Bounced Notification messages in Mail

Help me out!! I have been getting "Bounced Notification Messages" in my mail for the past few days. Have dumped all messages and cleared my mailbox, yet the messages still claim I have exceeded my "quota". Sorry for the stupid question, but how do i correct this, and what can I do to avoid maxing out the "quota"??

Thanks, I figured it out thru my "server". Just had to dump a ton stuff hanging around for too long. All clear now.

Turning off "Delivery Notification" messages

Is it possible to totally suppress messages regarding delivery status from Postmaster? I run a pair of JESMS 6.2 servers which are SMTP relays primarily and the accounts used to send mail are not "people" but services. I'd like the "Delivery Notification: Message has been delayed/failed/etc" to not be generated. I think there's a setting in imta.cnf for this but am wary of the syntax. Can anyone advise what the line should look like?

It doesn't control whether the original bounce/notification message is created. If you don't care about these postmaster copies you can disable them by replacing copysendpost with nosendpost and copywarnpost with nowarnpost.

Bounce notification as "RFC822.eml" attachment to

If outbound mails are undeliverable, our Lotus Notes users receives bounce notification messages (created by ESA) sometimes as attachement (filename: "RFC822.eml") to a Notes-created DSN.
The .eml attachment contains $BounceReason from ESA's point of view.
Body of Notes-DSN:
"[MIME content for this item is stored in attachment $RFC822.eml. Parsing MIME content failed: Incorrect format in MIME data..]"
Seems that the Ironport bounce is not interpretable by Notes. Why? And how can we remedy this defect?

Keep in mind if you or your customer are using CM (centralized Management) this can cause performance issue.
But I used this with two different customer using Lotus Domino/Notes and IronPort and this fixed the issue.
In fact, the .eml file can be saves as .txt and you can see the NDF there.

Nevermind, I found it.
Mail Policies > Text Resources > Add Text Resource
Set the type as Encryption Notification Template (HTML), edit the HTML and then also add one with a type Encryption Notification Template (text), edit the text. Then go into the Security Services > IronPort E-Mail Encryption > modify the Encryption profile and choose the new Text Resources created above.
Under Text Resources I was also able to create custom bounce messages with variables that display all the relevant information regarding the bounce.

Okay, please excuse my mistake.
I accidentally bounced my wife email address instead of redirecting it (the menu items are next to each other.)
Mail even gave me a prompt to confirm, which I select "OK" unconsciously.
In doing so, I received a "Fwd: Returned Mail: User Unknown" message in my inbox. I'm assuming Mail is alerting me that a message my wife is trying to send me is bouncing back to her.
Here's my question: Is Mail bouncing all my wife's messages? If so, how do I un-bounce her messages?

Constant notifications about unread Mail messages

Hi everyone,
Using Apple Mail on a 2010 iMac, OS X 10.9.5.
I have been getting constantly repeating notifications about unread mails. Sometimes I receive an email which I want to deal with later, so after reading it I mark it as unread. The problem is that I then start getting notifications in the top right of my screen as if the message I just flagged as unread was a new incoming message. I wouldn't care if it just did it once, but it does it every minute or two! Needless to say this is a little annoying
I'm not sure if this is a Mail problem, or a Mavericks problem. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I HAD a blackberry downloading my .mac email. It was marking them as opened for some reason - no way to change the seeting.

Email notifications stuck in Mail status

Hi,
The notification mailer is up and running and we receive emails when we run the test. However, when a user goes through the application, lets say the Purchase requisition process, the process completes successfully, we see the notification in his worklist, we see the notification in the wf_notifications table with status of MAIL, but the user does not get the email notification. The email address is defined both on the employee record and on the user record. The background process is running but it doesn't pick up the notification. After a while the notification gets expired.
does anyone have any clue as to why the test notification from the mailer works but we don't get an email when we go thru the requisition process although it completes successfully ?

There are various aspects to troubleshooting this issue.
Let me explain the mailer architecture in a nutshell and then troubleshooting tips.
1. Notification activity in a workflow process is executed by the engine. The activity makes an entry in WF_NOTIFICATIONS table with appropriate values for RECIPIENT_ROLE, SUBJECT and MAIL_STATUS based on recipient's notification preference.
2. At the same time, an business event is raised for that notification and enqueued on to the WF_DEFERRED queue.
3. The Workflow Deferred Agent Listener dequeues the event, builds a XML message for that notification and enqueues it again to WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue.
4. Workflow Notification Mailer polls the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue and when a message arrives, it dequeues it, parses the XML for that notification and builds a MIME message. Sends the MIME message to the intended recipient_role's e-mail address.
In summary the message for e-mail goes like this...
Ntf Activity -> WF_DEFERRED -> WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT -> Notification Mailer Now things to check.
1. Is the Deferred Agent Listener or Deferred Notification Agent Listener running?
2. Is the Notification Mailer running with Correlation ID parameter set to null? Because the mailer could be configured to only process e-mail notifications from a specific Item Type.
3. Is the intended RECIPIENT_ROLE's e-mail address and notification_preference values in WF_ROLES view correct? The email address should be valid and notification preference should be MAIL%.
There is a debug script $FND_TOP/sql/wfmlrdbg.sql. Run this for the given notification id and you will be able to see in which queue the message is stuck.

