Bought book wont open in my Nook reading tablet

Hi,
I recently bought (or so I thought) J.K Rowlings "A casual vacancy" at IBooks. Then I moved the book from my Macbook Air to my reading device Nook. It did not look ok because the cover was blank and did not show the right picture. Then when I clicked on the book it did not open... which means that it is not there. I tried to transfer the book again, the result was the same. No book - no contents. There is a picture of a book, but it is not the right one. Can anyone help me?

Ok but I´ve also transferred a free book from ITunes and that worked ok... The few books I´ve managed to load on to my Nook and read all end with .epub, and that format works fine with Nook (including the free book from iTunes).
I should´ve written that I bought Rowling´s book from iTunes, not iBooks... Does that matter?

all was good and then today I was finishing book and it will no longer open. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

My address book wont open anymore

I am having trouble opening my address book, it just stopped working about 2 weeks ago and I can't find any information to get it to work again. Please help

Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:

After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, proceed as follows:
1. Open /Applications/Utilities/Console.
2. From the File menu, choose either Open Console Log, or Open System Log, or both, so that the Console application displays the contents of both system.log and console.log.
3. In the Finder, go to /Applications/, and try to open Address Book by double-clicking on it. Look at the bottom of the Console windows for messages that might be written there as a result. They may provide some clues as to what the problem is.

Maybe someone can figure this out. When I click my "address book" in the dock I get a big"?". I can open and get info. when using dashboard. I recently installed MS Word and had to reinstall "Ical" and "appleworks". Hopefully I don't have to do that. Is there a simple solution?

Pdf wont open in IE9 with Reader 10.1.5 the 2nde time

Hi,
I get an error 000:105 when i try to open the same pdf again within the brower. i read it can be a bug in 10.1.5 and other 9 and 11 versions but is there already a workaround for this issue and is this issue still present in version 10.1.6 and higer versions fixed in march ?

same problem with 10.1.6 and it seems more to do with links with % in the url ... first time no problem, sencond time it can not find the page for some reason or a popup occours saying that i need to close Acrobat Reader if it is still opened somewhere.

I have uninstalled every adobe product on my PC which is running Windows XP Pro SP3, then downloaded Adobe Reader X again and reinstalled it.

After Effects wont open error message

Hello.
My After effects wont open. I've read many forums and info that others have written about it not opening. Stuff about erasing fonts, deactivating fonts, then also, finding folders /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS4/MediaCore---> which was empty and had nothing to erase or do anything with http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/973961 ...Still nothing.
this is the error.

My computer is a brand new mac book pro. Tip Top of the line. Not sure what other details i should give.

What exact version of After Effects? Include the minor version number (e.g., After Effects CS5.5 with the 10.5.1 update). Do not just say "After Effects with the latest updates"; give the specific version number.

It has worked for about 4 or 5 days. It was even working when i was doing the same action prior to the last time it stopped working. I was uploading a file from my other computers file. Which i had done many times throughout the day. As i work on one computer and when i have to leave and bring my laptop with me i do so. Because i work on my computer all day long. Desktop or laptop.
Do you have QuickTime installed. (You should.) If so, what version? The answer should be specific, such as "QuickTime 7.6.2".

if that is the Double line play button then yes.
Are you using the ray-traced 3D renderer?
Not sure what that is.
If the problem is with output, give your exact output settings (both render setting and output module settings). Screenshots help.
What is the exact sequence of steps that you are taking?

How can I get a book to open that is downloaded on my Ipad 3, I have uninstalled, reinstalled. Held the turn off button and home button down to reboot, nothing has helped.

How can I get a book to open in my nook app, it downloaded, and installed, it just want open, I have never had this problem before.

This is entirely my complaint.
I have to sit without useable internet for 5 days when there is no fault, before anyone does anything about it ? BT visit the village to do something for another customer, mess up my perfectly working broadband, and then refuse to do anything about it for 5 days. And I pay full price during that time. Let's just hope they don't come back to do something else within those 5 days !!!
There isn't a fault with the line, it is perfectly stable. I just need somebody to use common sense and set the IP profile back to what it was.
If the system is so clever, it could at least try moving off 135k to 512k say after an hour or so.
I will try using that link though and see if somebody can do something !!
Frustrated is not the word ! If I ran my business like this I'd have no customers left. I'm pretty sure that's not the first time somebody has posted that on here

Ibooks wont open my book

I bought a book on ibooks and it wont open.
I had no problem reading it a few days ago, but ever since it prompted me to enter my icloud username and password, it doesnt work anymore. VERY ANNOYING. I should have just bought it on amazon and used the kindle app.
I tried deleting and redownloading it, but it keeps asking for my icloud password over and over again.
Please help!

Go to the main Library folder and look for a folder called Application Support / Microsoft.
There are a few folders in there, and you may have to do some digging. In one of them (mine is called MAU2.0), there should be a file called Microsoft Autoupdate. Open it.
It looks like this:
check the button for manual updates.
That should let you open the apps without triggering an automatic update.

You can indeed store books on your computer, but you cannot read them there
