Bought Apps
When buying Apps is the charge per phone or per account with Itunes and Iphone what ever I bought my wife could also put on her Iphone.Went ahead and ordered 3 Droid X for the family coming from AT&T and Iphone to this will be a learning curve but I've always liked a challenge so been reading as much as I can find before they get here.

I suppose if you set up all the phones with the same gmail address you technically could share apps. I am not sure if that is possible but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't be. Essentially your Google account is like your itunes account. The apps are stored to your google account so that if you change phones you sign in with your Google account and PAID Apps (Paid only unfortunately) follow your Google account.

I tried syncing my Iphone4 apps on a "new" computer. I was told that the computer was not registered with iTunes and could not back up all the bought apps. When I went to check on the iPhone after this I noticed (have been blind not to) that almost all of my bought apps were missing. After I registered the "new" computer and sync'ed my apps nothing removed showed back up. How do I get these apps back?
I tried syncing on the "old" computer and all the apps were grayed out with some unchecked. Since they are grayed out I cannot unchecking and sync them.
The difference between the "new" and "old" computer is the OS. New has Win7 old is XP.An iPhone can only sync to one computer at a time. When you synced to the new one without first copying your iTunes library from the old one it deleted the apps because they were not on the new computer. You could have transferred them from the iPhone to the new computer before the first sync as described in the manual, but now it is too late for that.
Fortunately, you can redownload apps without having to pay for them again as long as the iTunes account is the same on the new computer as it was on the old. -
I forgot my Apple ID password. and I tried to rest it but I don't get a reset email to change the password. What do I need to do to return the account. (I need the specified account because I bought apps with it.)

hello, i have recently purchased an ipod touch.i am having trouble with apps. i have bought apps off itunes but it wont appear on my ipod. i have synced the ipod with the computer multiple times but still no luck. i think it has something to do with my settings but i am not sure.please any helpwill be very much appreciated.thank you
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
Someone has hacked my itunes account and bought apps with my credits. Is there a way to get my credits back or can I get the apps they bought on my ipad/ipod/iphone? and yes I have changed my password.

As titled.
I bought many apps from iTunes at the end of last year, and then my computer had got problem that I had to format and reinstall everything.
I just want to know how can I restore the previously bought apps once if I forgot to backup any of my files on the computer??

FYI: At that time I was using iPad 1 and the OS was still 3.1.x. Now I am using iPhone 4 and would like to restore the apps at least those that are compatible to my phone.How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store

I changed SW of IPHONE 4 to newest, also as Itunes.

ThanksIf they have 'open' next to them then that implies that they are already on your iPad - if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ? If it does then they are on your iPad. You've checked all your homescreens and tried a soft-reset to see if they show after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How to recover previously bought apps from other region?
I just got myself $10 itunes giftcard and the only way to use it by changing region to usa. So, i change my region to usa. I found out that my previously bought apps are gone and when i'm trying to change my region again, it says i nid to spend all my remaining credits which is $0.04 . Is there any ways for to change my region to my original region. Please. I hope that apple staffs can help me. I have bought many apps before. I don't want to lose it for some $10 worth apps. iTunes Store content is country specific. When you change countries, you no longer receive app update notifications on your iOS device or in iTunes for the apps you purchased in your original country, nor do those Apps appear on your new country's Purchased page.
However, you will still be able to download those applications again for free if they are present on your new country's store (even if they are updated).You will not be charged and the download will not appear on your Purchased page. If a previously purchased app is not available in your new country, you will not be able to download it again.

With regards to changing the country associated with your account back to what it was before, you will need to deplete the remaining store credit on your account first.
You can use your remaining store credit by purchasing an item, and paying the extra amount using a valid US credit card, debit card, or PayPal account.

Unfortunately, I just had my iPhone looked at today at the Genius Bar because the battery life was being erratic.
I haven't been using my phone for most of the day since then (when it did it worked fine), but just about a half hour ago I tried to open the facebook application and the blank, unloaded screen opened up and immediately went back to the home page.
I looked at my other apps and found that this same thing, where the blank, unloaded screen opens up and then goes right back to home, happens with all of the apps that I've bought, but not ones I've gotten directly from Apple.
Has this been happening to anyone else?
Is it possible to fix?
What helps even less is that I'm leaving on a month long trip in two days and have no free time to take myself to another Apple store to get this figured out before I leave.

I've installed iPhone OS 3.0, everything worked fine for several days, included bought apps and then after a crash, there was no way to launch bought apps (the same way the others experienced it).
I was away from my computer so I wasn't able to try anything on it (sync, restore, etc...).
Reboot iPhone several times, reset, hard reboot, log off/log in appstore account: NONE WORKED
Finally, I went into App Store on iPhone, then in updates, I've updates some app I have to update and... YES, it fixed the problem for me.
I was able to launch my bought apps again. Everything worked fine again and I recovered all my apps with all my prefs, scores, etc...

Bought apps not reflected as "Downloaded" on account
I have two iTunes Store accounts. (One in the US, one in SG)
I have purchased a considerable number of apps in the SG Store before i started using the US Store (full-time now)
The Context:
iTunes used to display as "Downloaded" all the apps I have purchased and downloaded no matter which account I was logged in to.
For example
Jetpack Joyride was bought on the SG Store account.
In the SG Store account, it is reflected as "Downloaded"
In the US Store account, it is also reflected as "Downloaded"
However:
iTunes no longer displays as "Downloaded" the apps I have purchased and Downloaded. Apps are only reflected as "Downloaded" on the account it was bought in.
For example
Jetpack Joyride was bought on the SG Store account,
In the SG Store account, it is reflected as "Downloaded"
In the US Store account, it is now "$0.99 BUY"
any ideas how to make iTunes reflect all bought apps/present in the Library as "Downloaded"?

YakubThe iPhone and the Mac do not run on the same operating system. IPhone apps do not run on a Mac. Mac apps do not run iPhone. If the developer has created an app for both the iPhone and the Mac they almost always sell them separately in the respective app stores.
