BOXI R2 logs

We have a BOXI R2 environment which is running on Windows 2003.
Although there are event logs for what is happening on BOXI, we were not able to find anymore logging.
Is there some way that we can turn on a more detailed logging (some setting)?
What I am especially interested in is some kind of logging where i can see what is happening within BO while processes are being run. But at this point, anything more than the event logs will be helpful.
Thanks,
Ben.

Hi Ben,
As mentioned above, you can enable the traces just by providing the Command line parameter for the CMS server or any other required server.
NOTE: Server restart would be required for Traces changes to take affect. And these changes can be done either from CMC or CCM.
Also to log details about each activity performed by anyuser on BOE can be logged using the Auditing feature.
Please refer the below provided guide, to know more about BOE Audit Logs

Also refer, BOE XI R2 Administrator's guide

I hope the provided information will be helpful.

  • Why does the cursor jump from the Name box to the password box when logging in to Gmail?

When logging in to Gmail, I often (8/10) times find that while I am still typing the username, the cursor has jumped to the password box. The result is that part of the username is typed into the password box. I then have to click back onto the username box and re-enter the username.

    Yes, this is very annoying!
I suspect a timing issue, that is, Google's scripts are still running for a while after the page is displayed and when the scripts see a non-blank value in the username, they moves the focus to the password ''even if you are in the midst of typing''.
If I wait a few seconds before I start typing in the username field, there's no problem. (I haven't experimented with the amount of time.)

  • HT204379 How do I change the small photo that appears in the password prompt box when logging in to my iMac?

    Hi,
I hope someone can help me over a triffling but irritating matter. My son has somehow put a pic of himself - I think taken from the photobooth -  in the password login box and I want to remove it but I can't find how to do it in system preferences. This happened to me when I first got my mac 2 yers ago, but I can't for the life of me remember how I removed/changed the samll personal pic.  Wouldbe most grateful if anyone could advise me!  Many thanks.

  • A box for log-in (mixed letters) keeps poping up and I can't get rid of it. Help! Thanks

The box (WebMail Motifier - Sign-in Verification) pops up numerous times - 50 or more times per day. I just want the boxes to stop. I don't need "webmail notifier." Thanks

You can safely ignore that silly message from Windows. It's for neophytes who don't know about file extensions, associations, and so forth.
Unfortunately, the DMP file doesn't nail a driver. So it's still a guessing game.
Won't hurt to check memory. Arrange for a test to run all night.

  • Will not show WILDBLUE log in boxes or go to home page.

In both Window XPsp3 and Windows 7 (two different mach.) when we start Firefox most of the time now the boxes for logging in to our home page on Wild Blue is not present and the program will not sign in automatically. Additionally on other web pages I have to move the Mouse Pointer over the page to find other boxes to buy or perform actions. This is not happening on IE or Chrome. One machine is 6 year and the other is 8 mouths old they shear nothing but a network in common. I have noticed that the https address is extra ordinarily long when viewed. I have cleared the histor, cookies etc. and reset what I can find to reset. Dose anyone have a fix for this?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • Logged in on more than one terminal-crashes

Great forum! I have been reading and tried to resolve the issue but to no avail. I am most worried about my system being compromised.
Problem: Ichat keeps disconnecting, or conversations freeze with other .mac user. I have read here and opened the 22 ports on WIFI Router and peronal firewall as suggested. When I open up again (sometimes after force quitting) an AOL SYS MSG appears (no longer) saying I am logged in on more than one terminal, and to type 1 in the chat box to log out of the terminal. The more information lynk to the AOL support webpage seem legitimate, so I did. The chat box confirmed I was logged out of other terminal. Yet the problem persists although no more messages from AIM
I have never entered my password or connected to AIM from another computer, is my safari or firefox browser sending this info to AOL´s page?

Id appreciate very much any feedback!!!

    Hi Tristan70,
Understood that you have no second Application or computer that is logged in with this account name.
It is very unlikely that anyone has accessed you account to steal it. (it is possible to have it kept on a "friends" Mac even if you delete it in iChat as it kept in the Keychain)
What is possible though is if you have a Wireless able Mac and have the Airport card active and an Ethernet cable connected to the same router or modem. Your Mac will get two IP addresses from any DHCP active server in the router or Modem
Does the last seem likely ?

  • "Highlight Property Value" dialogue box won't go away! Help! CS2

Have a page that I'm working on, now every 5 seconds or so a box pops up "Highlight Property Value" asking me to enter name and value of CSS property. No amount of canceling or entering data gets rid of it.
Never have seen this box in all my years of GoLive.
Tried quitting and reopening GL, but still there.
    CS2 on Leopard.

