BOXI DS Designer - Drag-n-Drop Data Integrator - Date_Generation fails

Hi All,
New to this product, so may have installed this incorrectly on my local PC.
Pc Config, Windows XP, MySQL, Boxi Data Services 3.2 all components, Data Cleansing Package 3.1.
When running through the tutorial I am unable to drag-and-drop the Date_Generation component of the Data Integrator to the Data Flow.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
David Cooper

Found the error.  ME using the wrond object to drop the item onto.

  • Drag and drop data object  not working in jdev 11.1.1.7

I am trying to do quote process lab and faced this issue.
When defining the user task parameter in jdev 11.1.1.7 i am not able to drag and drop the data object in parameter list section.

Infact i am trying to create a simple BPMN projoect but it doesn't allow the data object to be drag and dropped in the parameter list.
This same thing was working fine for me in Jdev 11.1.1.6,Is there a bug in jdeve 11.1.1.7 ? Has anyone tested with the latest release?

While there can be many causes for this generic error message, in my case the first parameter or ddwrt:DataBind function inside the SharePoint:FormFields element was
'i' and I was working with an Edit Form. Changing it to
'u' as it was with every other FormField fixed the issue.
    <SharePoint:FormField runat="server" id="ff1{$Pos}" ControlMode="Edit" FieldName="Esittaja" __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('u',concat('ff1',$Pos),'Value','ValueChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(@ID)),'@Esittaja')}"
    />
    Explanation:
DataBind operation type parameters (the first parameter) are listed below:
    'i' stands for INSERT,
    'u' stands for UPDATE,
    'd' stands for DELETE.

    Hi Satya,
I have done it for you ...please copy the below whole code and try to run the application. You can see the application working for you.
You have done two mistakes --- you have added the event listeners on this object........but this refers to current object(i.e; your main application file but not TextInput).
So you need to addEventListeners for your textinput "t1" but not to this...
If you add the listeners on this then in your "acceptDrop" and "handleDrop" functions you will get the "dragEvent.currentTarget" as your main app but not TextInput(Since you have added listeners to "this "). If you addListeners on t1 then its correct.
Also you need to add the eventListeners for the newly added textboxes as I done in "box_addChild" function in below code.
Also in the handleDrop function the line of code where you are assigning the text is wrong ......it should be the below code...
    TextInput(dragEvent.currentTarget).text=items[0].JobName;
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"   width="100%"  height="100%" creationComplete="init()">

  • Drag and Drop backup copy of data to external Lacie problems.  Mavericks

Trouble with Drag and Drop copies to external Lacie drive has gone from bad to worse.  Mac CPU Senior advisor was stumped after 4 hours.  It's been bucked up to the engineers.  Do you have any ideas? First, Time Machine/Time Capsule to the newest Mac airport extreme is working fine.  This drag and drop problem started mid 10.8.  Came up with some work arounds.  It's worse with 10.9.  When I drag and drop data folders (Current IMac, Mavericks, thunderbolt to current Lacie 4tb) the copy starts ok, but randomly stops with the following window.
I'm then unable to complete to drag and drop from the source folder to the Target folder on the Lacie external.   Occassionally if I retry, I get a window allowing "merge" of source and target.   This works, but merge isn't offered with every folder.
.DS_Store files are hidden and in every folder as we know.  They are supposed to be "ignored" when transferring data.  They are for the most part, but randomly stop the copy of a folder.  Any thoughts?
thanks alot...can you beat Apple engineers to the answer?  I'm still trying work arounds

    Hi, Rich -
So it wouldn't be an easy and fast way to make a bootable backup of the internal HD?
As a matter of fact, it is an easy way to do that. I do it all the time.
    There is a trick, though...
When a volume (volume = an unpartitioned drive, or a partition of a partitioned one) is dragged to another volume, Finder will copy the whole thing to the destination drive, placing everything in a new folder on the destination drive; that folder will be named the same as the original (source) drive.
An OS 9 System Folder works best when it is at the root level of a volume. This means that after the copying is done, the System Folder should be moved out of the folder created on the destination drive. It is best to also move the Applications (Mac OS 9) and Documents folders out to the root level of the drive.
A few aliases may need to be fixed - the pathname to the original for a copied alias will still point to the original original, the one on the source drive, rather than to an original on the destination drive. Ones that may need fixing are - the one for Sherlock in the Apple menu (it can be found in the Apple Menu Items folder in System Folder); and perhaps a few in the Application Support folder in System Folder.
You will see a couple of additional folders in the new folder on the destination drive - one named Desktop, the other Trash. These will contain copies of items left lying on the desktop, and anything left unflushed in the Trash at the time of the copy process.

