BP Fact sheet: how to translate component name?

Hello
At my customer BP fact sheet is custimized to include a custom component. The component name is Z-custom and the description in english is "custom". If I log on to the web UI in english I can see the title on the windo "custom". But if I log on in other languages it is empty.
This is because there was no translation to the component name before. I added the translations in SPRO - Maintain Fact Sheet but still nothing is shown in the web UI. I also checked BSP_WD_CMPWB but found no place for translation.
Can anyone help? It must be something really quick ans stupid !!

Actually I also made some other changes in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB (like titles of columns) but these changes are not shown either onthe Web UI.
Do I need to activate something, or run something?

Hi Tom,
you need a PTP (Port Type Package), and to configure the outport.
If you want to understand how to configure do:
1) Create a custom BO
2) Generate all the screens for the custom BO of type Object-Based Navigation
3) Open the OWL and see what happen when the user click EDIT (the QA screen is opened through the PTP)
4) Open the QA and see how the QA understand that it needs to be opened when the PTP receive the notification

How to translate field names in SAP R/3 (SE63)?

Hi gurus,
I actually have an unsolved with my translation job in SAP R/3. It's urgent and I just can't find a solution for that:
I'm using the translation menu with transaction SE63.
Though I have translated the object types domain (DOM), data elements (DTEL) and table descriptions (TABT), I get no translated field name (e.g. in selection screens for summary tables).
Which object type do I have to translate? Or is there another SAP transaction or a table where I can translate the field names?

In SE63 -> Repository Texts.
Also, visit Note 585116.
WebAs Support Package 25 converts the SAP translation environment (SE63) to a Unicode-enabled version for short text translation. This conversion requires some system adjustments before translation can continue.
If you never translated in your system before Support Package 25 was imported, you can simply ignore this note because your system does not contain any translation data that needs converting.
Please download the current documentation attached to this note:
Choose file UC-SE63_DE.PDF or UC-SE63_EN.PDF if you want to read the end user documentation.
Choose file UC-TransAdmin-DE.PDF or UC-TransAdmin-EN.PDF if you want to learn more about translation system setup and coordination.
If your system does not yet run on a Unicode basis, you must make the
technical adjustments described on the first page of the documentation.
If yours is already a Unicode system, create an OSS message and assign it to the component BC-DOC-TTL.
Should you have to translate from a Business Warehouse (BW) environment, please refer to the Quick Guide to generating worklists in transaction SLWB attached to this note (files QuickGuideTransAdmin-DE.PDF or QuickGuideTransAdmin-EN.PDF).

How to translate element names on RMS screen to corresponding Chinese lang.

Hi ,
I am deploying a forms onto RMS screen which is customized to Chinese Language.
The forms should be displaying in its corresponding chinese name , and all the labels(buttons,list items,text items,etc) should appear chinese.
should i make changes in nav_element,nav_element_mode,nav_element_mode_role tables ... or in the form_elements and form_elements_langs table or any other relevant tables ...
Please let me know how can that be done.

RMS is the Oracle Retail Merchandise System in this case.
What is your RMS version? There are versions that support Chinese.

New Info Block in BP Fact Sheet

How i can add new Info Block to Business Partner Fact Sheet (BP_FACTSHEET) with other class and all data.
I will write some ABAP program with data but how i can assing it to new info block?

Hi,
Create the fact sheet views that you want to include in the component workbench.
Under UI framework def>factsheet> assign these views to a fact sheet.
Then these views are then displayed in Available Fact Sheet Views in the fact sheet configuration using bsp_dlc_fs component within the component workbench.
Select the created view as one of the tile in factsheet.

I created a new view in component BP_FACTSHEET.and add this view in runtime repository(under main window).then i want to add this new view into spro(CRM->UI Framework -> UI Framework Definition -> Maintain Fact Sheet.) component.How to add this view ,its asking for component name interface view and inbound plug .then i want to display this view in BSP_DLC_FS component (BSP_DLC_FS/factsheet ).any body help me in this requirement.how to solve this problem for account factsheet.

Thanks for ur reply.When i copied the view from BP_BPBT component (BP_BPBT/AccountSalesOrdersOV ) into my enhanced component (BP_FACTSHEET).Whole fields are not coming in my view.(some fields are coming).how to copied the field from intrection histroy to new view.also i want to configure this view into SPRO (UI Framework -> UI Framework Definition -> Maintain Fact Sheet.).Can you tell me these step.