Installed as another user-set to admin, but this means I cannot work on any of my existing sites (since they are assigned to the other user- got error message). really hard to troubleshoot this way.
Created a new page and did as many quick tasks I I could think of, but did not get the box.
Logged out and then back in as original user to work on another site and was able to do a few tasks before the box popped up again. Once the box pops up, it's regularly every 5 seconds in all modes source, preview or layout
I had had Leopard installed for a few weeks before this problem started.
Could I have missed purging the offending Adobe file in the last reinstall I did on the main user?
Is there an Apple pref that might have something to do with it?
Prefs were easy, but it seems as though CS3 and CS2 Suites have some common named files in the Library. I am installing from the Suite disks. If I completely remove all the files that the CS2 deinstall instructions say to delete, can I be assured that I won't be deleting a critical CS3 file of the same name?
Would love to disable that highlight function any way possible -I've never used it.

  • Line weight dialogue box won't highlight in CS6

Added to my list of frustrations with CS6 is that when I choose the Line tool using pixels the "Weight" field in the horizontal bar won't highlight when I click in it. It took numerous attempts to realize that I can change it even though it won't show that it's highlighted. It also then highlights intermittently.
Documenting all the bugs in this "beta" 13.0.5 version would be a full time job. Why aren't the employees who are paid by Adobe able to do this work effectively?
    Unbelievable

  • Archived Log files

    Hello,
I have a understanding problem off the function of the archived log files. My Oracle 9i Database is running in ARCHIVELOG. So if the online log files are full they get backed up to 3 different locations.
However if I view now the v$archive_log view then I see all the archived log files.
    So now my questions:
    1. At which point does these archived log files get deleted ?
    2. If they never get deleted how do I know which archived log file can I delete.
    3. If I run a full hot/cold backup can I delete this archive log files?
    4. Is there any other way to delete the archived log files then using rman "delete input" option ? Like is there any way to delete the archived log files form the sqplplus prompt ?
I have searched and read some articles in the net about it but it is always just about how to set up the db into archivelog mode but I was not able to find anything answering my questions.
    Thank you

Out of the box, archived logs are not deleted
automatically. However, you can delete them via
RMAN. RMAN will delete them based on the set
retention policy. You can see which logs and
backups RMAN considers obsolete via the "report
obsolete" command. RMAN keeps track of logs that
are necessary for recovery, and those that can
    be safely deleted.
Another option, as you have noted, is to backup
archivelogs using RMAN, with the "delete input"
    option.
The best option (IMHO) is to automate deletion
of obsolete archive logs via a script. This
can be done using the "delete noprompt obsolete"
    RMAN command.
I'm not aware of any SQLPlus based method to delete
logs. In any case, this would NOT be a good idea, as
RMAN would not be aware of any such deletions.
    Hope this helps.

  • 2500 box shuts off about 4 times per week when i try to sign into the Facebook widget

basically what the title says.. I have the old 2500 boxes (and slow guide navigation issues as well).. but another problem I face is that I use the Facebook widget daily to look at my photo albums.. but about 4 times or so per week, upon clicking the Facebook widget, my box will turn itself off and go through the initial download all over again, which takes about two minutes..  more frustrating is that this resets my Facebook login so I have to log in again, which takes another few minutes..  anyone have this happen to them?

    Hi Anthony_VZ,
Oh I do so very wish that I could provide you with a detailed sequence of navigation that would repeat the box reboot ‘X’ many times out of 100. That would be awesome. Unfortunately that’s not usually my goal as a TV addict. I am usually looking to forget my troubles, not go looking for more. What I can tell you is this: box reboots can happen at any time of day or night. They can be caused by the type of activity I am doing or they can happen when I’m doing nothing at all. They can be generated from your end, my end, or happen seemingly spontaneously. And because no error messages are displayed either before or after, I have no idea what just happened.
As far as the ones that I have been able to reproduce, these happen mostly when I am using the search feature or the On Demand menus. Sometimes they happen while I am scrolling. But the most reproducible are usually when I use the OK button to select a program for its information page. I press OK, the box goes “click”. After the reboot, I remember what program I wanted to see, navigate all the way back to it, press OK and the box goes “click”. At this point I have to be a real meathead or glutton for punishment to go back again. But I have just to see what would happen. And what happened was “click”. I’m not sure I’ve ever gone back more than a third time. Or if I did, it was working by then.
So, was it a certain combination of buttons? Was it some bad code? Was it the gremlins that live inside the mysterious black box? (I hate those little guys. And yes, they do multiply when you get them wet.) I don’t have a clue. It’s irritating. I live with it. Life goes on.
Ideally, you would have a software program installed on the boxes that logs the last ‘X’ many commands given by the user and the last menus or options accessed before a crash. A sort of black box for the black box. Then after a reboot, an error report containing this information would be uploaded to a central server that would in turn have a program to analyze these reports for similarities and notify you when it finds them. Perhaps something you might want to suggest to your developers while they are working on the next generation of devices.
Now, if you want to pay me for my time and effort, I’d be more than happy to troubleshoot and log. I already have a half-dozen issues with STB/DVR malfunctions and limited functionality that I haven’t taken the time to write out and post to the Idea board yet. For starters, you are telling avemaria92 that she can “change an option to remember the last guide setting”. While this is true, the last viewed guide state is forgotten every time the box gets rebooted, and the guide reverts back to “All Channels”. If she is having an issue with her box getting rebooted all the time, telling her that this will fix her issue might not be the best idea, as it will only last till the next reboot. This problem also used to happen to the channel change mode as well. But a recent update made this setting persistent beyond the reboot. Wherever this setting is now saved, you need to put the guide setting right with it so that it remains persistent after a reboot as well.
Thanks for listening, Anthony_VZ. I will try your SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION and let you know if I continue having issues.

