aall contents and settings without being connected to a power source, the battery dies before he erase was comleted since it can take hour.
- In any event try the following:
- Connect to a chaging sour for three hours.
- Reset the iPod and then connect to the computer and try to restore va iTunes.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next try placing the iPod in recovery moe and then try to restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
- Last try DFU made and restore.

I bought an ipad2 from a private individual for my wife's birthday. When she tries to update an app, she is asked for the former owner's password, which we do not have. How can I fix this so it asks for her apple password?
If the app was bought with the formers owners Apple ID, you cannot update the app with her ID. Apps belong to the ID that was used to purchase them. The former owner should have erased the iPad before he sold it to you and his ID would not be popping up.
If these were apps that your wife bought, then her ID would be popping up, unless I am missing something. -
I just bought an IPod Gen 5 off craigslist. Im trying to erase and reset it, but it wont let me. It wants the previous owners password. Also, I cant log out of their Icloud, and log in under mine.

Need help Changing the previous owners settings for the app store. I can't buy any apps. Because it asks for previous owners information.
I had this same problem, and it was erased.
For some really odd reason iPads sometimes retain the last user iTunes account on first visit to the iTunes store.
I am thinking it is actually the iTunes store recognising the iPad, and so 'helping' by showing the last log in settings.
So I would also recommend Erase All Content and Settings to start.
If that was done then what you need to do is log in, or create your own itunes account.
This is in Settings, Store.
create your own iTunes account (or log in with an old one).
Purchase something.
Then (as long as you don't have any app from the last owner on) it should never ask for the old account again. -

If you registered the older version of the software you might be able to find the serial number in your Adobe account online under My Products.

The previous user needs to do this, or the iPad can't be used. If the person selling it is not the previous user, the iPad may be stolen.

I have bought an iMAC second hand but when updates to purchased (not by me) Apps I cannot download the updates as it is asking for the original owners password. How can I amend this or could I delete the Apps and download new ones in place under my email
If the machine was upgraded to Lion 10.7.x by the original owner then you bought an illegal license of Lion and also of any other applications that the seller said came pre-installed, this assumes the seller did not include original install media. In that case you need to contact the seller for the original install DVDs that came with the machine re-install up to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then purchase Mountain Lion ($20) and the applications you want or need. If the seller cannot come up with the original install discs then you can buy them from a nominal cost from AppleCare..

I recently bought a used iPod touch generation 5 and reset it (erased everything from it because the previous owner left a passcode on it) and I had to enter my language,wi-fi stuff, and then it said "Activate iPod" This iPod is currently linked to an Apple ID (c*****@k*****.net). Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPod. The man who sold it to me said he bought it from another guy and sold it to me..So, I don't know what to do! I searched it up and it said you could go to iCloud and iTunes, but It's not working for me. Please help!!

All content and data is forever associated with the Apple ID you used to download it. You should have reset the password for the original I'd.
