Bought InDesign CS4 for Mac and now need to move it to a PC. Help!

Most Adobe software is written for one of two platforms, Mac or PC. In order to switch platforms you need to be using the most current version, so CS4 would not be supported for making this switch. Here is a link to a page that explains the requirements for switching platforms....

There is no such Trojan or other malware known today that will do that using OS X nor has there ever been one. The most probable explanation is that somebody hacked into your e-mail account on the server, so you should change that password to something stronger right away. If it had come from your Mac then there would almost certainly be copies of those messages in your Sent Mail mailbox.

Log in as the user who wishes to have a login item or as an admin user.
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
Choose Accounts from the View menu.
Click the name of the user.
Mac OS X 10.3.x: Click the Startup Items button.
Mac OS X 10.4 or later: Click the Login Items button.
Click the "Add {+}" button.
The item you selected will automatically open the next time you log in.

Hello everyone.
I'd like to purchase adobe indesign CS4 for my macbook OSX 10.4.11.
I've looked for it online and can only find a company called soft-applications.com selling it for 70 dollars.
I suspect its a scam. Does anyone know about this company?
Could you help suggest legit sellers of this product.

I've not heard of them, but most of the super deals for software like that are scams. They're usually beta software or hacked versions. Let the buyer beware!

If you do have password setup on your computer & you get a window asking for one for an app, leave the entry blank and click the OK button or whatever button it has.

CS4 for Mac AND PC?

Hi All!
I hope someone can help.
My other half has CS3 on the Mac but it's disintegrating because he discovered (after buying it new legitimately) that it was already registered to someone else! He's contacted Adobe about this in the past but they haven't done anything to help.After trying to uninstall and reinstall (Adobe advised this) , which resulted in more grief , he's decided to buy CS4.
Right - here's where we need advice.
He's doing an honours degree in Wildlife Photography so will get a student version.
However - he needs a version that he can use on both the PC and Mac - is this possible?
Also - does this count as 2 of the allowed installations - if so it's a bit blooming mean isn't it?
He needs both running in order to speed image work up things up like stacking etc. - whilst waiting for one to complete he can work on the other pooter. He also has a Mac lap top that will need CS4 installing on it for when he's at college.
Anyone know if he'll have to buy 2 different versions - one for Mac/one for PC ? I really hope not as this will be very very unfair considering it's for the same person.

Adobe still doesn't offer dual platform licensing. But that wouldn't help you anyway with a student version. This is the cheapest version available and only allows one activation on one machine for one user.
All other versions allow two activations as long as they aren't used at the same time and only one person is using them.

Indesign CC for Mac and PC are not the same?

I have creative cloud on a Mac and a PC. I cannot open the Mac Indesign files on the PC and it's frustrating. The whole point of getting Adobe CC was to be able to work on both platforms. The Mac version of Indesign is showing as 9.2.1 and the PC version is showing as 8.0.2. If you're never going to get the PC version the same, how can I revert the Mac back down to 8.0.2 so the files will be interchangeable?

I just saw where CC is only available for Windows 7 and higher and I am NOT upgrading XP so CS6 is all I can have on the PC. I'm downloading CS6 for the Mac now, so from now on my files should work on both.

I automatically updated to Firefox 4.0.1 for Mac, and now the program misbehaves. It hangs when I try to quit. Can I downgrade to 4.0?

I was running 4.0 on my Intel Mac (Leopard 10.5.8), and everything was fine. Firefox automatically updated me to 4.0.1. Then I noticed my computer running very slowly. I am unable to quite Firefox without forcing a quit.
Can I reinstall 4.0? If so, where can I download the original version?

Your users agent is stuck at Firefox 3.0.11 due to a extension during when you had 3.0.11 and it tacked on stuff on end and kept it from updating the version number. This was due to the "Fast Browser Search toolbar" extension (FBSMTWB). This issue is not a problem with Firefox 4.0 and newer.

It will ask for your serial number. You have a maximum of two activations, deactivate and uninstall off the old Mac when ready.

I installed the 30 day trial of CC and now need to move to another computer.

I installed on a computer I was going to buy. Now I've decided to return it and get a different model. I would still like to continue the 30day trial.

I will go out on a limb and say "yes"... the trial is assigned to the machine, not your account (that's how licensed version go). If you have a trial and do not have a subscription that you paid for then your trial is not activated as far as I know, it is just enabled for the trial.

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does npot appear to be supported.
