This is not the retailers fault and they will not return iTunes cards that have had the code area scratched there for apple needs to credit and or activated the cards there is thousands of people having this problem please bite the bullet and fix it already I will not be using iTunes until this is corrected...

When we purchase from iTunes the balance is not coming off of the gift cards. We have family sharing on but when my kids purchase songs they are credited to our credit card and not the gift card that is already in their account. What's wrong?

I downloaded songs from iTunes to my iPhone, after I synced to iTunes most of the bought songs are greyed out on both. What can I do to get these songs back?
are you absolutely positive they were ringtones? check your music app to see if they are in there. If they are, you downloaded songs and not ring tones.

trying to active my old iPhone 3gs. it showing that activation server is temporary unavailable and on the iTunes showing that there is no sim card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate. I unlocked my phone then i upgrade it, after that this happen. i tried with other sim same message come again and again.if any body know solution let me know. thanks
Was the SIM card activated on another phone? I assume this is an ATT style trying to use on T-Mobile? Was the SIM installed correctly? Is the carrier (like T-Mobile) operating IOS 6 devices yet?
If the SIM is a valid SIM from say T-Mobile, you may want to contact them for assistance activating the SIM card.
Activation and SIM issues typically point to the carrier. And if this was a CDMA phone say working with verizon, it will NOT work for ATT or T-Mobile as they use different electronics on the 3GS. The SIM slot is for international use only. -
I have bought itunes songs on an ipad with my daughter apple id. i would like to back them up on the same computer I sync my iphone with using my apple id but they will not transfer. Both iphone and ipad have only been synced on the computer mentioned since they were purchased. Is there any way to get the ipad music transferred to the computer?
And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :

Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? -
I can't update anything because I don't have a card number I took my card off because you guys took money out of my account and now it's pending something won't tell me what it is but I would like to know what's going on and why money is being taken out of my account when I haven't bought anything in a month ..

Have you checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

I Just bought an iTunes card from the store and I went to go buy a game and it's saying my purchase can not be made please go to iTunes support. But this keeps happening and I can only download free apps no apps that cost money and I did looked it up on google and they say to make sure there is no restrictions And I did and it's still doing it. In australia i bought my iphone 4 (4.3.3) from a guy who had it given to him with his vodaphone post-paid plan as an upgrade, but sold it to me brand new in box. I called vodaphone to unlock it, but they said just put my sim in and it would work fine (because they needed a vodaphone number to unlock it, but they unlock iphones for free anyway so it wouldnt of actually been locked) so i put in an optus sim and everything was perfect. I bought an o2 sim when i arrived to england last week, but it is not working. it says no service when i put in my o2 sim card, and that it is not supported when i plug it into itunes to activiate. what do i do??
Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.

Sorry, but there's nothing you can do. iTunes Cards are valid only in the country of purchase. So you cannot use that card in the Swiss iTunes Store. Sell or give the card to someone back in Spain.

Activation issues are almost always the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. If that is the case, no support can be provided here. -

This problems is ONLY on the iPhone 5It might take a while (30 minutes or more) for the initial sync to finish.

I recently purchased a song from itunes and when the song downloaded, it deleted/removed my entire song library. Only leaving the one song.
My photos and aps are still there, but no songs. Anyone ever encounter this and how do you fix it? I don't want to loose my songs as some are not in MY itunes library. HelpIf the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.
