BP Hierarchy in CRM 4.0

Hi Gurus,
Landscape - R/3 4.6C with CRM 4.0
Scenario - We have Customer hierarchy maintained in R/3. Based on which, we have pricing, partner detn etc done in R/3.
With CRM 4.0, after customer hierarchy initial load, I do not see that hierarchy in Txn BPH.
Question 1- After initial load, should the Cust Hierarchy from R/3 flow down to CRM?
If yes, thaen what went wrong that I do not see it in CRM.
Question 2- If above is no, do we have to maintain manually in CRM 4.0?
Question 3- If Question 2 is yes, could you help me with the setting up the BP hierarchy step by step procedure in CRM including, pricing & partner function detn? Brief steps would be of immense help.

Hello,
Not sure, if you looked into these:
If you are downloading the customer hierarchy of type other than 'A', I think you need to explicitly maintain
for hierarchy type in CRM IMG.
Also you need to look PIDE setting in R/3 for hierarchy node to set grouping and number range.

Hi Leon,
Creating a BP group (customer) hierarchy in CRM system is very easy. Please refer to the following very good help document : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/12/cfea3b31aac554e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
But in CRM 5.0 every time you create a hierarchy node and saves it, then hierarchy automatically get disappears. You need to implement the following notes in your system to get rid of this problem : 958122, 960384 and 956066

Hierarchy in CRM system?

Hi all
I have created a Base Hierarchy in CRM System by name " BASE_PROD" and assign some category to this hierarchy.
Now the problem lies in:-
1. I am not able to assign certain set types which I want to use as they are used in other Base Hierarchy ( These Base hierarchy are copied from R/3 to CRM)
2. I don't want to use the hierarchy which are copied from R/3 to CRM and want to create them in CRM system itself.
3. When I try to delete these Base Hierarchy in CRM, system issue error Massage " Hierarchy R3PRODSTYP may only be changed in original system ER1CLNT200".
(here ER1CLNT200 is the R/3 system).What is the menu path in R/3 for deleting/changing these Hierarchy.
4.Is there any way to use same set types which are already assign to other hierarchy/Category.

Proceed as follows to remove one or more objects from the hierarchy:
Select the objects to be removed by positioning the cursor on each of the objects and activating Select/deselect node (for entity types) or Sel./desel. sub-tree (for data models).
Select Modeling object ® Delete assignment.
The objects are automatically removed from the hierarchy.
You cannot remove an object from the hierarchy without also removing all its subordinate objects.
Delete assignment only removes objects from the data model hierarchy in question.

How to delete a hierarchy in CRM

Hi,
I have created a hierarchy in CRM, and linked 5 customers to this hierarchy.
But now some end users have created a new hierarchy, and moved all the customers from the old hierarchy to this new one.
So the old hierarchy is now empty.
My question is how do I delete the empty hierarchy?

Hi,
Ofcourse you can integrate CRM and BW.
You can upload CRM marketing data to BW and can analyze it per plan basis.
For this you need to activate BW-CRM data sources and need to pul the marketing data to BW.
Secondly to get realtime info, you need to schedule tbe Delta loads to pull the updated data periodically(daily, hourly, weekly etc).

1-Create new Brand Hierarchy called YBRANDHIER using transaction COMM_HIERARCHY
2-Create a new product hierarchy application type Y1 to which you will assign the Brand hierarchy u2013 see table COMC_APPLICATION
3-Create the Brand Hierarchy assignment to Application and the numbering scheme via IMG u2013 CRM->Master Data ->Product ->Product Category ->Assign Category Hierarchies to Applications ->Define Category Numbering Schemes
4-The table COMS-HIER_R3(IMP (Settings for Importing Hierarchies) requires an entry reflecting settings for the new brand hierarchy table
5-Settings for numbering scheme is based on the length of each of the three brand attributes.The numbering scheme is based on the length of each of the three brand attributes
6-Create a Middleware Customising Object that will perform the download from R/3 to CRM (see transaction R3AC3). The customizing object will be called ZDNL_CUST_BRAND
With this procedure, the ECC Brand will be in your CRM System.

Product hierarchy in CRM

how product hierarchy in r/3 is mapped to CRM prod cat.
if i have defined a product hierarchy like this
Level1 - 2 digit
Level2 - 2 digit
level3 - 3 digit
level4 - 2 digit.
I have a product line at level 3 and would like to see Product line at transaction level say lead when pull Prod.Cat. tab in transaction.
Can it be seen.

You can use the table COMM_PRPRDCATR.
You will get the HIERARCHY_GUID, then from the table COMM_HIERARCHY you will get the HIERARCHY_ID.

ECC Product Hierarchy to CRM

Hi all,
We have a product hierarchy created in ECC in Tcode V/76. These hierarchies have 3 levels and assigned to different materail in ECC materail master.
We have done a initial load of Materail and all the products in CRM now have the R3PRODSTYP. But none of them got assigned to R3PRODHIER when I check in Product wokbench. This is making my product search in a Sales order really difficult.
Is it a standard behavior that R3PRODHIER does not get assigned automatically even though those materail belong to that hierarchy in ECC?
I cheked the SMW01, no errors in initial load of the objects "Material", "DNL_CUST_PROD01" etc.
Any help much appreciated.

