bout mix sound i said is it seem like those guy had big HOLE pipe head room to kick in the bass and his kickdrum so loud and to tight without get in distorted harsh / geting in red peak i try to push up and pull up my VST kick bass or kick drum / my sample kick with this soundcard but while i reach same loudness in my headphone and i see indicator it reach red peak sometimes the loudness same but overall i can get just a harsh distortion if i keep push up the volume ....event the compresor i put doesnt really can handle the bass like i want to get those guys sound mix i dont know wats wrong with this soundcard....

WIndows can't find a better one than the installed LSI Conformed 1394 Hostcontroller

Read and follow the Bootcamp Installation instructions that you were offered to view when you ran Bootcamp Assistant.
Run Bootcamp Assistant again and select the option to download the Bootcamp Support software. Follow the instructions. Then boot into Windows and install the Windows Support software you downloaded and saved.

    The sound is excellent !
kpo6969, why would you wan't to install over existing drivers ?
Better to uninstall existing drivers first, then install the beta's as this?should avoid any conflicts.

  • [X-Fi Xtreme Gamer] Makes strange noises - then nothing. Beta Driver won't go away... *he

    Hi Folks
I got some Problems with my xtreme Gamer:
When I started my PC yesterday everything was fine, but after a while the sound produced some strange failures? ending in just making a horrible high noise.
I tried kinda everything I could think of (Restart, install new Beta Driver (October 7th) but nothing helped either the sound constantly was this Noise or nothing. I couldn't even see that something is playing in the Vista Sound menu. After installing the beta driver I could at least SEE that something should be playing (but only in general, not app-related) but nothing comes out my speakers.
So I tried to went back to try the latest official release (2.8) I had 2.6 before. But the Setup always tell me that I have a never Driver installed and just let me confirm some EULAs and want me to restart without installing anything. After the restart the same...
I tried to remove any Creti've Data from my system: uninstall the device in the Hardware-manager, uninstall the driver software, delete all files that could be related ti creative on any HDD and the registry, used CClenaer and Driver Cleaner Pro...
but it still tells me that i have a newer driver in stalled... (in the Hardware-Manager I got the yellow sign)
    So my questions are:
st. How do i swap this Driver off my system?
2nd. How do I get my sound working again?
My system: Vista x6, X-Fi Xtreme gamer (connected with cinch to my reciever wich works fine )

  • Nvidia Verde 304.79 Beta Driver on GE620dx

    Hi,
I've tried installing the new beta driver from nvidia, the Verde 304.79 Driver. It works fine with TSW and my GPU temps are stable, but the problem is that my integrated graphics seems switching every now and then even if it's idle (power button goes orange then blue every 20 seconds or so). Tried to play SF4 and FPS dropped so low. Anyone here experiencing this too? Thanks .

It's an nVidia driver problem. Neither one of the two new betas do anything but give me a black screen with GTX 680's in SLI. 301.42 works well. Best recommendation would be to report it to nVidia and stay with 301.42 for now.

  • SB Live 24bit external problems with windows 7 beta driver

Hi, I have a problem with my soundcard with the windows 7 beta driver. An unwanted sound come out when I'm doing something like chatting with Yahoo Messenger or buffering Youtube. I don't know what makes it like that, can you guys help me out, please
    Thank you

Maybe you could start by donating something
I'm giving you something Creative would never do, so I think I deserve it, don't you think
Doesn't matter if it is $2 or $5.
All these Vista Support Packs prove my knowledge and are true modifications, not like the current Youp Pax crappy releases from a dumb person who doesn't even know how a INF file works.

  • A retarded ape could make a better driver

I paid $80 for my x-fi titanium and getting this piece of crap to work has been a nightmare. I'm not a retarded user, have been working intimately with computers most of life. I know my crap. The hardware is fine, but the drivers for this card are frankly the work of a drugged up monkey.
Here's what I want to do: Get stereo s/pdif output working at 44.Khz and have my microphone not play through my speakers leading to ear-splitting feedback. A simple task, one would think. Not so with these drivers.
Issue the first: getting s/pdif output working at 44.Khz. Audio control panel in windows set to only use 44.Khz and 48.0Khz. For some reason, Creative does not obey this. No problem, you might say. Just change the setting in the creative audio control console. Oh wait, there's an option to force digital output rate, but it is not available. One question: WHY? Why can't I force this god forsaken piece of crap to output at the rate that I choose? Maybe my receiver doesn't support 96.0Khz output rate? Jesus, please help me change this.
On my mic: there's no option in the volume control for mic playback volume. there is no option anywhere except creative's piece of crap audio console. Except that every time I make a change, this gets reset.
I'll seriously eat my hat if anybody can tell me how to make this work. Honest to god, Creative should be embarassed at the driver support for Windows 7. This is a load of crap.

