Box run through XBOX One won't register.
Hi - I replaced all three of my old HD Desktop boxes with X-1 and two of the three work fine. The one in my office is split with the Cable Modem (Internet) and then run through an XBOX One. This cable box will not register. I swapped with the one in the Bedroom, the box works fine there, but the one that was in the Bedroom will not come online now either.
Good catch Andrew. acwilli It would appear you have signal issues that need to be addressed. My suggestion would be to worry about the signal issues first, then worry about the XBox 1.
If you don't address the signal issues it will impact normal TV watching, not to mention the XBox 1 situation.
ComcastAndrew wrote:
Your moca is fine but you have significant signal issues on both your X1 dvr and your modem ( the signal levels for Xi3 can't be seen remotely)
Dvr
Upstream 57
Downstream-9
Modem ( same room as non working Xi3)
Upstream 54
Downstream -15
Take a look at how your cable is ran, reduce any/all unnecessary splitters to gain signal strength. The levels above might have been okay for the previous legacy equipment but not for the X1 platform. If you don't get it fixed you'll just keep having issues.

OS X Delay over HDMI rougted through Xbox One (no delay using Windows)
I have my Mac Mini (late 2012, OS X 10.8.5) connected via HDMI to my Xbox One, which is connected to my tv via HDMI. I have been experience a very annoying lag, especially noticeable when using my trackpad. There is a noticeable delay between my trackpad input and the movement of the cursor on my tv. At first, I thought this was due to the signal being routed through the Xbox, considering the fact that I never experienced any delay prior to routing through the Xbox One. I just assumed the Xbox was causing the slight delay. However, I have a Windows partition which I hardly ever use. Today, I booted into Windows for the first time since I've been routing through the Xbox. To my surprise, there was no delay whatsoever. My cursor moved perfectly in time with my trackpad input. Now that I've booted back into OS X, I'm experiencing the delay again. The Xbox does seem to be introducing the problem, as the delay is gone when I connect my Mac Mini directly to my tv, bypassing the Xbox. Why would there be a delay introduced to OS X when there is absolutely no delay on Windows 7? Is there something I can do to fix this? Is there some sort of preference that I can change in OS X to reduce this delay? I know the Xbox is introducing the problem, but it doesn't really seem to be the cause, and I can't help but think that it can be fixed since the Xbox isn't causing the problem with Windows running on the same computer.
I know that I could just bypass the Xbox, but I don't want to do that. I'm aware that this would fix the probem, but it would be very inconvenient. Also, that doesn't really solve the problem, it just ignores it. Whatever the cause of the delay, it appears to be unique to OS X, not caused solely by the Xbox.try another smtp relay service...
in either case, you may want to setup an SPF record for your domain which specifies the relay service is authorized to send mail for your domain.

I want to be able to use only one instance of Pod Farm for my guitars, and have all of my guitar tracks run through it while I'm recording.
What he said. Or here is a similar approach with a picture.
1. Press the SEND button on every stereo (or mono) guitar track you want to send through the effect. Then select a free bus.
2. Make sure you turn up the amount of send (in db). Holding alt while leftclicking on this circle sets the send level to 0 db wich is good.
3. Open the mixer (Cmd+2). Please see that I here have turned the output off from the stereo guitar track. That way the only output will be the BUS, in your case the AmpTrack bus where all your guitars will pass through. If you want both the original guitar sound AND the Ampfarm effect then just set all outputs on your guitar tracks to Stereo Out, like the AmpF Bus track is set in my picture.
4. Insert your AmpFarm plugin here. I don´t have that plug so I inserted Waves Renes Axe for demo purpose.
Adjust the volume/effect of every guitartrack by turning the circle input shown as 2. in my picture.
I now see that you mentioned Pod Farm, not AmpFarm. But I guess it´s the same trick.
Have fun.
Heyclown.

Video sound to TV won't run through headphones
Hi,
I have my stereo and TV hooked up to a MacMini (the 2009 slim metal one with the optical drive). I have a headphone splitter attched to the headphones jack going to the TV and the stereo. The Mini is hooked up to the TV with a mini DP connector to a DVI-to-HDMI cable (but this same thing happens with a regular DVI cable). With my old 2,1 Mini that was fine since everything ran through the headphones.
Now I want to do the same thing but iTunes I can't get the video to run through the headphones. The only way I get sound to the TV is to run it through the HDMI output (even when using the mini DP). But then I have to manually change the sound output.
Is it possible to either:
1. Have iTunes run out the headphones jack and everything else run out the HDMI? or
2. Have everything run out the headphones output?Info to add:
When any digital video is plugged into the Mini, the video sound only works when it's set to HDMI.
To get sound to my stereo I have to switch it to headphones. Even though I have a connector going from the headphone jack to the DVI audio input on my TV, there's no sound in headphone mode.
I tried an external USB sound card and had the same problem. Just instead of headphones it was the USB soundcard.
Maybe it's my TV... -
Can I play my xbox one through my Toshiba laptop?
can I play my xbox one through my Toshiba Laptop I have windows 8. I tried connecting my xbox one to my laptop through a HDMI cable and no picture came up on my laptop screen for my xbox one. wondering how to make this work.
would appreciate help on how to do this thanks.Hi
As far as I know something like this is not possible. HDMI port is for signal output only. You cannot send audio and video signal into your notebook using HDMI port and use internal display for external devices. -
Should Apple TV run through a cable box then into the TV?
I totally hooked up ATV to my TV. Tried everything and it does not appear on the screen in any TV outputs. Should it be run through the cable box to the TV?
You gave me a suggestion, indirectly, when you mentioned the HDMI ports. I should have orginally checked the TV! My son said "what if the TV has those ports blocked?" So I went into the settings on the TV and found that 3 out of the 7 settings were blocked. I toggled those setting to unblock them and behold it works like a charm. Initially I was laying all the blame on the Apple TV. I never thought about the TV setting. I use cabeling for my HD since I already had the cables and never have used HDMI on the set. Sometimes using common sense prevails. Thanks for giving me the path... sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. LOL

