Bought Premium through itunes but it isn't working

I bought Spotify Premium through iTunes yesterday and it's not working. When I check the app it still says my subscription is free. I know I payed for it because it took money out of my iTunes credit (I used a gift card). Under my subscriptions it also says I have a subscription that started the 27th of July and a renewal will begin the 27th of August. Any ideas as to why it's not working?(I tried logging in and out of the app multiple times, and I've reinstalled it as well, but nothing is working.) Thank you!

Please check your subscription page. Be sure your status says you have an active Spotify Premium subscription.
If you're on Premium, do a quick sign out/sign in. 
If your subscription page says Free, please check your Spotify email receipt.
Be sure you are signing in with the username on that receipt.
If the username on your receipt is a 10 digit number, please sign in with your Facebook credentials.
