Bounding box problem in InDesign CC 2014

I have a PC, am a Cloud Customer, and just upgraded to CC 2014. Have a 1000 page book finished. Went to editing. It is not broken into sections.
Don't know what happened but - Opened doc to find two pages with bounding box in center. Renamed the doc -- no difference. Deleted the two pages and tried to flow the pages back on the newly inserted pages. Works but it keeps eliminating a page so that I have to manually add in another page each time. Am only on page 140 of 1000.
What can I do?

Does this "bounding box" have really strange dimensions, written in scientific notation? There's a bug that does this on some converted files (don't think I've seen it on new files). I believe deleting the pages, complete with frames, and replacing them should get the file back on track, but the first thing you should do at that point is export IDML and resave as a new file. Problem with Indesign CC 2014 and tables. The text rearranges itself when I delete or add something in a table; the footnotes to the text associated with the overlap even getting unreadable. Just click on the chain symbol in the window and everything is fine. Why?

Problem installing Indesign CC (2014) - in log - Failed in key3List generation

Trying to install InDesign CC (2014), all other apps worked no issue with Creative Cloud. Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver CC (2014) all no problems.
I keep getting there was a problem installing InDesign CC (2014) with the error Installation failed. Unable to extract to temp directory, Please contact customer support. (EX11)
There is adequate disk space, no security issues with folder, have tried disabling Norton, on admin account.
I guess maybe the next step is to uninstall Creative Cloud and run cleaner as a last possibility.
Any other thoughts?

I am also having the exact same issue. During installation, the CC App was unable to extract to a temporary directory. Please contact customer support (EX11). In my searches to resolve this issue someone pointed me to http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2014-direct-download-links.html to download CC apps manually. I was still having issues installing the program that way as well. When I extract the files to install an error in copying the files occurs. (Error: 0x80004005 Unspecified Error)

I am using Windows 7
After troubleshooting the process with adobe customer support, The few key things that made the install successful for me were thus...
1: Find your windows temp folder (press windows key+r) and type %temp% and hit ok. Find your temporary install and delete it and any copies you might have.
2: Make sure you have winzip, winrar or some other file extraction program.
3: Re-download InDesign from your CC app, and if/when it fails go back to the temp folder. (Do not try to download InDesign from the CC app multiple times.)
4: Extract your install in the windows temp file if necessary, and install manually through the installer in your temp folder.
5: The file should install without problems as this point, and proceed to update indesign.
This worked for me. If this does not work for you, customer support is available with your Creative Cloud Membership.

Errors an problems with InDesign CC 2014

I am having "Out of Memory" error while using InDesign CC 2014. This has never happened before. I am working on a catalog and is constantly flickering the text or images, or freezes the screen or just wont start the program.
I am in the final process of this catalog and I cannot keep crashing it will eventually damage my files. I anyone else having this problem??

Problem with Indesign CC 2014 (Creative Cloud)

I tryed to install InDesign CC 2014 (in a Mac) from Creative Cloud but the installation hangs in 17%... Checking the logs shows me that there is a problem with the file.
Here is a screenshot of the logs
If this is correct the selected text says that the file is corrupted...
Note: This is the unique app that give me problems... I have installed Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Pro, etc. without any problem.
Any idea?

Footnote problem in Indesign CC 2014

I started to use Indesign CC 2014. The last line of the footnotes in my old files I opened with this latest version don't sit on the bottom of the frame.
Can anyone help me?

This is another example. A footnote between ordinary text lines. I fixed the problem by resetting the paragraph style to base. But I don't know the source of the problem.

Object drawing poorly aligned bounding box problem

Whenever I draw a shape with Object Drawing turned on the blue bounding box that appears whenever it is selected isn't aligned properly to the outer edgers of the shape. Like this:
Admittedly it isn't a major problem it's just a bit irritating especially when people I'm teaching to use Flash ask me why it looks the way it does.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Does anyone know if it can be fixed?

