Bouncing text

I have the problem in Adobe Premiere elements 11 with bouncing text (efects "focus" and "blur"). You can see it on video:
And if I used these effects, the program is unstable and falling (in editing the effects or in rendering process).
Is it problem only on my PC or is this the error of Adobe Premiere elements 11?

when I use mpeg2 1920x1080/25i, the pc is working on his limits (almost 8 Gb RAM, processor at 100%) and Adobe cannot render it - the rendering is stoped at 99% and Adobe stop working, you can see picture below. IS IT NORMAL, IF I RENDERING THE 30 SEC CLIP WITH TEXT ANIMATION ONLY?:
MP4 1920x1080/25p is better for rendering:
If I render to mpeg2 the text is jumping a lot. If I render to mp4 the text is jumping considerably less, but still jumping :-(
I will upload mpeg2 and mp4 videos in few minutes.
And I can see this error measage:
Is it possible that incorrect run of adobe causing czech windows?

  • Mail.app 3.6 - change bounce text

    Is there any way to change text that Mail 3.6 sends when bouncing an email?
    I'd like to change 'From: postoffice' to 'From: Mail Delivery System'
    I'd also like to hide my IP address and 'Resent-From' line that reveals 'bounce' is actually being 'resent' from my email address and not from my mail server.
    If bounce is going to help discourage spam by appearing as if email account does not exist, then it's essential to change these settings.

    Hi Darrell, true, Bounce only notifies them they've reached a valid eMail addy.
    Is there some way to setup a Bounce reply using WebMail on the server end? Or is this mail server on your Mac?
    Not sure how they spoof the IP, but maybe using AppleScript to compose a Bounce Reply?
    Been unsuccessful finding where the bounce header is stored.

  • Stretching and bouncing texts

    Hello all -
    I am doing multimedia edits using photos, video and texts that I generate using the typewriter function in Final Cut Pro.
    No matter what format I compress these projects into - HD264, MPEG4, Apple Animation, or Flash -- the texts always stretch and bounce, especially where I have put dissolves.
    It was suggested to me that this may have something to do with size ratios, rather than compression issues.
    Any ideas how to STOP my texts from stretching and bouncing?
    Many thanks - MP Nunan

    Not two familiar with FCP, however, I am a video editor and motion graphics guy by trade.
    Without seeing it I can only guess at a possible cause.
    NTSC video uses a frame size of 720x480 using "non-square" pixels (4x3 video uses a .9 pixel aspect, and widescreen uses a 1.2 pixel aspect). Computers use square pixels. So an square pixel equivalent of NTSC video would be 720x540 or 640x480. 640x480 being a pretty common export size for computer full size video or 320x240 and 160x120 being common for web video.
    Anyway, the reason this is important is that since you are mixing various different sources together you are dealing with different pixel aspect ratios...mixing pixel aspect ratios without accounting for it can stretch and distort various parts of the video.
    In most cases editing software and motion graphics applications can accommodate various pixels aspects, but only if it knows what it is dealing with. Often when importing graphics you may need to tell the software that the graphic you are importing is using square or non-square pixels.
    Depending on how you set up your FCP project, it also has to create pieces of video to make your text and transitions, it will be creating these using a specific pixel aspect (in NTSC video project this will be non-square). I would assume, since I've seen this on other editing software, that when dealing with two different sources using different pixel aspect ratios, the software has to pick one when creating the transitions and other things, causing those areas to stretch or seem to bounce when it goes from one area to the next.

  • Multiple monitor support is broken in 10.9.3 update

    One of the biggest reasons I bought a 2013 Mac PRO was the advertised claim that "It supports up to three 4K displays running simultanously".
    I need this kind of pixel pushing power.
    I do research and development that requires having a lot of information in front of me, so I run four monitors -- two Dell 2560x1600 monitors, and two DELL 1600x1200 monitors, with appropriate adaptors to convert mini-displayport to DVI and dual-link DVI (at significant additional cost).
    Up until today, it was all running beautifully and flawlessly.
    Today, I updated to 10.9.3, and only two monitors come up.  I tried rebooting, tried turning moitors on and off, tried unplugging and replugging in the monitors. I can get any two of the monitors to work, it just depends on which two I plug in first, and it doesn't matter which ports I plug them into. In any arrangement, it only sees the first two monitors I plug in and the last two just stay black.  System Preferences only knows about those first two.
    Does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade back to the previous version of the OS and how?
    Or, does anyone know about a workaround?
    Does Apple even care anymore?