Server Admin only shows 201 messages in Mail Queue

This issue has been haunting me since 10.5.0 and I can't seem to get rid of it. It's not crucial, but very obnoxious. In Server Admin (from multiple computers) the mail queue will only show a maximum of 201 messages. If there are more than that I have a cryptic "message" at the end of the list that has a message ID of "FFFFFFFFFFFF" and the Recipients Field has [...]
I would love to be able to see all the messages in my queue if possible, but haven't found anywhere to fix this.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks Alex. We aren't bouncing spam on our mail server, but I do notice that a lot of the mail is from MAILER-DAEMON. I'm assuming it's "User not Found" messages from hosts that don't really exist. I've tweaked the server using some suggestions from osx.topicdesk.com to clear some of those out, but it hasn't been 100% effective.
I think part of the issue is that the server is a dual G4 Xserve and is scanning junk mail on all messages. I assume that those two factors contribute to the backup of mail in the queue.
As for volume of mail, we receive 100k a month.

Human task notification message configuration.

Hi All,
whenever any human task assignes to an user, SOA11g server sends a e-mail notification to that particular user. I need to configure/change the standard notification message with the custom message as per my poject needs. I have been trying to change the 'Notification Header' field of HumanTask file inside BPEL project from JDeveloper IDE. Now, after redeploying the solution, modified notification message is sending but, in E-mail message it is printing whole notification message in a single line, i need to print the e-mail message in the specified format. How to achieve this?.

in the from expression of assign activity, then check your .bpel file it would have &#13; rather than

Modify URM notification messages

Using 11g WebCenter Content: Records, does anyone know how to modify the notification messages that get sent to Retention Category authors? I can't find it in the documentation but I know there must be a way. Any help would be appreciated.

Which part of the notification do you want to change? The layout? The text? Something else?
It's not going to be simply a configuration entry change in any event. That's why it's not in the documentation. You'll have to write a custom component that overrides the template "rma_notify_authors_email.htm" if you need drastic changes.
I'll forewarn you now - be very careful of errant and/or extra white-space when creating your template or overriding the includes in the template. The mail server that you are sending the mail through most likely will not like it.

Email notifications on voice mail - 2014

For some reason, I no longer seem to receive email notifications when voice mail is left for me. I've checked the settings and everything looks ok, but I don't seem to get emails. I see some past posts from 2013 on this topic that things have been broken for some users. I don't see any recent messages from 2014. Any updates?

It's done in Verizon Call Assistant. Once you have vca installed and active you can log in to the vca page for your account and there is a selection under what's new at bottom right that says get email notification of who called. pressing check it out takes you to the email alerts setting page where you can set the default email address to receive notifications. I'm not sure that this is the one that send you a recording of the voicemail too.

Note, however, that such "bounces" rarely do any good. Most messages you would like to bounce use fake sending addresses and so won't ever see a bounce. Those that do have a valid return address usually will just register the bounce as being validation that your email address is valid and so you just get even more junk mail.
So I'd suggest you not concern yourself with the absense of the "bounce" feature. It's ineffectiveness is probably why Apple removed the feature.

Can not find some messages in Mail using search

I have some problems with Mail.app I can not find some messages in Mail using search, the strange thing is that sometimes mail search finds some messages, but after rebuilding spotlight index the search displays other messages with the all messages searched using same search criteria. I have also tried to delete Envelope index file from the Mail folder in usr/library and forced mail to import all mailboxes but it started to crash importing some of mailboxes - I deleted the messages from that mailboxes, imported remaining mailboxes and tried to rebuild mailbox, but everything without a successes. Any ideas how to solve it?

in sender side i'm not using any communication channel and adapter engine i'm just using http client tool for testing purpose
i'm getting the response that's fine because its a synchronous communication
i checked sxmb_adm in that -->integration configuration LOGGING parameter of category RUNTIME is set to ENGINE_TYPE and current value is HUB(Integration server)
