hai,
I want to put a box in smartfrom i.e in each of the word below i want to put a box above sales man and manager and put balack colour as border how to do this?

for this create the template in the above layout
And borders off(left,rgiht & bottom ) for the lower cells

Hi,
1)
Create a style in the smartforms transaction..
IN that style create a character format..
IN the character format..in the font tab..There is a check box for underlined.
2)
Now go to the smartforms
Go to the text ..
IN the output options give the style that you created..
In the text use the character format that you created for underline.
Example
<Z4>UNDERLINE</>.
Where Z4 is the character format.

   can any one please let me know if i can put a tick mark in the check box of the smartform.
   for example: i need to select one among yes or no check box. how do i do it.
   should i have to upload a graphic of the tick mark and then display or is there any provision in smartforms to do that.

Hi All,
I have to create a box in smartform.
I have used the the Box command but it is not working. Are there any parameters or conditions that need to be specified for using a box command?
If we can not use a box command, then how can we create a box in smartforms?

Hi Andreas,
The form I am trying to design is an instruction form for a driver.
Basically it lists the drivers instructions for the day, then has boxes where the driver can fill in vehicle registration, start kilometers and end kilometers.
There is also then a place where the customer can tick a box if he was happy with the service, or enter comments into a box if he was not happy with the service.
The problem is that the driver instructions can be any length, so I cannot place these boxes at a specific place on the page. This is what I originally did, but the client does not want to see a big empty space if the instructions are really short.
Thanks for your help. I would be interested to here of a solutions, but if it is quite complicated, don't worry about it as I am sure it can be done with a sapcript instead.

You can find so many stuffs here as vinod said.
If I explain more additionaly,
In your smartforms, you can find small icon for 'TXT Editor' and then you could find symbols here,
Inclue -> Characters -> SAP Symbols.
In symbols, you may find 'SYM_CHECKBOX' for checked one, and the other 'SYM_LARGE_SQUARE'.
looks like somepeole says it doesn't work in some cases, at that case, you can use [X] ,[ ] instead.

u can create a dotted line...since u had used a template...
in text before displaying that text use the code SY-uline for horizontal line
SY-VLINE for vertical line...
this will give u a dotted line...

Hi Shashi,
You can't directly print a checkbox as such in a smartform. But, there is a workaround.
Create two GraphicElements (for checked / unchecked). Assigned images to (for tick and untick) them.
In the conditions tab of GraphicElement enter conditions -
1. for checked - field = 'X'
2. for unchecked - field = ' '
To add images of tick and untick to system, Use transaction SO73.

If u have to create the box inside a template like this

You divide your template according to your requirement.
Inside the Table Painter, click those lines which you need to show as continuous lines

Printing double line / small box residing in main box - Invoice smartform

Hi,
I have 2 Invoice smartforms, meant for Country_A and Country_B. We r on ECC 6.00
Country_A is printing fine.
But, when comes to Country_B, in ITEM table, the header box, (where column labels are printed), one more box is printing!! it looks like (not exactly) instead of single line ________ its printing ======, so, pls. let me know, Wht culd be the reason?

Box inside another box in SMARTFORM for hierarchical item data printing

Hi All,
I need to put a <b>box inside another box</b> and <b>both the boxes need to be bordered</b>. There are 2 levels of main data to be printed in the 2 boxes. Header data will be printed in the outer box and corresponding to each header row a number of line items will be printed in the inner box.
There will be multiple numbers of headers as per requirement. How can this feature be implemented in SMARTFORM / SAP-script?

You can try using a combination of variable window and main window to achieve what you are lookoing for.
You will have to use Main window instances such a way similar to newspaper printing.

Looping Address and Main Box in Smartforms

Hi,
In smartforms...
I have a box to print address and after that next box(MAIN) for line item details.
My requirement is - I need to loop these 2 boxes..
Example
I have internal table with 9 records - which has 3 different address each having 3 line items
Then I need to display something like this...
address 1 -
Line items details - 1
Line items details - 2
Line items details - 3
Address 2 -
Line items details - 4
Line items details - 5
Line items details - 6
Address 3 -
Line items details - 7
Line items details - 8
Line items details - 9

What does BOX meam? Is it a template?
You can create another internal table with the address, so you can loop the table with the item nested into the loop of the table with address:
LOOP AT T_ADDRESS.
------->Print Address data
LOOP AT T_ITEM WHERE ADDRESS = T_ADRESS.
--------> Print Item data

Insert->Characters->SAP symbols->SYM_CHECKBOX
But in second method you cannot see checkbox in print preview.Check out whether you are getting it in printer.

Dynamic box in smartforms

hello gurus,
i have to populate dynamic boxes this is the scenario any ideas...i mean how can i put this in smartform way...

Use tables .
right Click->create->tabels
In data tab , in loop to
give the name of the internal table and work area
as : it_ekpo into is_ekpo
In tables tab click details button
Under line type 1 specify the size for each row of the table.
The toal size of all the columns should not exceed the total window width .
In the same line as details u can see the lines and boxes . using that u can fill the borders of the cell with lines . Click on the cell and select the appropriate line . When u display the line will be displayed as the border of the cell .
Save chek activate
Right click on main area and click tabline.
Under line type specify the line type created in table .
Then in each cell right click and create text . and put variable as
&is_abc-ebeln&.
