I already ordered it from apple and it's on its way. Would i be able to purchase it from a retail store and just return the unopened copy that i am going to receive from apple back to the retailer?

You can buy from an Apple store, which has a 14 day return policy.
You can buy on-line from Apple and get a new or refurb model (less $), and get engraving if you want it.
Some retail stores have a more generous return (30 days?) policy.
You can buy from an on-line Apple Authorized Reseller. I bought (with free shipping) mine from MacMall because I didn't have to pay sales tax. I paid with my American Express CC to get, for free, an additional 1 year warranty.
Regardless of where you buy you still get the 30 day Apple Care and 1 year warranty. You can extend, for $, the Apple Care for 2 years. Or you can buy, for $, Apple Care +, which provides accidential damage repair insurance. There's also some 3rd party sources to buy the accidential insurance.
Some retail stores and on-line stores offer a small discount or add a bonus item.
It's your choice. Find the best deal.

Cannot add songs bought from ITunes store on my IPad. The reason given is to Run the ITunes in to remove ITune which I do not want to do

You don't have any choice but to restore your phone. If the phone is still working, be sure to back up your contacts first. Since iTunes can't read your phone you can download the app My Contacts Backup, which will back up your contacts as an email attachment. Send this email to yourself; you can later open it on your phone and tap the attachment to re-import your contacts if necessary. When done, click on Restore (on the Summary tab) and let iTunes do its thing. Be careful to watch the progress information at the top of iTunes as well as your iPhone screen so that you do not interrupt the restore process until it is completes.

You may want to consider deleting and redownloading the affected songs from the iTunes Store.

I am able to download all the album I bought from itune store. The album contains 13 songs but 4 of them would not load up into my ipod. How can I fix that?

How to return apps bought from app store?

As you all may have heard, you can now return apps and songs bought from App store and iTunes within 2 weeks. (News story)
My question is, does anyone know how to do this regarding apps bought from App store? I can't find any option.

However note the Terms and Conditions:
Right of cancellation: If you choose to cancel your order, you may do so within 14 days from when you received your receipt without giving any reason, except iTunes Gifts which cannot be refunded once you have redeemed the code.

ITunes cannot transfer movies bought from the Store onto the iPad.

I have an iPad Mini and iTunes cannot transfer movies bought from the Store onto the iPad.
'Manually manage videos' is ticked but then after each sync attempt it goes back to being unticked.
'Sync only checked songs and videos' is also ticked and remains so.
When I choose the movies to put on the iPad, it gives me an indication of how much space I have (enough), lets me sync and then goes back to zero.

FYI, I searched the side pane here after asking this question. It seems someone gave an answer that worked for me. I could not drag and drop a pdf from the desktop into iTunes or the Ipad2 directly for whatever reason. However in iTunes on the main menu under Files>Add, I could navigate to the desktop and add the pdf that way, then sync Books with the iPad. This worked!
I've attempted in the past to drag and drop videos, etc into iTunes and the iPad with no success. Somehow it never occurred to me to add them this way. Doh!

Will you be able to buy unlocked iPhone 5s from retail stores in Canada on the 21st?

This might be the wrong section, but it seems to be the closest fit for my question?
Anyways, I am planning on buying the iPhone 5 on the 21st in Canada. My plan is to go around 3:30 in the morning(last year I went at 5:30 and was something like 200th in line! and then buy two unlocked iPhones, one for me and one for a friend. I went to the Yorkdale Apple Store in Toronto, Ontario today and they said that they are not really sure, but are probably only selling on-contract phones in store on the launch day. I then however called the Eaton Center Apple Store also in Toronto and was told that they are 100% selling unlocked iPhone 5s from the begining in Canada. I then did the online chat and was told the same thing. So I called Yorkdale back and they still say that they aren't sure but from what they have been told so far it looks like they will only be selling locked phones, and that they will not fully know until the day of, which really is a bit rediculous.
I was hoping that someone knew whether iPhone 5s would be sold unlocked in Canada at Apple Retail Stores.

Apple has not yet made clear the status of the iPhone 6 models they will be selling enough to risk buying and in any case the warranty is NOT nternational
you will have no warranty on a US purchased iPhone
Contract free and unlocked are not the same in US
depends on how much you want to risk your money
You would need the A1586 very unlikely to be available in US in an unlocked status

When I purchased my iPad, I learned that I have employee dicusount with Apple products, Since I purchased iPad from applie site I was able to automatically apply that credit to my purchase.
I recenlty purchased iPhone5 from ATT store front. (Have not arrived yet.) - How can I clam my employee dicount for this purchase. I think it was $10.00 discount for my iPad.

You cannot carry the money from one country account to another. But content you have downloaded to your device remains on the device, updating things like apps will require that you return to the country store where the download originated.
The stores operate as separate entities, but content you have does not leave or get deleted.

How Do I Retrieve Stuff I Bought From ITunes Store?

My computer recently erased all of it's data! Well for music and movies I did not buy from ITunes I had them backed up in my external drive. But as for all of the stuff I did buy from ITunes, They were not backed up! Now I'm wondering how I can get all the stuff I bought from Itunes back. Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. It's your responsibility to make backup copies (as iTunes itself advises) in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod (or other i-device), you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod/iPhone/iPad, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". Then you'll see a button that says "Email Us") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.

Itunes sound stops working after 20 mins on videos bought from iTunes store.

On every video i've bought from the iTunes store the sound cuts out after approx 20 mins. I'm on windows 8.0 (completely up-to-date with all drivers up-to-date too) with the latest iTunes (11.1.3.8) and Quicktime (with enhancements switched off). PC is a quad core i7 with 16GB of memory with windows running on an SSD and my iTunes content on another internal HD (not an SSD). iTunes library is approx 24000 songs and 30 videos. i'm watching on a full HD monitor with external speakers and the PC is authorised to play iTunes content.
I've worked my way through all the iTunes support items around video chopping (which was happening too - now fixed) and audio issues but nothing helps e.g. I've switched off iTunes match and home sharing, switched off any audio enhancements in iTunes and my sound card (which is a Via chipset on my motherboard), switched the bit rate to 16 bit/44.1k on windows and itunes, uninstalled and re-installed iTunes etc, etc.
I did have an Apple TV on my network but I've disconnected it in case the sound was being routed to it after a period of time. This hasn't made any difference.
Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it?

Myself as well, have been having this same problem, around 20 minutes into any movie I open up in my itunes library, the sound stops playing. I have yet to find any fix for the problem, although I have a thought that it is probably something to do with the buffering. My songs play just fine, all day long, but any movie only plays for 20 minutes and then the sound goes out. Additionally, I had another issue that kept popping up an error message everytime I tried to open Itunes, this was finally fixed via copy paste a corruptted (spelling) .dll file. The only "workaround" for this issue, that I have found, is to open the movie in QuickTime, even though I am not really excited about the QuickTime player. If anyone finds a better solution, please drop a line. thank you in advance.

Help with downloading software I bought from a store.

I have bought Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition from a retail store. It came as a software download card. I submitted my student verification and it was accepted. I now have my new serial number. How do I actually download my software?? It says I have registered it but I don't know how to get it.
