Box and arrow bottom right corner, and the j, I can't find what they mean
I'm new with Aperture and finally sorting my photos. I had a lot of duplicates for some reason. Image 100 and a 100-1 and sometimes a 100-2. I deleted the -1 and -2 copies. Some photos are displayed with a small box and arrow and some also with a J in the bottom right corner. I can't find what that means.
Aperture uses Badges to indicate various things. They are part of the Metadata Overlays.
A good read of the first eight chapters of the User Manual will familiarize you with the program and the elements of the UI. It is a well-done manual. Have a look, and feel free to ask more questions. I'm providing links here because the questions are better answered there than here.

This problem only began today and only with Webkinz.com
When my daughter went to login, the new window where she logs in was in the bottom right corner. I pulled it up to the display and it stayed there. When she tried to log in again later on in the day, the login window appeared in the bottom right corner of the screen again.Open Firefox -> Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now you can Enable the Add-ons and it should be ok. Check and tell if its working. -
I bought a new iPad 2 and I was trying to create entries on the calendar application but I cannot because there is no plus sign(+) at the bottom right corner of the calendar application. Please assist?
Try going into Settings > iCloud and toggle Calendars 'off' and 'on' and see if you then get the '+'

How can I reduce the size of a photo PROPORTIONALLY? With my old Macmini I was able to place the pointer on the bottom right corner of the picture, hold down the shift key and move the pointer to achieve the desired size.
You'll need to use a 3rd party editor like one of these:
Some Image Editors That Support layers:
Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac - $79
Rainbow Painter - $30
Imagerie - $38
Acorn - $50
Pixelmator - $60
Seashore - Free
Portraits and Prints - Free
GIMP for Mac - Free
Xee 2.1 - free
My personal preference would be for Photoshop Elements for Mac. Most of these will let you select and copy a head from one photo, paste it into another photo, resize and place where you need it.
PSE has a specific feature just for that function. I belive the Adobe site for PSE has a demo video of that feature.

FF 7.0.1 on MacOSX 10.6.8 (not this machine!): I sometimes get the "unresponsive script" dialog box jammed into the top left corner of the screen so that only a quarter of it is visible.
Is there a way of re-centring the dialog box (in particular, when its top edge is off the screen)?
Thanks! There is no way to preserve view preferences.Just remember or annotate the zoom % used in the package.
You may want to open an MS Connect item asking to add such a feature.
I can tell you it may not be implemented because a package may be opened on different size monitors.

The note add on I am looking for was designated by a square in the right hand corner. It had all my doctors phone numbers and appointments etc., and I have lost the lot since the upgrade. The other thing is I can remember the name of add on, all I can remember is Firefox asked me to install it, I didn't go looking for it.
HI nibar7,
Thank you for your question, I understand that there was an add on that you had in the right hand corner that is no longer there after an update in Firefox. Please try [[Re-enable add-ons that were disabled when updating Firefox]] to see if the add on is still installed, but not longer active.
However if this add on was not compatible with the new update, it is removed in the update process. Please check to see if you have a back up of the profile from before the update. -
The little "i" in the bottom right corner has disappeared
In itunes 11 I no longer can do a quick look preview of an album or app by clicking in the small "i" in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Where did it go? Is this an Apple removal or is my computer not working correctly?

Flickering tooltip in bottom right corner
I implemented a custom tooltip using the IToolTip interface
and DataGrid. This worked well, but the problem is that when the
tooltip tries to popup in the bottom right corner of the window it
gets into a loop where it appears and disappears (the cursor is
over the DataGrid when it appears). Does anyone have any ideas
about why this is happening?
My goal is to have a tooltip that displays some data with
Name/Value pairs in two columns. If anyone has any alternate
implementation ideas please let me know."aperitech" <[email protected]> wrote in

Not sure how much it matters, but try creating the child in
createChildren
and setting its properties in commitProperties(), also try
setActualSize()
instead of width and height. You also may want to inspect the
Framework
ToolTip code to see if it has special handling for this.

I successfully deleted a user from my MacBook through the Users and Groups window in System Preferences. But now I cannot close the lock in the bottom left corner of the box. When I click on it, I briefly see a word that I think says "reauthorizing" but the word flashes too quickly to tell for sure.
If you are admin.
Try restarting your Mac. -
In the lower right corner of the window there is a column of little white boxes. Right over the column is "9.8". What is this and how do I get rid of it?
Please provide a screen shot of that issue.

My camera is already running from the lockscreen, the camera icon is displayed in the lower right corner and when I swipe up the control center it brings up the camera first. If I swipe up again I get the control center. How do I stop the camera from staying on and coming up first?
I thought the feature was for it to be available for me to use, not to swipe up and have the camera already going. The control panel is not coming up first, it is the camera. In order to get to the control panel I have to swipe up again and the camera is still going. Annoyingly, I have had to disable the camera from the control panel so it isn't coming up first, and now it is unavailable to use quickly.

Recently my iPhone has displayed a padlock with an arrow surrounding it in the upper right corner and it seems that I can't view photos or text messages sideways. When you turn the phone sideways it does not change to view it in that setting. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.
JohnLock the screen in portrait orientation: Double-click the Home button , flick the bottom of the
screen from left to right, then tap
The portrait orientation lock icon
appears in the status bar when the screen orientation is locked.
