Bought same app twice!

I accidently bought the same app twice for my iphone!
Not on the same itunes account, but on different ones!
I was trying to find out which one I installed it on but couldn't find out!
Is it possible I can get a refund?!
It was a 25 dollar app!
I didn't mean to buy it!!!

One is signed up with my sisters paypal
Another is for my dad to use.
The app was already on my Dads account which I made for him.
But I accidently bought it on my other account with is connected to my sister Paypal

    Likelyhood is, if they are convinced it was an accident they will refund.   But its not something you can rely on.

    I recently installed my 5.1 beta 3 on my iPhone 4 and it wiped out everything on my phone.  I didn't have any recent backups so I didn't back up my phone, I set it up as a "new iPhone".  Am I going to be charged again for the apps I download if I use the same iTunes/Apple ID?  Normally, it says something along the lines of 'this update is free because you previously downloaded this app..", but this time it did not.   I'm downloaded a $50 app, so this has me worried.

    Yeah, too bad the app won't let you switch between locations.  I don't think you can have 2 instances of the app running on the BB.  I'm not developer, but I've never seen that before.

    hi.....thanks for the help. I was wondering if there is anyway to install the same app twice on the same iphone. The app happens to be loseit.com which essentially is a calorie counter and I wanted the app twice...one for me and one for my wife. When you go to the app store it says already installed and wondered if there is a way to get around this to get it twice on my iphone. Thanks again.

    As Tamra said, you can't have two of the same app on your iPhone. Perhaps LoseIt will allow you to use multiple accounts/users in the same app?

    Developers do not handle refunds. The purchase activity is between the user/customer and Apple.
    To report an issue with a purchase, follow these steps:
    • Open iTunes. If you are already signed in, skip to step 4.

    • Choose Store > View My Account
    • Click the Purchase History button

    of course I am logged in with the same id of me on both my devices. and when I go to app store, and then purchased apps, I only am able to see the other applications but not the one that I bought some hours ago. This happening now for the second time with me. the first time I bought one app using my iphone and then couldn't find it through ipad, and now it is the same reversely.
    Normally it shouldn'tbe like this! but i dont know what is going wrong.

    I had attempted to purchase myExplorer app from the utilities section of the Ovi store.
    After pressing the buy button and confirming it to be payed through my phone bill it states an error with the transaction had occured and ovi store had acted as if I had NOT bought the app, so I assumed that the transaction failed and pressed the buy button again and confirmed it, it suceeded the 2nd time however.
    I lost $8 of credit on this purchase. I was wondering if I could get a refund for one of the two payments, because I did not intend to purchase it TWICE!

    Complain to your wireless company?  I've been trying to get Nokia to refund me since February.  They keep sending me assurances in unidiomatic English  -- and phoning me! -- to tell me that they surely will after some long period of time refund the money.  But the time has passed and they still haven't done it.  
    I predict that if your wireless company won't refund you, you're out AUD4.00.  Sorry.
    If I won a lottery of phones for life, and they were Nokia phones, I would turn them down.  Nokia has managed to turn something that was an irritant to me into a source of strong loathing.  I can only imagine that other customers are having the same experience, which is why Nokia is forced to join the mobile operating system of the month club in a desperate attempt to pretend they're going to compete in the future.

  • Bought new apps (twice) but no download

    First off, I updated to 7.6 and latest firmware version for my Touch. Then I purchased the new apps (twice) but nothing happened. It never showed up as downloading and clicking sync doesn't work either. I tried sync while set to Manual Manage and Auto Manage but still nothing. I assume the download never happened, servers too busy maybe? I reported the duplicate purchase as a problem but will I ever get to download?
    UPDATE: I went back and tried the SYNC again with Manual Manange unchecked. It gave me an error b/c all of my music won't fit on the 16GBs but it installed the update anyway.

    I had a similar problem.
    I purchased the touch software update via the iTunes store, it told me to just sync again and it would all be lovely. I noted that no download occurred which was worrying and therefore syncing did nothing. Thinking the purchse may have failed somewhere I tried again with the same problem, no new software synced to my touch.
    The update site was obviously having trouble as everytime i tried to connect by hitting the 'Check Updates' button on the iTunes touch info screen it errored with a nice -02 sort of error.
    I connected my touch about an hour later and magically a download started and subsequent software install. Seems it was the update site being down (probably from getting hammered) was the problem.
    The consequence of all this ofcourse is that I purchased the upgrade twice after thinking the first one had failed. I'm trying to work out how to get it sorted and to speak to someone as I don't have iTunes on my work computer.

    I have noticed I get billed on occasion for the same song or app twice.  My 12yo daughter has an iphone too, and the double billing comes from her device. doesn't itunes recognize that an account has alreay purchased something?

    Not if they keep clicking on the store to re-download. There are multiple verisons of the same songs on the store, so each one is considered different. To re-download properly, do this:

    I pre-ordered an album and then when the album became released, I tried to download it. It said the link had changed so I d/l it from iTunes shop.
    After this I tried checking if there were any other d/ls and it downloaded the SAME album again...
