Boxes haunt my display

i have bold boxes that linger in my active applications, often around selected fields, but sometimes completely random in placement. around the same time this started happening, i had multiple restart. shut down and log in options appear under the apple menu. i also seem to be getting kicked off the network regularly. are these related? if so, what is it?

Imagine that, no Mac support. You were wise to turn here.
I am pretty sure the boxes are related to your graphics card. I run a dual-monitor setup and every once in a while some strange artifacts, like copies of dragged windows, persist on my display.
If you can find the original install disks there is a program called Apple Hardware Test that you can run to do a basic test on the graphics card. I suggest running it a few times.
What is the problem with dropping off line?

Edit Photo dialog box will not display

When I select edit in CS5 my file goes straight to CS5 and my edit in the dialog box will not display. I have no way to oprn with a copy or etc with out the edit dialalog box.
Iam using LR 4 latest version I must have changed some thing no realizing . Everthing was fine until a while ago.
All the NEF files that were recently imported are the ones that the dialog box will not show the TIF files the dialog box will show.
When these files were ompoterted all the history does not show in the module just the import. Did I import wrong causing all the history not to show??

Hi Dick,
That sounds like normal behaviour with Raw files to me. They usually go straight through the Camera Raw pipeline into Photoshop. Rendered files like Tiff and Jpeg have the Original/Copy/Lightroom Adjustments dialog.
I'm not sure what you mean by History because on Import, there is only one history state: Import.

Source monitor and program monitor boxes will not display video in full only half

I have adobe premiere pro cs6 and source monitor and program monitor boxes will not display video in full only half. So the top half of both monitors are black and the bottom half is where the video displays. But you can see that the video is missing the top part. Like people's heads are cut off and can only see body. How can i fix this so premiere pro cs6 will use the full monitors boxes to display my video?

I have a black dialog box on my display that I cannot get rid of. It displays text of whatever I am in, apps, docs, etc, and I have been unable to get rid of it.

It sounds like you may have the Picture-in-Picture Zoom option enabled. Take a look at the article below for more information as well as how to disable it.

Settings Manager box does not display

I recently uninstalled flash player and installed the latest version. Although flash player works fine, the Settings Manager box does not display. I only have this problem on Firefox 3.6.10, it works fine on IE 8. I am running Windows XP 32 bit.

I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling. I have also tried disabling AV and firewall.
Although I cannot see the SM box, I can right click on the white space to access the local settings. Turning off hardware accelleration did not help.
I have also checked for updated display drivers, none available.

I can't really help, just want you to know you're not the only one with this problem. Just saw another thread with the same.. and well.. got the problem here as well.

Hi!
Decorative box component does not have "own" icno in Component palette (it uses generic tag <<>> icon). So, I would suspect that this comp is not finished yet with TP4 release. Thus, don't be supprised if it don't respect all skinning properties well.

How do you get different check box fields to display based upon a list box selection?

I am a relative newbie with LifeCycle Designer ES using v.8.2.1 to create interactive forms to replace manual hardcopies. I am working on a form that has a few pull down list boxes. I want different check box fields to display based upon the selection of an item from one of the pull down lists.
Any guidance on the best way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a sample with script in the change event of the dropdown. You may want to clear previous checkbox choices once the subform is hidden.
It is good to group objects in a subform - that way you only need to hide the subform and not each object in turn.

Text box does not display the date??

I have a text box <input type="TEXT" name="invoiceDate" readonly></input>. I select the date using datepicker .The date gets displayed in the text box.Then i click on "Show" button which loads the same jsp page again.
When the page is loaded the text box does not show the date.
I try to save the date in the text box as

The value is saved in this hidden variable..

Its a hidden field and that's why it isnt displayed.
Use
<input type="text" name="date1" value="<%=date1 %>"> ram.

Crystal Reports Image box does not display images.

i have CR report which has a Imagebox to display images from db table. i am storing the images in a table as path. in my dev machine when i load the .aspx page with the crystal report it shows the image in the box but when i run it from the web server the image does not show.
even from the .rpt file i get the image and all data.
anyone know how can i get this working?
the images are stored in a mapped network drive and the version of cr is XI R2.

How to create a group/list of check box variables for display in text field, in appended format

I need to identify a series of single-response checkbox variables and display the ones selected (as a group) in a text field in an appended (comma, space) format. Last week, you provided a great little script for a similar need using List Box (multiple response) variables. This time I need to know how to formally identify the checkbox variables and, I presume, use a similar script to display the results in a comma, space format.

Here's the script adapted to this situation. It assumes there are ten check boxes named cb1, cb1, cb2, ...cb10.

You'll have to change the field name and starting/ending numbers to match your form.

Some fields in text box are being displayed multiple times

I am getting a strange error in Crystal Reports.
It is displaying a particular field multiple times while the query returns a single row.
I have used a text box in which I have dragged and dropped that field.
The version used to design the reports is Crystal Reports XI while client is having Crystal Reports 11.5.

1- I am using SQL queries ,not tables.
2- The field is in page header for one report and in group header for the other one.
3- If i grag and drop simply,then it shows correct result,i.e. a single record.
e.g i am displaying a customer name with title.
Like Mr XYZ(page header,query is returning a single row).
and it is being displayed as

Framed text box will not display on top layer of overlay

I am trying to place a framed photo and a frame text box over a layer. I have done this many times with no problem. Now, only the photo and its frame will overlay. The frame of the text frame displays but not the text. Only a place cursor is visible.

Check for text wrap on the other objects or alternatively, right click
the text frame and choose text frame options. Enable ignore text wrap.

Disabled combo boxes don't display properly after loading a movie.

Hi,
I have a main movie that contains some combo boxes. Some of them may be disabled.
By pressing a button I load another movie using loadMovie. The loaded movie also contains combo boxes.
When the button is pressed, the clip that shows the combo boxes is removed from the stage and the loaded movie is displayed. By pressing another button, the loaded movie is unloaded and the clip with the combo boxes is displayed again.
Well, once the other movie has been loaded, when I go back to the clip with combo boxes, the disabled combo boxes have a small gray button covering the black down arrow.
I have determined that so long as the loaded movie contains combo box in the library, the problem occurrs, even if there is no actual instance of it.
The combo boxes that are not disabled are not affected. The combo boxes are disabled by setting "cb_name.enabled=false".
If the combo box is enabled, it displays correctly, but if disabled again, it goes wrong again.
My project is targeting Flash 8, so it uses AS2.
I'm using Flash CS4.
This is a very simple example I did to make sure I wasn't doing anything funny:

Container is a movieClip with a dark gray square shape the size of the movie clip that is loaded. It doesn't exist on frame 1, only on frame 2.
The combo boxes are inside a movie clip, and this is only on the stage on frame 1.
This and the captures belong to a very simple test I did. If there is a way of posting files, I can post a zip file with the two .fla and the two .swf.