Yes..That can be a possible approach. But the product maintenance workbench will not allow you to delete the base category with which the product was created.
Instead the best way is to use this recategorization trx. COMM_PROD_RECATEG to change the category assignment of all your products on the fly.
Please use this in TEST mode first and then go for it!

Note: Unfortunately, the report cannot be executed to delete the assignment of a category to a product when that category is assigned to the base hierarchy.
In that case, a report program to reassign the base hierarchy would be 1 option. Alternatively, you need to purge your product data in CRM and restart the download from ECC after making the customizing change.

Problems with activation of CRM_MKTELM hierarchy from CRM Marketing Planner

I am facing a problem between CRM 5.0 and BI7.0 in the Marketing Planner. When I create a marketing plan with elements in the marketing planner, it cannot update the hierarchy for InfoObject CRM_MKTELM in BI7. The error message:
Data in SAP BI could not be updated completely: see log
Message no. CGPL_BW_INTERFACE014
When opening the log it says that the hierachy does not exist. After this in BW there is now an A and M version of the hierarchy CRMMKTROOT, the M with the latest elements from CRM. (from here i can now activate the M one manually)
The action Activate BW Hierarchy in the Marketing Planner does not seem to work. We tried to run the activation program in CRM as well, without succes. We also checked the settings in SPRO in CRM, and looked at some notes as well.
Does anybody have a clue on this one?

Hello Anne,
we are facing the same issue. We have a customer hierarchy in ECC that has been structured as a general hierarchy, rather than the normal KNVH. We want to map that somehow to CRM.
Initial solution outlines:
1) create a custom program that converts the general hierarchy to a normal customer hierarchy in KNVH, then use the standard program to download that to CRM account hierarchies
2) create a custom program to map the general hierarchy to CRM (to some structure)
Can you please tell how you covered your need?

0ORGUNIT Hierarchy load failure in BW, Source system : CRM

From last 3 days 0ORGUNIT hierarchy load was failing.Iam getting below messages.
Node 25047465 already exists
Node 25034957 already exists
Node ID 00006105,Char.Value 25081567,exists several times under node id 00003508
Node ID 00005752, Char Value 25081567,exists several times under node id 00003150
1. Assuming that node values were changed,in order to bring AS IS how hierarchy is there in source and fresh reload will correct the duplications, I have deleted existinsg Hierarchy,and tried to reload Hierarchy from CRM system. But now i am not able load and getting same error and my old Hierarchy also deleted.
2.Could you please help how we can check the 0ORGUNIT hierarchy in CRM system, I have checked through Tcode PPOSE, There i'm not getting any duplication of records i.e i have single value for the respctive Char Value.
3.We cannot check Hierarchy data through RSA3 or in the PSA how can we check how we are getting data from source system

Hi Sree,
Seems like Hierarchy structure is not correct in CRM. I have seen this issue, but loading data from another client (Where structure is correct) usually resolved my issue.
not sure about CRM, but in ECC there are different Tcodes to see hierarhcies ( depends upon the Area). E.G to see profit Center hierarchy you can use KCH3 in ECC.

IDOC message type or bapi to create CRM Product hierarchy

hi all,
I tried to tranfer the Product hierarchy to CRM using LSMW, it could not transftered by batch input and I could not find any IDOC message type or bapi to create Product hierarchy. it seemed that I could not using LSMW?
i also found that many BAPIs in CRM were not related with ALE message.so we can not use LSMW using IDOC or BAPI to transfer data? i will very appreciate anyone who can tell me to solve such problem, especially tranfer data to CRM. thanks so much!

u can check the bapi-BUS1112 for cost center, and from the methods what ever u want u can take based upon requirement
if u find it useful plz mark the points.
check the IDOC method with message type COSMAS and basic type COSMAS1
it should workout now

Product Hierarchy download into CRM from ECC6

Recently we have added few Product hierarchies into ECC6 (level 2, 3 , 4 and 5 hierarchies)
now they are not replicated into CRM...
how can I replicate them into CRM from ERP6... quick guidance....?

it will be done maually,
- On CRM
For Defining the Product Hierarchy Strucuture :
CRM IMG -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Product -> Product Category -> Define Category Numbering Schemes
   - make new entry
          Number Scheme     R3PRODHIER
   - after that select the new Scheme, and choose a new entry (should be the same as structure PRODHS on ECC)
For Defining Product ID
CRM IMG ->Cross-Application Components->SAP Product->Basic Settings->Define Output Format and Storage Format of Product Ids (tx. COMCPRFORMAT)
note : should be matched with ERP (Tx. OMSL)

Please send me your mail id I will send you the document on how to download the Customer Hierarchy to ECC from CRM.
Follow the steps:
1. SAP Easy Access >/nR3AC1-> Select CUST_HIERARCY.---> Double click ---> maintain the tables that you want transfer from CRM to R/3. --> Maintain the necessary function modules that map the data from CRM to R/3.
2. Load the business object CUST_HIERARCHY for upload or download using the transaction: R3AS.
3. Monitor SMQ1 and SMQ2.
