Bought Serial Number...No Email Sent?

I just bought a serial number for iWork to update my trial version. I got the confirmation email, but I have yet to recieve the email that contains the actual serial number. I checked my spam and trash and nothing is there. It's been a little under 24 hours since I purchased this product. Do I just need to wait longer, or did my email somehow get lost and I should contact Apple? How long does it usually take to get the email with the serial number?

This is a different question, and deserves its own topic. There have been many identical queries to yours. You can search for them in the discussions. Basically, you don't need a number to use the disk version, but before installing it you must delete all traces of the trial version that either came with your computer or you downloaded. Look for Yvan Koenig's script to automate the erasure.

    I get my (regular) Lightroom serial numbers pretty quickly, less than an hour.
    I'm guessing that for a student edition, someone may have to check your bona fides. Have you considered calling an Adobe support line?
    Lighroom will run for a month on a trial basis without a serial number. Has your month expired?

    Unpack it and run the script to uninstall completely iWork components (it don't delete the documents which you created).
    It would also be a good idea to use a maintenance tool like the free Onyx to to clean the LaunchService databases.

  • Lost CS3 serial number and email I used from that purchase is no longer valid, now I cannot reinstall my CS5 after wiping my hard drive clean from a computer problem.

    Just bought Adobe Photoshop, teachers/student edition. I filled out the required information and they were supposed to email it to my .edu address. Hours later, and still no conformation serial number so I can install photoshop. Does it just take a while for them to process the request?     It should take up to two business days. So if you submitted on Friday, you could expect it on Tuesday. Or if if you submitted on a monday, the latest you could expect it is Wednesday.

    You do not need a serial number for any of the iWork apps you buy from the Mac App Store. This means that at some time you had the iWork ’09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

(they told me to do this) i can hear the disc turning but alls i get is blank screen then it shuts down, and restarts. nothing ever shows up on the screen. did i get a wrong disc? should there be something different than just the mac os x leopard 10.5 to get this computer to work again?? thanks for your help!

    It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    I know that there is a maximum number of emails that can be sent by workspaces that we can set in the admin panel.
    But I wanted to know, is it possible to actually get that count? So we know how many emails were sent in a day on a given workspace?

    Show preview column.
    Just wondering if it's the difference between Lion (I upgraded about two months ago) and earlier versions.

    did you purchase your product from these firms like Amazon? If yes, this is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
    The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.

    I installed Adobe Pro but I didn't receive a serial number on the email confirmation.  I tried looking at my account online and it wasn't provided there either.  I followed the trouble shooting steps but no help there either.

    was your original cs4 for a mac?

    Usually that kind of error is due to typos caused by easily mixed-up characters or "shift lock" locked and wrong capitalization; check for similar characters, like "1" and "I", or "l"; or "O" and "0". The safest way to enter the serial correctly is by copying it from the mail and pasting it directly into the password field.
