Bought TV and Movie and have audio only NO VIDEO!!!
Why don't I have video? I have plenty of space. Just bought the new IPod 30GB for my niece for Christmas, and I wanted to put a few TV shows and a movie on it for her. I was able to download the TV shows and the movie, but got only audio. Don't know why I did not get video. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I figured it out. I had the TV setting as "ON" when it should be "OFF" in order to see the video.

Quicktime .MOV file plays audio only - no video
Okay, here goes...
I created a .MOV file from Avid via the H.264 codec. This file contains video and audio and was made on a Mac using Leopard. I played it back successfully on that machine.
I then copied it to a data DVD and put it on my XP PC with all OS software up to date. I have a freshly updated QT 7.6 install. The files will only play back audio on my PC - video appears black (if preferences are set to Direct X) or white (if preferences are set to safe mode). Video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO; driver is up to date.
Anybody have any insight into what I need to do to my PC to get this video to play?Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, it doesn't directly address the issue I am having (though it does show me the world of hurt out there when FCP and Avid bump up against each other in the same post process).
And the third-party page doesn't have any codecs for Avid.
Again, I am at a loss. I created the QT files from my Avid project on a Mac. The files played back properly on that Mac. They won't play back on my Windows machine, so I can only assume that there's something missing or different between the QT versions for Mac and Windows.
Since I can't figure out how to get these files to play properly on a PC and since my home machine is a PC, I guess I will not output footage from Avid to a .MOV file in the future. I will try to find a format that Windows Media Player likes, I guess.

I have a apple component AV TV out cable (red, green,blue + red,white) and have had this connected to TV for about 6 months working fine. I moved the TV disconnected cables to move now I can only get video and no sound back on TV. Any suggestions ?

i have an ipod classic and i have tried to put films on but every format i try it keeps saying thei format not supported i have tried mp4 and .mov and it will not take it anyone got any suggestions on what format to use and the best way to convert films
If these problem videos are already stored in your iTunes library, try using the iTunes built in convert to convert the file to an even friendlier iPod format. To use it, highlight the video in iTunes and choose Advanced -> Create iPod or iPhone version from the drop down menu. When the conversion process has completed, try syncing the new version over to your iPod Classic.

If your device has been jailbroken during the warranty, Apple will not service it.

I just bought a HD movie and cant put it on my iphone 3gs. Will the non HD movie work on my phone? If so can I exchange them?

Use your back up on your mac/PC and re-add your contacts to Address Book or whatever contact software you use. -
IMac quicktime movies [HD] play audio only on PC (video is green)
We have an iMac w/two 500 GB external drives for video storage and a 1 TB TimeCapsule. The iMac recently stopped running and failed to boot; after opening and reseating the memory, it is back up and running, but fails to recognize either external drive. In a panic, we copied all the quicktime movies (all our kids baby movies) from the TimeCapsule backups to a separate PC for backup.
On the PC, the movies play and we hear the audio, but the video is just green. The same movie plays fine on the iMac, even when playing from the PC hard drive.With some googlefu I have found the problem, which lies in the icod or Apple Intermediate Codec which was used to encode the movies when they were imported from my HD camcorder.
Unfortunately, Apple saw fit to use a proprietary codec on my personal files, limiting their use elsewhere, without any obvious notification before the files were removed from the source device to make space for new movies. Now I have 550 GB of quicktime movie files readable only with a Mac-based product. -
Where the **** is the downloaded movie? I already tried to download it a second time and the computer tells me it recognizes I already downloaded this movie, but I go to itunes and movies and it is not listed.
I've checked my downloads folder, the movie I rented is nowhere in my itunes library, but if I go to rent it again the store tells me I will be renting it a second time. *** apple? H.264 video should be supported by your basic Snow Leopard operating system. The DVCPRO HD family of codecs is part of the Apple "Pro" codecs package which is normally installed as part of a "Pro" video editing suite installer or contemporaneously installed separately as part of one of the newer pro editing apps like FCPX. if you already have one of these pro suites or apps installed or available, then re-install the correct codec package that is missing. If not, you will need to purchase a Pro suite or app to be able to install the required codec package. -
In itunes on my Ipad3 and looking in the purchased area, why can't I see all of the movies I have purchased. Only a few appear????
Not all film studios have so far agreed to make their films available for re-download, so their films won't show - also if a film is no longer available in the store then it won't appear

Some movie trailers here at Apple have audio only
I posted this on the G4 Mac PowerPC forum here and statistically speaking there are enough G4/G5 computers that posters are replying they experience a similiar problem in only hearing audio (not seeing video) with certain move trailers. Perhaps I should post this in a Safari forum here too if one exists.

p.s. I'm using 10.4.10 which isn't reflected in my info at link abovethe reason i supplied the link above to the G4 forum was to show that other users also couldn't see the video in Safari - while true other browsers [like Firefox] have no problem with it. One of my points is that even after updating Safari to the most recent beta version for G4 it still won't show video (only one can hear audio) - which in my opinion could be interpreted as unacceptable as the trailer is on the Apple Quicktime site yet users report they can't view the video with Safari but can with Firefox [the irony]. Apple should look into this if they are reading this thread [and find a fix] because a Safari user should be able to view the video of a trailer they [Apple] post on their own site without having to use a third party browser like Firefox.

Any way to disable the bluetooth handset and use enable streaming audio only?
I don't use bluetooth in my car to make or receive phone calls and only use it to stream Pandora. On my previous BBs I was able to disable the handset function and just use streaming audio, but I'm not finding any similar options on the Z10. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Right now I'm just powering off my stereo when I receive a call, but that is not a great solution. Thanks for any feedback.

The BlackBerry Z10 does not have the option to edit what services are allowed with a Bluetooth connection.
Depending on your vehicle, you may have to access your Bluetooth set up or settings within your car's dash to control what features are enabled with Bluetooth.
If you are unsure how to access these settings, contact your dealership or consult your owners manual.