    hkruse:  Thank you! Fortunately I did have a TM backup from before the update. It worked flawlessly. But I wish there had been a manual with this machine including such wonderful tidbits of info. How are we mere mortals supposed to find this stuff?  Posting to this message board and sloghing through the hit-or-miss responses is wasteful and tedious.  I lost most of one day and one morning because of this "update'.
    It makes me wonder how many millions of person-hours are lost that could have been avoided by one or two engineers taking their job a little more serioustly, with a management staff that backs them up?
    When I worked at IBM (early 1990s), I was on the QA team for AIX. We had a whole roomfull of technicians who were constantly developing, refining, running and documenting suites of regression tests on AIX and every enhancement in the pipeline. Does no one do this anymore?
    I've also contributed to Linux back in the 90's and was shocked at how easy it was to get code included in that package-- one of the reasons I don't trust Linux today (I love it for a playground environment, but I'd never rely on it for serious work!)
    Companies like Apple and Microsoft have a social reponsibility to make these critical systems efficient and reliable. I wish they'd spend a lot less time making things cute (the bouncing text bubbles in the IOS texting app, for instance, or the skeumorphic shifting background on IOS home screens, etc.) and spend more time and effort to make things rock solid, so they "just work".  That was the reason I switched to Apple eight years ago. Not because it was pretty.
    Go ahead and make it pretty, but don't stop at "it works", keep going until you're sure it won't fail. It's easy to write code that works. Harder and more important to write code that won't fail. Anyone who doesn't understand the differrence is not a seasoned coder.
    Thanks for Time Machine. I'd be screwed without that.  Now please give us the documentation to use it! (and the PRAM, the SMC, anything else that we ought to know about to rescure us from these premature, half-cocked updates...) Here's an idea: Print a reference manual and put it int he box with a new machine. I make educational model kits these days, and every one of my products comes with a manual. If I can do it, why can't you?  A 70 page perfect-bound manual costs less than $2 to print. Seriously.
    Does anyone know how to disable these App Store update reminders?  I hate having to click "remind me later" then "tomorrow" every day...  I won't be installing any more updates without researching them first (and what a further waste of time that will be!)
    Treat us right Apple. Be responsible.

  • Multiple animations in Flash CS4

    I'm fairly new to Flash and I'm having a bit of trouble.  I've created two animations.  One's a bouncing text animation and the other animation is a series of twinkling stars.  I've added a key frame stop to keep the bounching text from looping, but I want the twinkling star animation to continue to loop.  Is there any way to have one animation stop and the other loop?
    Thanks for the help!

    Thanks for the tip!  I've put both of the animations into movie clips and moved them to the stage.  I haven't tried putting in the stop command yet.  I now have a new problem.  I tested the movie and it worked just fine.  Then, I decided to go ahead and publish it (I've had problems in the past with things crashing as I publish---I've gotten in the habit of publishing what I'm working on every so oftern to make sure things are working okay) as an animated .gif, just like all of the other items I've created.  The animations don't show up in the .gif, even though they show up when I test the movie.  Any idea what's going on???

  • Flash transparency to Premiere Elements 7?