  • Must click then click and drag for JTable Drag and Drop

    Hi All,
I've been using Java 1.4 to drag and drop data between two tables in our application. Basically I need to drag the data from individual rows of the source table and insert it into one of the cells in the new table. This works absolutely fine and has made a huge improvement to this portion of our app. I've included example source code below that does a similar thing by transferring data from one table and inserting it into another (it's quite big and also not as well done as the example in our real app but unfortunately I can't send the source for that).
The thing I've noticed though is that in order to start dragging data I need to click to select it and then press and hold the mouse button to start dragging, whereas under W**dows and just about every other OS you can just press and hold and start dragging straight away. If you try this with a JTable though it just changes the rows you have selected so the drag and drop works but feels a bit clunky and amateurish. I'd like to do something about this such that it works like Windows Explorer (or similar) where you can just press the mouse button and start dragging.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - and if anybody finds the code useful you're more than welcome to it. Note that the business end of this is CustomTransferHandler.java - this will show you how to insert data at a specific position in a JTable, it's a bit of a faff but not too bad once you've got it sussed.
    Thanks,
    Bart Read

    Hi again,
Well I've tried using the MouseListener / MouseMotionListener approach but it doesn't quite seem to work, although it does get the events correctly. I think the reason is that it doesn't interact correctly with the Java DnD machinery which is something that V.V hinted at. It's something that I may need to look into if / when I have more time available.
I have to say though that I haven't had any problems with scrollbars - we're making fairly heavy use of large tables and if you drag over a table with a scroll bar and move to the top or bottom then it scrolls as you would expect and allows you to drop the data where you like. For this situation I've used pretty much the same approach as for the toy example above except that I've implemented separate source and destination TransferHandlers (the source table is read-only, and it really doesn't make sense to allow people to drag from the destination table so I've essentially split the functionality of the example handler down the middle).
I'm not actually particularly in favour of messing too much with the mechanics of DnD, more because of lack of time than anything else. Guess I'll just have to put up with this for the moment. Doesn't help that DnD is so poorly documented by Sun.
    Thanks for all your help.

  • Drag and drop in APEX 4.1

    Hi everyone,
I'm wanting to create an APEX application but I am a novice when it comes to APEX.
One of the key points to my app is that it will need to be able to have drag and drop capabilities. Not drag and drop data but drag and drop objects like in this blog post: http://rutgerderuiter.blogspot.com/2008/07/drag-planboard.html
That article is pretty much what I want to do. I was just wondering if this is easier in the most recent version as that blog is several years old.
Does anyone know if there are newer features that make this easier? Any relevant links?
    Thanks!
    -Joe

    Hi jarola,
I was looking for a sample application that provides a fancy "drag and drop" and found your thread here.
I checked your link and the online version of the kanban board - veeeery great! Exactly what I'm looking for!! thumbs up :-)
Since I want to use it in an APEX application, I downloaded your sample application. Import was successful and I also took care of your "readme.txt":
"When installing application on Application Express release 4
After installation, you need modify page template.
Move #HEAD# substitution string in page template header before javascript libraries."
But despite, I still get following error message when trying to create a new board:
TypeError: $.htmldbJSON is not a function
I tried to place the #HEAD# in different places, nothing seems to help. :-(
    I'm running APEX Version 4.2.0.00.27 .
It would be glad if somebody can help me to find what I'm doing wrong here...
    Thanks & regards

  • Drag and drop between two Datagrid

I have to drag and drop data between two different datagrid but in drop side i have to modify the item.
    How Can I do it?
    Thanks
    A

Instead of using a DataGrid, you could use a Tile or TileList component.
DataGrid does not have your desired behavior.
You could create a custom component that uses states to display data in a DataGrid or Tile/TileList and switch states as appropriate.
If this post answers your question or helps, please mark it as such. Thanks!

  • Drag and drop between multiple instances of an executable

I want to know if there is a special way (not using Windows API) to drag and drop data between multiple instances of a same executable.
I have an application built in LabVIEW, where the main window can open a child window. Each window has a plot control. Between the two windows, a plot data of main window can be copied by drag and drop.
And I open another instance of the same executable. Now there are two executables(A and B).
I want to drag and drop a plot data from the main window of B to the child window of A. But in this case, Drag Enter Event is not fired. I think that the event seems to be fired only inside an executable.
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AB268878693EF4B586257037004A6725 says that Queue or Semaphore is working only inside an executable. Is drag operation also valid only inside a process?

    Hi,
Placed images (as opposed to pasted images) in Indesign are by their very nature pointers to an external image file, so there is no way to slim down the size of your exported PDF other than by playing with the export settings. Other than that, ensure that your file is placed in Indesign at 100% and at the correct resolution for your desired output. If you open the PDF in Acrobat, you can also save as a reduced size PDF which may help.
    Good luck!

