Bought off Ebay: Item Not Received but Tracking Number shows delivered

Hi,
  We bought a new Chromebook on Ebay from BestBuy. This was our first time buying from BestBuy online, but we have bought from within the stores on several occasions.
  Either way, this time around our buying experience has been more of a hassle than the savings that we thought we were getting. This is due in part to the failure for BestBuy to respond to our e-mails on Ebay & the fact that when we called the BestBuy store but we were told that they do not handle issues for the Ebay purchases. Makes no sense.
  Anyhow, here are the details of our situation:
   We purchased an Asus Chromebook (Ebay auction number {removed per forum guidelines}). 
   The tracking number ({removed per forum guidelines}) shows that it was delivered on July 21. 
   However, it's impossible that a package was delivered to our house on July 21, since someone was home all day. There was no doorbell rung. No delivery driver or truck that was seen nor heard. And no package anywhere on our property. 
   Either way, UPS has been notorious for leaving other people's packages at our door. Trust me, we just had our neighbor's package thrown onto our doorstep this Monday...again!
  Therefore, we figured that maybe the UPS driver dropped our package off at someone else's house. So, we have knocked on several doors in our neighborhood to see if we could track down our package. This alone is a supreme hassle, since at each house, you have to keep going back & see if they contacted each of the member of their households to see if they saw/picked up a package.
  Anyhow, at first, we just wanted a refund, since we went out & picked up a new tablet this weekend. 
  However, BestBuy asked us if we would like a replacement sent. We finally agreed since we just wanted to resolve this issue...but then BestBuy never contacted us back & we are in the dark as to what is going on.
  Anyhow, this is now our last attempt at trying to contact someone at BestBuy that knows what is going on. If we don't get this resolved to our liking by Friday, then we will just be contacting our bank & allowing them to deal it out with BestBuy.
 As for right now, BestBuy has is very rapidly losing our interest in dealing with them again over this issue.

I get very excited after having placed an order and cannot wait for it to arrive in my hands, so I understand your aggravation at having UPS show the package as delivered and it not be so, having to canvass the neighborhood in search of it, and eventually come up empty handed anyway. I sincerely apologize for this having been your experience. Certainly this was never our goal.

    My girlfriend still has not received her tracking number. She pre-ordered the white 3GS last week. I pre-ordered mine at almost the exact time she did, yet I have a tracking # and she doesn't. Could it be possible that both of our orders were combined into the same package since they are getting shipped to the same address?

    Mine was the same way until about 20 minutes ago. They sent me the email with the tracking information. They'll get to you. I ordered mine at 6/9/09 at 4:45pm CST if that gives you a time reference.

    Creative cloud do not need a serial number. it will be using your Adobe ID on which you have purchased the creative cloud membership.
    So you need to login with your Adobe ID and password to activate the cloud membership. I mam unable to find any CC order placed under your Adobe Email provided here.
    Log out & log back in of the CC Desktop App.
    In case it is not signing in successfully please try the following:
    I don't know which operating system you are working on so i am giving you some steps windows and MAC OS:
       Windows:
       In windows 7 navigate to following location:
         /windows/system32/drivers/etc
       1. look out for "Hosts" file
       2. Open it with notepad
       3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
       4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
       Mac:
       1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
       2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
       3. Remove the entries and save the file
       4.  try again launching any product from CC

  • PO not received but billed and then billed po line cancelled

    Dear All,
    I came up with one scenario where user has cancelled a po line which was not received but fully billed. This PO was having only one line.
    This po was autocreated from purchase requisition. Now user wants to add again same line from PR. but this PR is not available in autocreate pool.
    He thought might be PO line was billed so PR is not available in the autocreate pool so he cancelled the invoice created against that PO line. But still PR is not available in autocreate pool and PR shows same PO number associated with it.
    Now question is in this scenario how same PR line can be added in the same PO? and
    How to deal in this scenario when po has only one line and was fully billed without any receiving and it got cancelled then how we can bring PR in autocreate pool?
    Appreciate your answers and advices.....

    Thanks for the response and apologies for delay in reply.
    It is confirmed that PO line is cancelled.
    There are two question now one is how come system is allowing to cancel a PO line which is matched and billed?
    second is if PO line is cancelled why related PR is not available in autocreate pool?
    We did not checked the check box cancel pr at the time of PO line cancellation.
    Appreciate your suggestions, solutions and comments....

    there is no serial number used with a cc subscription.  you use your adobe id.
    go here, Adobe: Creative, marketing, and document management solutions
    sign in with the same adobe id used to subscribe.  start the download of one of your programs.
    that will install the cc desktop app which is used to manage your cc apps,

    Purchasing department for one of my
    clients added a product managed by serial numbers instead of by batches
    in error. Product was received incorrectly, and no serial number was
    entered. Now they cannot create a transaction to get this product off
    the inventory (credit memo).it is asking for the S# but the item was receive without
    serial number.\
    I dont know how they were able to enter the AP invoice without entering a serial number, but looks like they did and now they cannot take it out from the inventory.

    Is the item managed by serial numbers "On release" or on "Every Transaction". If it is on release only, it would not need a serial number to be received, just issued.
    If this is the case, it can be issued with a dummy number to get it out of stock, then the correction can be made & it can be brough back in correctly.

    you don't get or use a serial number with cc.  you sign in to your cc desktop app with your adobe id.

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download  install  activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    As confirmed by you Muse is asking for serial number on launch. Most of the time this happens because of Hosts file on the machine.
    Please go ahead and rename the hosts file on your machine and you should be all set. here are the steps for both MAC and Windows.
    Windows:
    1. Go to following location.  C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
    2. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
    3 Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.
    MAC:
    1.  Go to Finder > Go > Go to Folder
    2. Type /etc and hit Return
    3. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
    4. Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.

    For Creative cloud applications to work you dont need a serial number . CC works on the basis of your Adobe Id & Password so in our case right now I would request you to kindly launch the product and wait for the trial message to come up . Once you have the trial message up , kindly click on Licensing This software and then use your Adobe id & Password that we have used to purchase the creative cloud .
