Bought my 4s in the UK but can't use it with a dutch SIM

My UK bought 4s (Carrier Orange) seems to have a kind of country lock. I want to use it in the Netherlands with a dutch T-Mobile Sim but it doesnt appear to work.
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?

Did you purchase the phone from Orange in the first place? If so, then the phone will be locked to Orange and if this is the case, then you'll need to go to Orange and get them to unlock the phone for you.
Actually, if your carrier is Orange anyway and regardless of where you purchased your phone, you'll probably need to contact Orange to see what the state of play is and the reason you can't use a Dutch sim card in your phone. Your carrier is the only one who could solve this for you, especially if your phone is locked in any way.

Sorry, you can't. FaceTime has been permanently removed from your phone. There is no way to add it back.

No you won't necessarily lose your photos when upgrading but it's very very unwise not to back up first. Backing up is like using a seat belt in a car. You can drive without one for years and have no issues, but if you do have a problem the outcome will be a lot worse. So, too, with back ups. And upgrading is one of those times when the risks of a problem are higher.
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

If you got someone else email than that's a BIG error and it has nothing to do with whatever client you are using. You send your credentials to gmail and they connected to another account, not even Google would like to do that.
Either you send the wrong credentials and then you happend to have the same password as this other account. Try using webmail on that account.
Change your password!!! If you can access that account he/she can access yours.

I don't see any reason why not. When connected to the computer it's just a storage device, any music in iTunes on your computer should sync to the iPod where-ever it was purchased. They're not configured to be region specific.

Same problem for me. So bad in fact that I can't really use my headphones for calls. I have tried it with several sets of headphones. My primary are the Bang and Olufsen headphones which were great with the previous iphone 4 and 3.

Yes you can, and it's then up to you whether to have the same the same or different content to the older one. When you sync to it your computer for the first time it may be best to give it a different name, just so that you can distinguish them.

Was reading the read me file and correct me if I am wrong but do I have to up grade to CS3 to be able to use the raw converter in lightroom????? Cash flow is tight and was hoping to not spend that $ just yet.

I don't quite understand why anyone thought this would be a problem. When you edit in Photoshop from Lightroom it makes a PSD (or tiff, or whatever) before turning it over to Photoshop anyway. The Lightroom adjustments would be a part of the PSD file that gets handed to Photoshop. The issue was with ACR, or other RAW converter reading the Lightroom adjustments, not with Photoshop reading them. Photoshop itself doesn't read any RAW adjustments, ACR is a plug-in that hands off a converted image and Lightroom is an alternative to that process. Once it gets handed to PS it is no longer RAW, no matter what converter you used to get it there.