  • Why is drag and drop not working in lion

Drag and drop has not worked correctly once since I started using lion.

    Hi
I had the same problem in my case the remedy was simple

  • How to drag and drop between portlets?

    Howdy!
Could someone please be kind enough to show me how to drag and drop data between portlets. I want to select an icon, drag it to an application and launch the file associated with the icon in the application.
I can do it within a portlet with some js functions but when I try it between portlets (on the same page)I see the forbiden sign.
    Thanks
    Jeff Graber

    Hi
thanks for the advice. However, that is what I had done. Here is the code in the jsp file for the destination portlet and it does not work. If you have any ideas, thanks!

  • Drag and drop storage?

    Hello
Can you just drag and drop data onto TC like movies, music, pictures etc without going through DU to create images?
Also I will not be connecting this to my Linksys router at all and can it be used in another part of the house and be used as a storage device or does it need to be connected to my wag325n router all the time?
    cheers

    I'm good?
    you should be.
Then I can proceed to delete large portions of my iPhoto library?
you could but wouldn't have any backup if your TC goes south
If so, what changes does this make on the TC when the TM goes to do another back up?
    none.
I"m assuming that it will still keep all my pictures in place but I don't know.
i'd rather get an external USB drive (they are dirt cheap right now) and move the pictures there. if that drive would be connected directly to your computer, TM can back that drive up, too.

  • I can't drag and drop from a data CD I recorded

I recently burned some audiobooks files (in mp3 format) as data cd's in Toast 8.0.1. When I go to reload them back onto my 20" 2 Ghz Dual Core Intel I can't drag and drop the files directly into any folder while using the columns view in a finder window. I can do it if I drag onto the music folder and let it spring open down to the level of the folder. I also can drag the mp3's into iTunes and then into the folder. This is not CD related since I used several diff brands.
I constantly update, backup, repair permissions, and do other maintenance so everything is up to date. I have noticed this behavior just since I started to use the program called Audiobook Builder. I am (and have always used) a non-admin user account. When this started a few months ago it seemed to go away with a restart, permission repair, or a logout but now it seems permanant. I checked user permissions on my home folder - I have not added any software since adding Audiobook Builder. Any idea's? I read something about trashing a com.apple pref but didn't try that.
I suspect Audiobook Builder since it changes the permissions and filetype to the iTunes Audiobook filetype but have not seen anyone reference this.

While the programming of course could be done, the idea of a function that performs on original unprocessed images seems to violate the whole idea of what Lightroom was designed to be. At least that's my opinion. Of course, the idea that Adobe should do this programming for a relatively small number of people (you're one of a very few people to ask for this, that I have read) seems to be something that isn't going to happen.
I agree, I can't see much reason for drag-and-drop to drag the unprocessed image - in other words, an image that isn't the one that you see when you drag and drop.  I can see that just filling this forum with "why the heck does it do that????????" posts.  I could be wrong, but I suspect that Adobe won't do that.
But if you do want to drag-and-drop the original unprocessed image, you can do it very easily now.  Right click the image, choose "show in Explorer", and then drag-and-drop from Explorer.

  • Drag and drop files from Outlook move mails to delete box

    Hi everybody,
I'm trying to develop a feature to be able to drag one or several mails from Outlook to my Java application.
As Java doesn't recognize a drop of an Outlook mail, in my program, I assume that if it's not a known file type, it is a mail. (I know it's quite straightforward).
When one or several mails are dropped I use a function from a plugin to get detail from the Outlook mails to import them into my application. In fact it import the data from the current selected mails in Outlook. This function is working perfectly when I use it without drag and drop (from a button 'Import' in the application).
My problem is that when I use drag and drop, mails are imported correctly but sometimes (not always) they are also moved in the delete box of Outlook. I have done several tests to try to figure out what is the cause. I have used several versions of Outlook, I have dropped 1 mail and several mails a the same time, etc...
Here are my tests results: it deletes the mails randomly but it seems to delete more often when my Java application isn't in full screen.
    What could be the cause?
Another question: is it possible to configure my drop area to do copies only and not move? When you drag and drop you have a small symbol next to your mouse arrow. It is a '+' inside a square for copy and an empty square for move. My drag and drop does move by default. I could maybe avoid my deletion problem by changing it to copy?!
    Cheers.

I think I have fixed it. I still have to make more tests, but it doesn't delete the mails any more for the moment.
In fact, when dropped item is detected as a file I do dtde.acceptDrop(DnDConstants.ACTION_COPY);But if it's not, I just set a variable to say that it is an Outlook mail.
So I have added the line dtde.rejectDrop(); to cancel the drop. And now it seems to work.
Apparently, I didn't clean some stuff when doing an email drop and it still wanted to move the mail or something?!
    Anyway, thanks for the help
