Bought ZenV+ Wondering about AC adap

Hi, I just bought a Zen V plus and it only came with a usb cable. I li've in australia but can pay for shipping necissary (sorry bout the spelling).
The main thing i want is an adaptor that has the australian plug (looks kinda like: / \ )
|
Does anyone know where I could find one? I have looked on creative's site and all I can find are american ones, european ones and no australian ones. I got $000 AUD so doesn't matter how much it costs! I have also looked on ebay to find no australian plugs! Any help?

I'd be curious to know about this, and am wondering whether it's even safe to try plugging in the Zen Micro adapter (it won't "fry" the Zen V like when you plug something into an international outlet, will it's)

  • TS1702 Hi, I bought The Truth About Love album on itunes as a complete my album from my Iphone4S.  I can see the name of the album as a purchase on my Mac Notebook 2004, however I am not unable to add the music to my itouch and is doesn't show up in music

    Hi,
I bought the Truth About Love/Pink's album on itunes as a complete my album purchase as I had bought a song from the album previously. I bought it via my Iphone 4S.  When I turn on itunes on my Mac Notebook 2004 (IOS X 10.4.11) I can see the album as a purchase but it is not listed in my library music nor can I add it to my Itouch 2nd generation.  Do you know why?  I can access the songs on my iphone but nowhere else.

They will only be on your computer's iTunes if you put them there. If you are in a country where you can re-download music then they should show under the Purchased Link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If they don't show there then you can connect your phone to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over.

I'm going to Spain and Italy in a week or so and wondered about taking my iPad 3. What do I need to do to be able to use it in those countries?

I took my iPad 2 to Italy a few years ago.  There was an abundance of free wifi everywhere so I didn't even need to buy a local sim.  If you want cellular data, there are many shops where you can purchase local sims (they usually need to see your gov't ID such as a passport ).
Using wifi I was able to FaceTime back to Canada from my hotel everyday with no issues.
    Enjoy your trip!

Ahhh, well  you never mentioned that before. You need to contact your friend from whom you purchased the computer. He/She should have any and all install discs for any third-party software included as well as for OS X and the original pre-installed software.
Apple will gladly sell you replacements for any discs that did come with the computer originally, but they will not do anything for you because you purchased the computer used. If it's in warranty still, then you can get any warranty covered things taken care of through AppleCare:

And maybe you don't talk to too many people but I've been on many forums on different websites where people have had similar problems and a lot of people in the store were having battery problems where they were draining too fast. What I learned is that all the people who did not download the updates are good. There phone is working the same. The people who have, they're having battery problems
I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.

Hi, I bought my laptop about one week ago. Sometimes it has weird and loud sound. It looks like fan sound. Is that normal? What should I do?

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you also have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

    Dear sir ,
i was wondering about the package summer sim . It forever or just for limited time if is limited what going on after two months ?
i'm glad to hearing from you .

For 2 months you get 100GB data free each month having topped £10 to buy the initial pack. Thereafter it becomes an ordinary PAYG SIM where you just make calls /texts against your credit or buy packs.

    Hi there WendyCollazo-
Neihn hit the nail on the head with this one, though he was a little off on the pricing for the Kaspersky for Android software, it actually runs about $29.99.  You can find it here on BestBuy.com.

  • I was wondering about download times

i am about to get NOVA II on my imac, and the file is about 597 MB. my internet speed is about 1 mps, i did some math earlier, and i got like 9 and a half minutes. BUT i got a movie off of itunes a while ago, that was around 1.1Gb and that took 3-4 hours to download i have also bought TV episode off of itunes (around 200-250Mb) and they take usually an hour though those speeds were from 7months to a year ago, and i did some math according to that speed and i got around two hours. and i recently downloaded LIMBO (aboout 76MB) which took about15- 20 minutes, so i was wondering 9 minutes or two hours or omewhere in between?

WZZZ's advice to check you actual speed is wise. Most ISPs give you "up to" some level of service. Use http://speedtest.net/ for check you actual downloads speeds.
The other thing to remember is that old servers or busy servers often cannot dole out info at fast speeds. I have a 50mbps cable connection that can pull down files at over 2mb/sec from fast servers but getting a new version of FireFox only goes at about 150 to 300kbsp from that always-busy server.
Time of day and line conditions can also make a difference in actual speed.

  • New to notebook PC's, was wondering about normal temp ranges.

Hey everyone, well like the title says I'm new to notebook Pc's and I just bought a Dv7-2270us.  I was wondering what the normal temp ranges are for notebook Pc's in particular one like mine. A good general range can work. I'm a vet when it comes to desktops but I have real concerns about my laptop I don't want to load it down too much for too long, or if that's even possible with a laptop. I know SpeedFan isn't the most accurate, but it gives a decent range, so according to SpeedFan at rest I'm getting: Temp1: 36C, Core 0: 34C, Core 1: 34C, Core 2: 34C. Now I ran Oblivion for about 20mins and SpeedFan was giving me: Temp1: 56C, Core 0: 46, Core 1: 46, Core 2: 51. They seemed normal to me, but laptops are different so I thought I'd come out and see if I could find some help. Are these temps normal and what temp under load should I start backing off. Thanks so much in advance.