    I'm making a credit sequence for a  Web video. I've posted a five-second clip here that makes pretty clear what I'm hoping to do. The static television opener looks fine, and the bouncy text bounces fine but is encased by black rectangles. I know that they're a result of transparency (the yellow glow around the lettering is set to Screen), but I don't know what's possible or how much I have to redo.
    Here's the workflow that went into this so far:
    The red text (and yellow glow) was drawn in AICS4 and saved as a document with one artboard and three layers;
    that document was imported into FlashCS4, made into a symbol, and used in three motion tweens (down fast, up fast, settle slow) with a transparent background, and exported as .swf.
    That .swf was imported into PE7.
    (The cascading polka-dot background behind the bouncing text is a separate .swf playing on its own layer in PE7.)
    So, what do you suggest? Do I have to lose the yellow glow - or set it to 'Normal" in AI? If I have to save a new AI document, can I alter the Flash symbol so that I don't have to redraw the tweens? (I'm not very adept, and it probably took me half an hour.)
    Posting in AI, Flash and PE7 forums, because I don't know where I should be making the changes. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    I have a large amount of tagged photos (5000+) in PS, but don't use the "Send to Premiere Elements" option for SlideShow export because of some of the editing limitations stated.
    My workflow via PS is as follows:
    I select the Photos (itemized via Tag, or individually).
    File Menu/Export/As New Files/
    Select File Type (typically I use Jpeg or PSD)
    Photo Size (800x600 ~ this will down-rez for PE)
    Pick a Location (a folder of my choice)
    Export...
    I now have a new set of correct resolution Photos sitting in a separate folder waiting to be loaded into PE.
    When I'm done with the Project, I delete these Photos, and free up space...

    I was thinking about that. Unfortunately, I only have PrE 4 to test with. Maybe Steve, Neale or another user with more recent versions can tell you for sure. Considering the CODEC used in both PrE and PrPro, it would seem likely. I was surprised that it was not in PrE 4. I am glad that I went out to get you that screen-cap, and discovered my error. Let's hope that the newer versions DO contain the Alpha Channel, as it is so useful with sprites and similar.
    One option might be to use one of the FLV editing/conversion programs, like the ones from Moyea. Not sure which formats, one would want to Import into one of those, but they should be able to Export to FLV w/ Alpha Channel. Since I just use PrPro 2.0, I have closely investigated any of their products, beyond the very useful FLV-Importer for Premiere, which works great in PrPro. Note: I linked to but one of their products, but there could well be more, or better.
    Good luck, and sorry for the "assumption" on my part. Heck, I often forget whether I am in the PrE, or the PrPro forum!

  • Clicking a title makes iMovie 6 freeze

    I have iMovie 6.0.3 and am having troubles with it freezing. Awhile ago, I had problems with using Office, which turned out to be a font issue. I was able to fix it by clearing the font caches and removing duplicate fonts.
    Now in iMovie, whenever I click on a title, I get my "bing" error sound and shortly after any other action is taken, the spinning beach ball of death, requiring me to force quit iMovie. If I don't click on a title (centered title, bouncing text, etc.) I am able to freely scroll around through the list, go to any other tab under the editing pane, but once I click on a title, it freezes. I'm not able to drag it into a location or click on "add" as it also causes it to freeze, and no preview window comes up in the viewer.
    I'm assuming at this point it's another unresolved font issue. My font book tells me all my fonts are fine, no errors. There are no more duplicate fonts. So I'm left thinking there is some file iMovie is trying to read where it's attempting to locate the fonts that no longer exist -- or something along those lines. Well I cannot find such a file, and I've tried removing the preferences as well to no avail.
    Is anyone able to shed some light on this? If nothing else explain to me how fonts work in conjunction with iMovie so I can try further trouble shooting?

    Well, I managed to solve it. It was not a font issue.
    What I did that fixed it was under iMovie, show package contents/PlugIns, I removed a plug in called title, opened iMovie, and it magically worked. Then I quit iMovie, replaced the plugin and restarted it. iMovie titles now work fine. If someone else has a problem like this, try removing other plug ins and then placing them back in the folder. I also removed the entire plugin folder at one point, which might have done something as well, I'm really not sure.
    I can only think iMovie was trying to find the files for the titles in the wrong place. Why, I have no idea. But it works now. So yay!

  • Loading External SWF - Problem

    Hi,
    Using MovieClipLoader I want to load external SWFs - and it
    is working fine
    if external swf doesn't have anything outside it's stage,
    otherwise it shows
    everything - that's the problem.
    For example, external swf's stage dimensions are 100x150, but
    it has some
    timeline animation (some objects scrolling through the stage,
    some bouncing
    text animation that sometimes goes off-stage, etc..).
    So when I load this external movie (banner.swf), I can see
    all these objects
    that were bouncing outside this 100x150 area (the stage of
    banner). Even
    more - the size of loaded movie is larger than 100x150px
    (because of these
    off-stage objects that are now visible). This way I'm getting
    positioning
    problems, too.
    var mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    mcl.loadClip("banner.swf", holder);
    mcl.addListener(listener);
    holder._x = Stage.width/2 - holder._width/2;
    holder._y = Stage.height/2 - holder._height/2;
    Thanks in advance,
    B.