I am looking for someone who has integrated a custom web template with the CRM fact sheet (I am on 2004s).
I have created a custom web application design template for displaying on the portal for a CRM factsheet (TPL_FACT_SHEET).
This template is based on a query which has a variable (CHOOSE_CUST, ready for input, input: optional type) on 0CUSTOMER char.
When the sales rep queries the CRM FactSheet on the portal- based on the 0CUSTOMER he is demanding the fact sheet for, the appropriate 0CUSTOMER value needs to be parsed to my custom web template and it should return him the report. The report is very simple with just sales for current and previous year by material group. There is a std template to do this but we are using cutom data providers and hence need to create this custom web template.
Thus far I have created a 'filter pane' in my web template but do not know how to link this with the CRM fact sheet or even how to link it to my query variable. Currently when my template is called from the factsheet (portal) it displays results for multiple customers without any filter!
Please advise how to proceed in linking the CRM fact sheet 0Customer number with my web template filter pane!

Name of Fact Sheet in Customizing - CRM2007

Hi Folks
Does anyone now where I can change the name of the Fact Sheet shown?
In standard the name of the Fact Sheet is: BP_ACCOUNT_FS.
I have made a copy of the Fact Sheet, named ZBP_ACCOUNT_FS.
But I can't find any place where I can change the pointer to my own Fact Sheet!!

To my knowledge, CRM does not store any statistics. Some telephony software (BCM, Genesys, etc.) provide such statistics. Even I think that BI has a "reporting agent" report.

How to find out the Target Component name and Target view name

Hi All Expert,
                  I want to know ,how to find out the target component and target view in WEB UI,when i click on a field which shows as a hyper link in WEB UI .At GUI level ,i know the how it will work.Any way to find out the component name and view name which is show the details of that field at GUI level .IF you go to transaction CRMD_ORDER then open the service contract id .then goto the item level value .there is 1 service data tab is available at item level.there is two button is available.first one is available time and second one is response time .if i click on any button then one popup is open which is shows the details of that button.I dont know how to find out the component name and view name from GUI level.

             The control would be something like this for navigation in Get_p_xxx method u mention as link and u mention a event name which gets triggered on the click of this hyperlink. So your GET_P_XXX method would have the following code:
CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_fieldtype.
      rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_event_link.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_onclick.
      rv_value = 'EXAMPLE'.
Now you have to create a method as EH_ONEXAMPLE at your IMPL class and within which you would give an outbound plug method. Within the outbound plug the target data would be filled in the collection and window outbound plug would be triggered.
This is a huge topic and i have just mentioned you basic things.

Hi ,
get the object of IF_WD_COMPONENT , by calling the method wd_get_api( ) of wd_component attribute , then call the method GET_COMPONENT_INFO( ) ,it will return the object of IF_WD_RR_COMPONENT in that call the method GET_NAME( ) .

How to find the ABAP Webdynpro Component Name in the Portal IView(WDA)

Hi All
I got one ABAP Webdynpro IView in portal , when i opened the Iview i got the Application name of ABAP Webdynpro in the properties of the Iview but i could not able to find the component name .
Please let me know how to find the component name of WDA , as i already got the Application name of component from Iview i.e WDA_ED_RDF ( this is applicaiton name found in the portal Iview for ABAP Webdynpro)

Right Click on any UI Element in Portal->Go to more field help->TEchical Information. You can see all the information about component, application, ui elements etc.

How to allow fact sheets to be opened?

I want to use a program on a flash drive that needs my web browser pop up blocking function to allow fact sheets to be opened.

This article describes how to change your pop-up blocker settings, but I'm not sure that's really the issue... [[Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting]].
Could you describe the sequence of events? Is it a Windows program you run from the USB Flash drive, and then the program launches the fact sheet from the USB Flash drive? What happens (or what doesn't happen)?
Do you know whether the fact sheet is an HTML page or a PDF?

How to remove "Version Name" from contact sheets

When printing contact sheets, how do you remove the words"Version Name" from under each photo.
I just want my image numbers to be there such as JJC_3795. As it appears now is reads, Version Name:
JJC_3795. I went to Presets then to File Names hoping this would fix it, but can't figure out how to make that change. Maybe it's not possible???
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think it is possible. What I have done is print to PDF and then (in Acrobat Pro) covered the "version name" part with a blank text field, white background, and done the physical printing from Acrobat.

You can get the application name using below code:
DATA : lr_api      TYPE REF TO if_wd_component,
          lr_app      TYPE REF TO if_wd_application,
          lr_app_info TYPE REF TO if_wd_rr_application,
          lv_app_name TYPE string.
   lr_api = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
   CALL METHOD lr_api->get_application
     RECEIVING
       result = lr_app.
   CALL METHOD lr_app->get_application_info
     RECEIVING
       result = lr_app_info.
   CALL METHOD lr_app_info->get_name
     RECEIVING
       result = lv_app_name.
Now pass the lv_app_name to the FM.