I'm suffering just as much as you and everyone else. I tried older drivers and they don't work on Windows 7 anyway. I am currently using this weird beta driver that everyone swears by. It actually gets rid of the distortion, but now two of my speakers don't make a sound (I have 5. speakers). So this beta driver obviously doesnt work well. Plus on Battlefield 242, the X-FI option can't detect my card!? What a joke!? I just emailed Creative and I'm sure tomorrow they'll give me some bogus response that they are "currently working on the issue."? I cannot believe that the biggest sound card company in the world doesn't have drivers that work properly on windows 7. It appears that everyone I know who is using an Intel chipset?board does not have this issue. It's pretty much all of us who are using boards that have the Nforce chipset. Here's some food for thought... my best friend is using an Nforce chipset board and he recently bought an X-FI Xtreme Audio card. It works beautifully in Windows 7.
Well, it turns out that the X-FI Xtreme Audio card usese a totally different Windows 7 driver than the Titanium, Platnium, Xtreme Music, and Xtreme Gamer editions. So if Creative can make a very good driver for the Xtreme Audio edition, why can't they do the same for the other ones?
!!! I was almost ready to can my Xtreme Gamer card and get an Xtreme Audio card. But I don't wanna give another dime to creative anyway.

  • Nvidia beta driver link down

The link for the nvidia beta driver has been down for the last couple of days everytime I try to download it.  http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?I … hans=&SeB=
I have found another site ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/185.18.10/ which has two links.  They look as if they are in the right format for a package to use in Arch, but will they actually work?  Also, which one would I need?  There are two - pkg0 and pkg1.run.
    Very respectfully!

Okay I think found the answer to my question from the "readme" file.
What is the significance of the pkg# suffix on the .run file?
The pkg# suffix is used to distinguish between .run files containing the same driver, but different sets of precompiled kernel interfaces. If a distribution releases a new kernel after an NVIDIA driver is released, the current NVIDIA driver can be repackaged to include a precompiled kernel interface for that newer kernel (in addition to all the precompiled kernel interfaces that were included in the previous package of the driver).
.run files with the same version number, but different pkg numbers, only differ in what precompiled kernel interfaces are included. Additionally, .run files with higher pkg numbers will contain everything the .run files with lower pkg numbers contain.
So I am assuming it doesnt matter.  Is my assumption correct.
    very respectfully!

  • How do I install the new "unified series Beta driver with OpenAL support" driver?

Hey guys, I'm going to reformat later today and I need instructions on how to install these latest drivers.
    Once I reformat, I will install Windows 2000 SP4.
When I reboot, I will insert the CD that came with my Audigy 2 and I will select "Custom Install" and I will select to install everything EXCEPT the driver.
Then when I have installed all the Creative software from the CD that came with my Audigy 2, I will reboot.
Now I will install the "unified series Beta driver with OpenAL support" driver and then reboot.
Is that the correct procedure? If not PLEASE tell me!

My game music always (now I've asked for it!!!) seems to work; have you tried disabling cthelper in your config as that seems to ?$!&^ everything up; on my system it was causing crashes and also meant my system was taking 0 minutes to shut down!
And while we're at it, maybe someone from Creative could expand on the really useful info the guys above have given (thanks guys!).
Oh yeah, one last suggestion for Creative; maybe make the installation of "cthelper" optional in the installation program and/or have a check box in the Creative config software to turn it on off with an explanation as to why people may want to do this (ie may cause problems on some systems)...

Can you provide step by step instructions as to where to find and install a driver, and what if anything needs to be done to make the system find the MC8775. Many thanks.
Did you download and install this driver:
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67955
Download and run this file which will uncompress the installation package, but it will not install the driver. Then go to the folder "C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WWANUMTS\Driver" and start "MC87xx.msi".
