After update to 5.7.1 I get a message that my "Develop module is disabled." It asks me to please renew my membership. When I open Creative cloud I don't get an option to enter my existing serial number and am told my 30 day trial has expired. What can I do?
You downloaded the creative cloud update by mistake. It will be necessary for you to uninstall Lightroom and then install using a download from this website:
Product updates
This will not do anything to your catalog for your images. So after you install the appropriate version you should be able to start right where you left off.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck. -
Since I have udated my iPhone to 5.0.1. I can not chance or delete any of my contacts! The choice "change" has disapeared! Is there someone to have an idea what is going on?
Try Settings>iCloud>Contacts>ON it may resolve your problem and enable the + / edit.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you have no service on the iPhone. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There is one step you did not mention trying that i think is worth trying.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.

I have an ibooks file that when I make a change to a page in one chapter it adds additional pages at the end of the chapter from another chapter. Any ideas what is going on and how I can fix this?
Text pages? from what you say you are getting the auto flow function to add pages either because you have flowing text or because you have a lot of blank lines as you would if you tap return to move blank space around.

Having transferred my iTunes library from my old PC to my new Mac. Many of the albums will not play because they are not authorized. Authorization lists very old email addresses of which I do not have the passwords or, in fact, access to the email websites. Can anyone whelp me with a way to get around this?
Yes, I believe I did with no success playing some of my "old albums." The remaing albums worked just fine.
I think I found a workaround by signing in to the old website using "forgot" password and changed it to a new one. Then I signed in using my Apple ID and Passwird. This seems to have worked. -

After doing the recent Apple TV update I keep getting a message asking if I want to hide the last application I was using on Apple TV. I understand how to go into the menu and select Hide or Show. Can anyone help me understand why the Develop module on my 2nd laptop is disabled and asking me to renew membership to reactive. I have a standalone LR5 which I purchased in December 2014 on the Windows platform. My 2nd laptop is in a different location to my home laptop and is in my holiday home where I would like to work on my photos when I am away from home.
thanks for replying. I purchased online from Adobe and they sent a confirmation email with order number and serial no along with the instructions for downloading. There was no indication at purchase that renewing membership was needed at any time and it's only 3 months since purchase. I have just returned home from my holiday home and checked my home laptop (primary and first installation) and all modules still enabled !! As far as I understand I am able to install twice as long as not operating both at once. This would be impossible as holiday home with laptop no 2 is 60 miles away. When I installed on no 2, i opened the order email and was able to use the serial no again. Now however it is greyed out. I don't want the cloud version and hope this is not what I have.
UPDATE 1 April 2015- I have checked the system info in Lightroom on my first laptop installation (home) and it is definitely a perpetual licence. I downloaded what I thought was my 2nd allowed download on my holiday home laptop using the original email instructions and serial number. I checked the system info on this download and it was it is a cloud version!!!! This doesn't make sense - anyone out there - can I download to 2 laptops in 2 different locations with a perpetual licence?? -

I'm having problems on the Lightroom CC App,as it seem's that when I open the Develop heading at the top of the screen,there is message that comes,which says this section is disabled and I need to renew my membership.My membership is up to date regarding payments etc.I use the student/ teacher version of the CC as I'm a student.Can anybody please advise what the problems seem's to be and what can i do to access the develop and other facilities on Lightroom?

Ps Is this a common problem on the Student/teaching version of CC?This is an indication that Lightroom is not connected to your subscription. Verify that your are logged into the Creative Cloud desktop app, or try logging out and back in again to refresh your subscription information: Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app.
Also, verify that your student subscription is still current and active. -

i've only had my iPod 3rd generation nano for a little bit, but there's already problems!
first of all, the touch screen thing, I can use it in the sense that I can change the volume... so I guess the 'touch' part of it is working. But whenever I try to click it, as in to move to a different song, it won't work.
Can anyone help me?well, each corner of the ring (top, bottom, left, right) has a button on it. If you want to use these buttons, you must actually press down on the wheel, not just touch it. there should be a faint click when you push down and that corner of the wheel will actually depress slightly into the surface of the iPod.
the top corner is "MENU" (go back to the last list of options you were at), the bottom is "> ❙❙" (play/pause whatever is currently playing), the left is "⎮<<" (skip to the song that was just played), the right is ">>⎮" (skip to the song that will play next), and the button in the middle of the ring is called the center button (when you press this, whatever is selected will be activated. i.e. if Shuffle Songs was selected, a push of the center button will start shuffling.)
the click wheel also serves as a way to scroll through lists. if you move your finger gently and smoothly along the ring (you don't have to push hard at all) in a circular formation to scrool. moving around the circle clockwise (to the right) scrools down the list to the next menu item, and pushing the center button chooses that item. -
W540 - System hangs, and have no idea what is going on...
Any heavy load on the W540 seems to hang the system with NO indication that the system is still working.
As a sample, in editing PDF, doing large dabase analysis or statistical work, the system does not respond in the window doing the work, sample view, and this was for a book of only 1000+ pages.
I can work in other windows, but my active tasks shows nothing is happening. If I leave the system alone, it may unlock after a period of time.
Similarly when I back up the system to the network, I have no idea when the task is complete. The W540 just sits there with the sign on screen. I need to periodically log on to see how much task remains to be done.
When I connect a USB 3 drive for the back up, I can see the light on the drive letting me know when working and when finished.
Any workaround for this black box with no indicators? Maybe an audio 'bong' or ring when unlocked, or finished?

Ok, so I downloaded soulseekqt a few days ago because I was after this song I couldn't find anywhere else, and recently some weird stuff has happened on my macbook, and I think it may have something to do with this program or something I downloaded off it.
In the download dock, when I click on a folder that's recently downloaded it opens up Microsoft Outlook or Powerpoint, or Textwrangler instead of the actual folder I click on. I can only access the folder if I browse manually through finder. Then I restarted the computer today and I suddenly can't open up iPhoto or Textedit - there's a barrier icon in front of it and I get a "You can't open the application "_____" because it is not supported on this type of mac".

First of all, I would recommend you to do a SMC reset > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Battery issues are sometimes fixed by doing that, so it is worth trying it.
However, the X icon in the battery bar means that OS X does not detect any battery inside your Mac, so when you unplug it from the charger it automatically turns off. If the SMC reset does not solve anything, I would recommend you to take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller because there's probably a hardware issue. -