  • Customizing Audit Log Report - Adding/Removing Columns from Display

    Hi All -
Has anyone tried adding/removing the columns from Out of Box Auditi Log report with minor customizations to the code/configuration files ? Right now , when the Audit Log report is executed, there are numbe of columns that appear on report (Server, Client IP etc) which are too technical for the client and requirement is remove some of these and add some more for the attributes that we are audit logging through Audit workflow service. If you have done something similar in the past, please provide me with some inputs. Any sample code, examples will be highly appreciated.

    Hello Gurus,
I also have same kind of requirement.WE have to send a monthly report to customer where number of users created and deleted to be given to them.

  • When Essbase restart, I cannot log on EAS

    Hi,
After installing and configuring EPM 11.1.1.3 (Essbase + SS), I can connect correctly on EAS.
But when I restart the server, I cannot log on EAS: "Could not connect to Administration Server".
In the log of EAS: I have this error: com.hyperion.hit.registry.exceptions.RegistryException: java.sql.SQLException: [Hyperion][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]
I suppose SS try to register after essbase restarted, but I don't understand why EAS is block.
If I restart the service manually it works.
    Thank you for your help.

    Is this the hypservice?
We have found in system 9 if we do a reboot the services comes back but after 3 minutes the hypservice fails. It is a timing issue with the OpenLDAP service on your Shared Services box (I am assuming they are on separate boxes)
We logged a case with Oracle and tried some re-edits but to no avail. So we just keep a mental note that if the servers do reboot, to recheck the hypservice service to see if it has started

  • Cfmail not working properly, Log files not updating

I'm still trying to get this CFmail problem corrected.  The problem is CFmail is only send the mail out sporadically.  In many cases it will send out the mail and still put the message in the undeliverable folder.  My smtp server shows that the connection was opened and closed.
I'm pretty sure that I'm dealing with a CF problem  since the mail logs are screwing up as well.  In the past when I'd have  a problem with CFmail I could go to my mail.log and see what was  happening.
    Those logs looked like this:
"Error","scheduler-2","05/28/09","11:00:43",,"Invalid Addresses;    nested exception is:      javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 No such  user (website_notification) Cached lookup "
"Error","scheduler-2","05/28/09","11:00:43",,"Invalid Addresses;    nested exception is:      javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 No such  user (wayneseattle) -ERR [email protected] not found "
"Error","scheduler-2","05/28/09","11:00:43",,"Invalid Addresses;    nested exception is:      javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 No such  user (ca-sl-broardmoor) Cached lookup "
Now my logs look like this:
    "Error","scheduler-2","12/07/09","10:05:36",,""
    "Error","scheduler-4","12/07/09","10:17:22",,""
    "Error","scheduler-0","12/07/09","10:33:37",,""
    "Error","scheduler-0","12/07/09","10:53:53",,""
Where did the error messages go?
Could this be a SMTP response message formating issue?  Any ideas in how  to figure this one out would be very much appreciated.

Which version of CF are you using? You may have already checked this but under "Server Settings -> Mail -> Mail Logging Settings" there's an option box for "Log all mail messages sent                      by ColdFusion". If you have it unchecked you may not see all of that data.

  • Auto log out

I am not sure why this is happening but it seems in the last couple weeks, my PB will log out after a period of inactivity. It's only happened a couple times, and I haven't sat around to determine the sequence of events. I just leave the computer alone (normally, I close the lid when I am not around it) for a half hour or so, come back, and the log in screen is there.
It's only a minor glitch, but I can't find a setting that seems like it would stop the computer from logging out automatically...
    Thanks!