My new Macbook Pro 13" won't register properly on our school's projectors when I try to run PPT (Epson EB510)! Instead, colored bars go across the screen against a black background. No matter how much I try to adjust the displays, PPT won't show on it. However, my friend's Macbook Air works fine. She's 10.7.2, I'm 10.7.4, so we're both more or less OS X Lion. What could be wrong? Can I do anything to fix it?
Make sure that your display is not mirrored. Mirroring forces you into "lowest common denominator" screen resolutions that can safely be displayed on BOTH screens, which may not be good enough for the projector.
When you turn off Mirroring, you get Extended Desktop, where the two screens are joined along an edge to form a larger Extended Desktop. To use this, drag a window onto the "other" screen. -

One music track running through all pages on iWeb
Any tips on how to have one music track playing all the way through a site?
Obviously I can get a track running constantly on one page and starting automatically on opening, but struggling to know how to get the same effect across the whole site.
Thanks!Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can do it with an HTML snippet and IFrame code like I did in this test site: Helper Site. The darker area is the page with the music and the HTML snippet which embeds the other pages into the first page.

can I delete an album from my computer and re-download from my purchases? I bought an album and some of the songs only play partof the way through and some won't play at all. One of them says this computer is not authorized to play this trac.
Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to restart iTunes. While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Xbox One Strict NAT won't switch to Open
Linksys Model: Linksys EA6350-4A
I have set up a DMZ with the correct settings, reset both my cable, linksys, and xbox, yet it still shows up as strict. When I tried port forwarding, my wiFi goes to ****, and my xbox still stays on strict. I would appreciate some help with this as I have already reset my router (which I just bought two days ago) to factory settings about 4 different times already.
EDIT: This is also on a WIRED connection to the Xbox.Your ISP modem has NAT so your in a double NAT condition which isn't recommended:http://na.smc.com/products/residential/voice/smcd3gnv/ If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ. Be sure to disable all other filters and firewalls on the ISP modem. Configure the 6350 router for Port Range Triggering :https://community.linksys.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/Open-NAT-problems-with-Xbox-One/td-p/944929/page/2 Setup a reserved IP address for the xbox at 192.168.1.199 on the router then reboot the router. Performe a Network Setting Factorty reset on the xbox. Turn Off the xbox then back on then chk NAT status. You should get OPEN, however if the ISP modem is doing any processing then you could see moderate...

Unable to Connect to Xbox Live on Xbox One due to ...
I have been on the phone for a few hours this afternoon trying to get this sorted and the conclusion of my last call to BT was that I needed to register on a tech experts website? Put simply, I need to open a list of seven ports that are listed here:
http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live
in ordder to be able to connect to Xbox Live with my Xbox One, this is an issue I have had since upgrading to infinity.
Can somebody do it for me, I have the IP address of my Xbox One, or can somebosy point me in the right direction?
It seems to be taking a very long time to get sorted.
Thanks in advance.Think I can help here.
First of all I assume that you have disabled UPNP on the hub? If you havent yet then you have two choices:
You can disconnect the Xbox One and 360 from the network, perform a full factory reset of the hub and then immediately disable UPNP before doing anything else, or..
Disable UPNP and wait a good few hours (I'm talking overnight here) before reconnecting the XBox One and 360 and trying again.
When UPNP is enabled and the XBoxes are using the network it will write rules on the fly to the NAT table, you probably won't be able to apply port forwarding rules to a device for those ports because the Hub can see that they're already in the NAT table. They will eventually expire but this can take some time. When you disable UPNP, these rules don't seem to be removed as you might expect.
Next, you definitely don't need to forward ports 80 or 53, these are allowed by the hub automatically and traffic for each will be correctly forwarded to whatever device by the hub. You shouldn't need to open 88 either.
You have an XB One and a 360 and they both can't share the same port, that being 3074. However, if the 360 is using 3074 you can forward 3076 to the XB One instead, or vice versa.
When you've applied all of your port forwarding rules run the XBox network test repeatedly until it gives you an open NAT, a maximum of six times should do it, and you may want to do this every time you turn on an XBox. I've previously posted about why I think you have to do this sometimes with the BT Home Hubs.
If you're still not getting an Open Nat, turn off the XBox and unplug any powerline adapters on its chain for 5 minutes, then reconnect the adapters in sequence from the hub and try again. -

</device>Hello,
I'm facing exactly the same problem, that is:
a Cisco SIP Phone 9971 won't register on CME 8.6 running on a 2811
I have read all the postings to this Forum, but I have not been able to solve it.
In my case the commands voice register dn and voice register pool are OK.
So frankly, I have no idea what I could be missing.
I'm pasting the Router's config.
I hope somebody is able to point me in the right direction.
Here is the config. Thank you!