I am running Flash CS4 10.0.2 on a 2.4GB Mac OS X 10.5, MacBook Pro with 4GB RAM.
Following your reply, I tried a new AS2 file - and there is absolutely no issue! Its fine. How odd!
However, the problem occurs in all AS3 files - if I create a new Flash AS 3.0 file and draw on the stage, the problem occurs for the following shapes:
1. Rectangle tool
2. Ellipse tool
3. Polygon Tool
Rectangle primitive and Ellipse primitive are fine.
The smaller the object is, the more the bounding box is out of alignment. I have attached a further screengrab to show how bad things get when zoomed in working on small shapes (zoomed to 800%). Its completely unusable in object mode. The fact that the primitive shapes work is good, but the ellipses can be a bit unreliable in their shape. I've been trying to skin some detailed Flex components, but just can't work like this, so its been very frustrating.
I have really no idea where to start. I tried to re-install from the CS4 Web Premium DVDs, but as luck would have it, my SuperDrive has packed up and I have to wait for a week at the Apple Store before dropping it in to get fixed, so can't do that for now.

Problems with InDesign CC 2014 tool palettes on an extended display

We have a Mac in our group set up with an extended display. With Indesign CC and before, we were able to move our InDesign tool palettes to the extended display, giving us a full view of our work on the main display. Now with the new upgrade to Indesign CC 2014, when using the tool palettes, the commands open on the main workspace display and the palettes will not collapse into each other unless you move them to the main display first. Can anyone offer help?

Bounding Box Problems

I am using Illustrator CS3. I have a document with art and text. When I click on a piece of art, there is a large bounding box (not really sure if that's what it's called) that encases the entire document and it's always attached to whatever piece of art I click on. Is there anyway to release any bouding boxes or maybe reveal what it actually is? I'm new to Illustrator and frustrated.

If you are seeing a bounding box with no object inside, then try setting a stroke color or fill color. You should see two color swatches in the top toolbar on the left. Clicking either of these will let you select a color. Left swatch is fill and right swatch is stroke.

Having a dialog box problem in InDesign CC

The dialog boxes on my just downloaded version of InDesign CC look like Windows dialog boxes, not Mac ones (although Save and Save As do appear as normal OSX design). Obviously I am on a Mac and don't want a partial Mac version of InDesign. My previous versions, including most recently CS6, have not had this problem. Suggestions?

Hi there. I don't have anything to help you but I am curious about something you have done that I was told was not possible. I am VERY new to this forum and I wanted to upload an image to one of my posts. However, I couldn't see a way of doing it.
Thankfully, someone pointed out to me that I had to use Workspaces and gave me a link to the instructions. So in my post, there is only a link, and the reader has to click on it, wait for Workspaces to load etc. I found this very annoying and weird given than most forums allow users to upload simple files.
I came across your post and you have managed to include the actual images in your post! This is great. It is instant feedback for those who are trying to help you.
So please, can you tell me how you achieved this without having to go through Workspaces?
I would love to know.

Bounding Box locks up after editing objects

I am using Edge Animate CC (2014) on a Mac.
After using Edge Animate for a few minutes (making simple edits to objects), the bounding box around the object selected, and the border around the stage box freeze in place. I am able to move the objects around, but the bounding box that froze initially remains selected, and stationary (no matter which object I have selected in the time editor).
If I continue to use After Effects, ignoring the bounding box problem, the program eventually freezes and shuts down. I have not been able to find/been given an error code yet. After the program has closed, I can reopen it and it performs perfectly for a little, and then malfunctions in the same way.
So far I have tried:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling (keeping program preferences on uninstall)
- Uninstalling and reinstalling (deleting program preferences on uninstall)
- Renaming folder in "~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Edge Animate" folder to "Edge Animate Old" allowing Edge Animate to create new "Edge Animate" folder containing file named 5.0.1 instead of 5.0.0 (I did this under instructions from Adobe phone support. It did not solve the problem).
Let me know if you have any solutions or if I can clarify anything in greater detail. Thanks!

How can I align a text object by the visible text and NOT by its bounding box?

Illustrator CS4.
I am trying to align some text to the center of the artboard. The bounding box is bigger than the text, so when I try to align it to the artboard it doesn't actually center align the artwork as I need it to. The text is needing to be aligned with another text object, so I can't just center align the text and then align to the artboard (which would eliminate the bounding box problem, I think). To make matters worse, the text I want to align has a stroke.
The only way I know to currently align the text properly is to convert it to outlines. This is what I've done, but I need something better. I want to be able to have my illustrator file that has all editable text and then be able to make a separate identical file with all text converted to outlined paths. The only thing holding me back right now is that I can't get the exact alignment while everything is still as text.

The solution is to simple to believe and probably why you over looked it.
You make two text frames to exactly the height and width of the text. You position the text in the relative location and then group the text frames then center that group on the artboard.
Like such:
If you ever want to add text that should be no problem but you have to re center.
