Bought slideshow songs but won't let me use them for that

I bought an album for use with power point presentations but itunes won't let me convert the files so I can use them for the exact purpose I purchased them. I don't want to do anything illegal...just use the songs for the correct purpose.

You'll have to burn a CD of the songs and then reimport them to use them in a program other than iTunes.

My fcpx 'sees' the movies in side window, but won't let me drag them into the timeline. Any idea why?

problem started when i moved my whole photo library to an external. FCPX wouldn't see it, so I moved it back- to the original spot/. And still fcpx wouldn't relink. So i started to 'rebuild' my movie and drag movie clips again into the timeline but it won't let me (tho it 'see's the clips when i click on 'camera' icon).
It allows me to drag in the original pics (jpegs) but not any of the movies ...arghhh pls help thx!!!!

What version are you using with 10.8.5? Why did you import video into iPhoto? What are the complete specs of the video files? Are they in formats that are compatible with FCP?

Apps installed but won't let me access them

i have installed a couple apps onto my computer that is a windows 8 computer and whenever I got to access them it will not let me access them. It takes me to the description page.

Bought Iphone! But don't want to use it for calling! How to activate it ???

just bought an Iphone but don't want use it for calling is there a way to activate it without having a contract with at&t or so! Why start a new thread on the same topic as before the answers will all be the same you have to activate the iPhone through iTunes and sign a contract with AT&T to activate the iPhone otherwise you wont be able to take pictures or listen to music or use other features, didn't you do any research on the iPhone before purchasing it??? Sounds like you need to return your iPhone where you bought it and just pay the restocking fee and call it good.

You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

My ipod touch downloads songs but won't let me select one

My Ipod touch will download songs. When I go to music to select a song all entries are grayed out and will not allow me to select one. What do I need to do to change this so the songs are available to be selected?

To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size. Thus you need abut 4.5 GB free storage space on the iPod which you do not have.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required.

HT201272 Some of my previous purchases aren't showing up on the iTunes store. It says "Purchased" but won't let me download them. Is there any way to fix this?

I've been making my iTunes music purchases on my iPhone for over a year now. I bought a new one so I relied on iCloud to keep my purchases on record. When downloading my songs, I saw that some of them were missing. When I logged into the iTunes store, it said that the albums (yes entire albums are missing) have been "PURCHASED", therefore I can't buy them again. And they don't have that iCloud icon on them to download them (since I have already purchased them). I checked my iTunes account on both my PC and my iPhone and still nothing. These aren't old purchases, but ones that I made a few months ago. Can anyone help me get my music back??

ITunes account balance $25 with iTunes card but won't let me use it...

Ok I got 25 bucks in my iTunes account, but when I try to download somthing with my phone it tries to charge it to my debit card which has nothing on it. How can I resolve this problem???

You had a purchase total of $25.95 but a credit of only $25.00, so the iTunes Store will try to put the extra $.95 on another form of payment before it can process the order. If the card fails, the Store will hold a "balance due". If you redeemed another prepaid card, the amount due would probably be taken out of the total. If you fix the problem with your debit card, the balance due will probably then be automatically billed to the debit card, though I'm not sure.
I don't know why the iTunes Store isn't accepting your Missouri access card, but it's apparent that it's not an iPhone problem. If nothing on this web page:

i have tried to go to a couple of websites, once on them it says sorry, you cannot use this site as Licencing Restrictions mean only people in the uk can use this site, we use a system to determine your geographic location. but i am in England, so i can't understand why i am having this problem.

Photos show in finder, but won't let me select them...

For some reason I can't access some of my photos - when the finder window opens and I click on Photos, I can see the thumbnail of the picture in iphoto but the file name/number is a light gray color instead of in black. (I did not delete photos). Any ideas?

What Finder window? Are these images in iPhoto?
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Student but won't let me use my student email

Thanks all, I'm a student at a university but my Spotify account is through my Facebook email which does not have the ".edu" on the end indicating that I'm a student.Is there a way to change this because I'd really like the student discount. Do you I have to get a new account? Because I don't want to lose all my music

As far as I am aware, the US student discount is verified using sheer ID details (name, college, etc) and not by the email address on your Spotify account. Therefore, you should be able to activate it without changing your Spotify details.

-spweb shows all sites but won't let me access them.

I'm trying to access a document library on a sub site but can't for some reason.
In powershell I enter "Get-SPWeb -Site https://sitename/site/"
It then shows me a list of all the sub sites to "site".

But if I type in "Get -SPWeb -Site https://sitename/site/a/" it gives me an error as if the site didn't exist.

That is because -Site switch is for the Site Collection from which you are asking it to get list of Webs. https://sitename/site/a/ is not a site collection
This should work.
$web = Get -SPWeb "https://sitename/site/a/"

Free music downloads, but won't let me get them

I have never tried to get any of the free downloads before tonight, and when I try, but clicking on Get Free Download , the window pops up for me to buy them, then another window telling me that they are not available for purchase!
How do you get the freebies?

I get them all the time without any problem. But, I think there is something wrong with the iTunes Store tonight. Normally, the freebies are free. Tonight, the store wants to charge for them. Wait until tomorrow and try again.