A few weeks back i posted the same topic but did not get replies.
but for my AMD Turion RM 74 the temperature range is: 40C to 85C
    Using Power Saving mode:
    Idle: 40C
    surfing:55C
Gaming: --- I dont play games on power saving -----
    HP Recomended:
    idle: 50C
    surfing: 60C
    Gaming: 75C
    High Performance:
    idle: 60C
    surfing: 70C
    gaming: 85-90C

  • Wondering about charging ipod...

i've just converted over to macs and i've never had a laptop so i'm not sure about this at all. i have an ipod that i normally hooked up to my old pc to charge..because i never bought the wallcharger(and now that i've bought this it would take me 2weeks til i have enough to buy one) and i'm wondering if i hook my ipod up to my iBook if it would kill my battery?

No it wont kill your battery. Yes it'll use the power from battery so it's recommended that you have the Power plug on the computer. You dont need the wall charger for the ipod (dont need a wall charger for the ipod but you need it for computer). does that help?

  • I'm wondering about bootable backup strategies

I'm wondering what people use and recommend for backup strategies, and especially the utility of "bootable" backups.
I have an early-2011 15" MBPro, running fully updated Yosemite.  My computer is apparently one of the "victims" of the recently publicized graphics system problems that has resulted in Apple's recent out-of-warranty repair offer for machines in this category.  Over the past 10 months my machine has been in for repair 4 times, resulting in the replacement of my display, main logic board (x 3!!) and hard drive.  These 4 repairs were the result of incidents that started with the screen graphics going crazy and ending, eventually, in an un-bootable state.  Two of the 4 times I was returned a working machine with a clean new-install of OS 10.  (all "free" I might add, thanks to still being on Apple Care when the whole process started!)  Hopefully, my last repair will "do the trick" as it was AFTER Apple's announced repair offer for these machines.  My Apple Store "genius" opined that this time my main logic board was probably an "improved" item, since the first two replacements didn't solve the problem.
So twice in the recent past I have had to completely restore my machine from my Time Machine (to Time Capsule) back-up.  Both successful, thankfully!  But this experience has focused my attention very sharply on my backup strategy, and made me wonder how "exposed" one still might be with "just" a Time Machine backup.
Talking informally with several more knowledgeable and experienced "Mac" people that I know, I discovered that many people don't rely on Time Machine, at least not solely.  I was persuaded that the really most secure situation is to have a second back-up, preferably a bootable "disc image,"  stored on a separate device (and maybe preferably off site).
So, I've been looking into the options, services, etc..  There are MANY!  I love the ease, automaticity and utility of having a Time Machine back-up.  But I'm wondering, for those (probably few) out there that do something MORE than that: what back-up strategies do you use?  Is is POSSIBLE to have a "bootable" backup on an online/cloud device (maybe not)?  What systems work well and are complementary/supplementary to Time Machine?
I know, from my own experience, that HAVING a backup is fairly easy.  But I've also learned that RESTORING a backup (mine's around 400 GB) is NOT "easy", at least very time consuming, and probably fraught with potential problems which won't appear until it's too late to do something else!  So I'm particularly looking at the restoration features of backup software and services.  Frankly, those are often largely ignored in the promotions, which mainly focus on how easy it is to DO the backup but never talk much about doing the restore!!
Any and all opinions are welcomed.  I am definitely considering some redundancy in my backups after "dodging the bullet" twice in the last 3 months!

... how "exposed" one still might be with "just" a Time Machine backup.
Just one backup isn't enough. Two or more are preferable. Time Machine can back up to as many external devices as you wish. Purchase two or more inexpensive USB hard disk drives and store one of them offsite at all times. Time Machine will back up to each one "in rotation" when they're available. If the backup device it's expecting isn't available, it looks for the next one, etc.
If you want to augment Time Machine with another backup strategy, consider "clone" software such as Carbon Copy Cloner. It will create bootable copies of your existing installation if you consider that a valuable option.
"Bootable" is fine but not really necessary. Consider the possibility in which it's impossible to boot your Mac for whatever reason, or if should happen to be lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged. Consider the circumstances applicable to the way you use your Macs that might cause that event. If your disaster recovery plan addresses that contingency, it's a good plan. Recovering 400 GB is going to be time consuming no matter what method you use. An external HDD with a Thunderbolt interface would be fastest, followed by USB3, followed by USB2, followed by a directly connected (Ethernet cable) Time Capsule, followed by a wireless Time Capsule — for which a TM restoration might take an unacceptable amount of time (days).
Obviously I don't know the circumstances of the repairs you required, but I question the necessity to replace the hard disk. It's possible the same one could have been re-used, saving you the inconvenience of having to perform a restoration.