    Hi kglad,
    Does doing that takes only into account width and height of the stage, or also considers off stage items (as in the initial question)?
    I am also looking at this issue and we can't have all the content providers modify their pre-existing flash applications to be displayed in the appropiate scale. We are looking to any of the following:
    find a way to get adobe air/flash to not consider the off stage elements on the width/height we set to the movie.
    find a way to get the stage size from the external movie and use that to auto calculate the resize needed.
    any other alternative that allows to have the same end result, which is loading up the external content at the size we specify and displaying well. We can actually hide content outside the stage, but we still need to know the appropiate scale / size to apply to the movie so what's visible matches the are where we want to show the content.

  • Baseline problem on export

    Rotated text (even in small increments) appears to render in the finished image file as though the baseline of various characters have had their baselines individually shifted. It almost looks like a bouncing text effect. I have tested various degrees of roation, with several fonts. I have tested in most export formats (PDF, PNG & JPG) and the impact is the same. The only thing that seems to resolve the problem is outlining the text, but this destroys the editability.
    Is it purely dependant on the resolution settings? Even in PDF if you were to draw a line across the bottom of the word(s) you can clearly see a misalignment.
    Has anyone else seen/experienced this? Is this a rendering issue? Type engine?
    Tested in CS5, CS6 and CC.
    Thanks in advance!

    in text frame option do trial & error with menu 'First baseline offset' at menu tab 'baseline options'.
    Im not sure but check out if it helps.

  • Default AS3 Text component bounce effect help

    I tried posting this in an Actionscript forum without much
    help. I hope someone here can point me in the right direction.
    So I need help trying to figure out how to add an AS3 effect
    to an AS3 Text component.
    var savedNote.Text = new Text();
    savedNote.text = "Selected options have been saved!";
    savedNote.visible = false;
    var submitButton.Button = new Button();
    submitButton.label = "Save selected options";
    submitButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,
    onSubmitButtonClickedHandler);
    public function
    onSubmitButtonClickedHandler(event:Event):void
    //here set the visible for the text to true but i want a
    bouncing effect
    // to be applied to the text component "savedNote" each time
    the button is clicked - HOW
    savedNote.visible = true;
    so each time the user clicks on the button I want the text to
    appear the first time and then have a bouncy effect so that the
    user know the action to save when button is clicked actually took
    place.
    HOW do I do this with AS3??? Thank you! if anyone can point
    me to online tutorials that would be great!

    Pasting your code right into my Flash file works well for me. Are you able to see the text in a black color? Are you able to change everything else except for the color?

  • Bouncing Navigation Text

    Hi all,
    I'm looking for advice on how the experts do this kind of
    thing. (Link below) The text navigation next to the guy in the
    middle of the flash piece has a nice bounce to it (both the text
    and the arrow glow). I can create this using a movie in a rollover
    button where the movement is created using frames and editing the
    ease in/out curves. But is this how the experts do it? Or do they
    use action script?
    This has such a nice organic feel to it and I'm getting close
    by using the ease in/out curves - but it's not quite right yet. I
    can play with it - but . . . ya know . just wondering what the
    'smarties' do. I'm not afraid of Actionscript - just don't use it a
    ton to drive my animations cause I only use flash a few times a
    month and I don't retain like I should.
    Here's the link:

    Thanks!

    the easiest way to do this would be as you said to turn off navigation and create it yourself. Good luck

  • Text - Drop and Bounce ?

    Is there a way to use the drop and bounce with a FCP clip within the text throughout the drop and bounce ? Can someone tell me how.

    I can get the clip in the text in FCP but i really need to be on a white background.
    If I read your post correctly, all you need to to do is improt the Motion project back into FCP and drop the whole thing onto a matte generator clip that you have set to be white.
    That does not work for me. Am i missing something else here ?
    Your posts are not very clear sop we're having trouble trying to figure out what to tell you to try. Which part of Cert's advice are you nat able to get to work for you? Are you sure you know how to do what he's described or is there something that is filing in the results?
