BOXI 3.1 Fix Pack 1.3

We had BOXI R2 SP2 installed and created a number of web intelligence reports. We then started using Xcelsius 2008 and found that there is a 'refresh' problem with Xcelsius that is apparently resolved by upgrading to BOXI 3.1.Therefore we have attempted to upgrade to BOXI 3.1 and have installed fix pack 1.3.
We are now encountering difficulties with the web intelligence reports we set up using XI R2 as it appears version 3.1 generates the sql in a different way from version 2. So I have two questions :
-Does BOXI 3.1 fix pack 1.3 include the fixes in fix packs 1.1 &1.2 (I cannot find the issues fixed document on the website)?
- Am I able to use web intelligence reports created in BOXI R2 in BOXI R3.1 ? If so, do I have to change some paramenters (previously we had to change the SQLSRV.PRM file to get the outer joins to work in BOXI R2)?

Yes to first question. All Fix Packs and Service packs are commulative.
I'd say yes to the second one. But I guess it'll be dependent on the report design. If your reports no longer works - open an Incident, so it can be investigated.

I see Fix Pack for the following Server Type -
AIX 32bit
HP-UX on IA64 64bit
HP-UX on PA-RISC 32bit
Linux on IA32 32bit
Solaris on SPARC 32bit
Windows Server on IA32 32bit
Where can I find the fix pack for Windows 64 bit?
Also, is it mandatory to install the previous fix pack or can I directly apply 1.3 on XI 3.1?

How can I confirm that I installed BO XI R2 SP3 and Fix Pack 3.5 correctly?

I installed both SP3 (Client Install) and Fix Pack 3.5 (Client Install) on my workstation. The Installation guide says it should appear in Add/Remove Programs, but I'm not seeing either entry. A log file was created for each install, is there anything within the logs that may say that the install was successful?

Under the Add/Remove programs section in the Control Panel. Select the Business Objects Application and there is a link that reads "Click here for support information"
The opened display box will display a Version such as 11.5.xxxxxx
Reply back w/ the version. SP# and 3.5 fix pack will be something like 11.5.9.1176

QAAWS does not work after upgrade to SP1 Fix Pack 3

Hello experts,
I have Xcelsius 2008 Ver 5.00.99 Build 12,1,0,247
Today it was upgraded to SP1 Fix Pack 3 due to some issues with the Excel Formulas - it didn't help to resolve the issue with the showing Formulas in preview and I also discovered the QAAWS not working - either new generated connection or old ones causing the "Unable to load URL error" when I try to load the WSDL.
Please give me any suggestion what can I try wrt this QAAWS issue.

I have the same view.
In BOXI R2 if you took the the URL and pasted it into internet explorer you would see the WSDL. In BOXI 3.1 this does not occur. A list of newly define queries, or queries that have been re-run in BOXI 3.1 are displayed. The list contains links, but navigating using these links does not display the WSDL.
I am not sure if not being able to see the WSDL is causing my problem but it would explain the 'null' error. I can also see that QAAWS now creates the URLs with a new format when compared to the BOXI R2 URLs, may be this is causing the problem?

Siebel 8.0.0.12 Fix Pack; Unable to get the seed from binary file.

Hello Folks,
Can anyone throw some light into what action is required on my scenario.
I have applied Fix Pack Siebel 8.0.0.12 on top of 8.0.0.11 SBA. After it is appled, I am facing a documented issue within the Release Notes for the 8.0.0.12 Fix Pack
The issue is "UNABLE TO LAUNCH URL AFTER APPLYING SIEBEL 8.0.0.12". I tried the steps given with the MR document, however, I am still having this issue.
I am also not sure what is expected at the step of; Run the following command: seedgeneratorutil myseed.dat abcdef .
It's asking me for a value to enter for seed at command prompt. "Enter the seed":
what I should give here. As an assumption values,I gave SADMIN and tried to launch but still shows up the same error

**Users are unable to launch the URL after applying the Siebel 8.0.0.12 Fix Pack.
**Use the following workaround to address this issue:
Navigate to the eappweb/bin directory from the command line on the SWSE installation.
Run the following command:
seedgeneratorutil myseed.dat abcdef
NOTE: In the example, myseed.dat is a filename. You can give any file name you wish.
The myseed.dat file is generated in the eappweb/bin directory.
Edit eapps.cfg to include the following parameters under the SWE section:
seedfile = < complete path for myseed.dat >
Bounce the web server.
(For Linux only) Copy libmod_swe.so from the eappweb/bin folder to the web/ohs/modules folder

Crystal 2008 Fix Pack 1.2 Changes?

I have 2 questions.
1) What has changed in Crystal Reports Fix Pack 1.2 (Posted 01-13-2009)?
2) Is there a mailing list or RSS feed or something I can sign up to so that I am notified when a new HotFix / Service Pack is released for Crystal Reports 2008?

I did as you instructed but my problem is still unresolved...
I downloaded 'cr2008sp1_fp12.exe' from the [Business Objects Download Page|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm]
I ran the application and browsed to where the files were extracted in my case (C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\package)
After investigating all the files I was unable to find a 'ReadMe' file.
Here is a summary of what I did find:
1) CrystalReports.msp
2) license_xx.xxx (License files in many different languages and in TXT, RTF and PDF)
3) What appears to be 'localized' versions of the same 'CrystalReports.msp' file
If anyone can give me a specific list of what is changed I would really appreciate it.

BO XIR 3.1 Edge- Problem installing Fix Pack 1.1

I am trying to install Fix Pack 1.1 for XIR3.1 Edge.
The BO installation is installed on c:\businessobjects
When asked for Server Instance and Service Name:
SERVER INSTANCE = Server name
SERVICE NAME = defaults to TomCat55
However, I get this error. Where am I going wrong?

Report Selection Formula Error with Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Fix Pack 3.5

My name is Carlos, and I would like to report a defect found in the Crystal Reports 2008 SP 3 Fix Pack 3.5 Runtime that is affecting the majority of our reports. As well, I would like to ask if there is a simple workaround that does not involve updating hundreds of reports.
The issue is that the runtime engine incorrectly returns the report selection formula. I have included sample code showing what I mean.
To reproduce;
1. Create a simple report that has a date range filter like:
({Orders.Order_Date} >= {?START_DATE})
AND ({Orders.Order_Date} <= {?END_DATE})
2. Create a test app as follow that loads a report using the following code:

At this stage, the screen shows

The expected value is:
ReportSelectionFormula:

If we were to repeat the same test above but use the Crystal Reports 2003 SP3 runtime (i.e. no Fix Pack), which can be dowloaded from [https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100007123592010E/cr2008sp3_redist.zip], we would get the correct report selection formula. A side-effect for this incorrect report selection formula is a runtime exception complaining about an errorkind and a boolean being expected.
Do you know if there is any workaround that I can apply in code, perhaps a different Fix Pack? Is there a Fix Pack expected to be released soon? It is not practical for us to update our reports and use a different style in the record selection formula because we have many such reports, and our customers probably have even more.
