BP Publisher problem - no models published

I've got the Business Process Publisher running locally alongside my BP Architect, for the moment both using the Local database.
As soon as I installed the Publisher it appeared in the Administration view of BPA as a Web Application Server. So I've been doing a few Web Exports from some Local databases that I have, but none of them contain any models.
The user account that I created to log in has rights to Read the whole group (Main Group -- on down), and upon login to the web server is asked to choose a Profile (Easy Filter, etc.). No matter which is chosen all that can be viewed is the structure of the Main Group (the sub folders within it) but none of the Models or Objects within.
I've used both IE 6 and Firefox to no avail.
What might I be doing wrong, or where can I look for better and more thorough instructions than the online help?
Thanks in advance.

hi,
objects in business publisher will not be viewed the way they are veiwed in architect i mean you cant view then in navigation frame, but yes, processes/models will surely be visible just the way you veiw them in architect. It is important that you choose the right filter and user group while viewing the publisher output.
I think that filter that you choose in the "select profile" screen during login does not have your model type included. In case thats not the problem, then you might wanna check if you have given access rights (over the folder which contains your processes) to the user group in your database that you are selecting on the "select profile" screen.
please revert back if still there is a problem

Ashish

  • Unexpected Publishing Problems

I have been using iWeb for almost two months with no publishing problems. I publish to a folder then ftp it to my yahoo server. However, last night I began to experience publishing problems. iWeb publishes just the first five pages of my site then I get a message that an unexpected error occurred. No other clues as to why it could be happening.
The last change I made was an adding a podcast. I deleted that podcast thinking that maybe iWeb didn't like the taste of it and tried to publish but it still won't work. I've tried about 10 times, with my screen saver turned off, battery charger plugged in, and no other apps running.
    Please help me!

    G4 17 inch Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Here's the latest...
I realized that iWeb stopped publishing at the same page (I have 30+ pages on my site. It would always stop at the fifth one). So, I rearranged the order of that page, dragging it down to the very bottom of my site list. When I went to publish to folder, iWeb published everything then stopped again at that specific page. So here I thought I had isolated the issue.
I created a new site and dragged the problematic page into it. I then created a brand new page in my main site and copy/pasted the old content into it. Ergo: a whole new page. I went to publish with iWeb cranking along nicely until it got to the NEW version of that page and then it crapped out. Again.
I am guessing that one of the images (or who knows what, really) is messing with iWeb's fragile ego. I am going to reconstruct the page with brand new copies of the images that were on it. Images, by the way, that published fine for almost a month and that I didn't alter at all.
Wish me luck all. I'll keep you posted.

  • Can someone help me with a problem I have publishing photos to Facebook and Flickr

I am using LR4.4 on my HP laptop (Windows 7 Home premium) with Mozilla Firefox as my default browser. I was able to publish some photos from LR to my Facebook account early in October. I have some new photos to publish, but find I now can no longer publish to Facebook.  I get a message – “Facebook authentication check failed”. I have tried to reset up publishing to Facebook within LR, but when I click on the Authorize in Facebook, I get a Firefox Error Message:  “The address wasn't understood Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (lightroom) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context. You might need to install other software to open this address.”  I have tried using IE as the default browser, but I get the following Internet Explorer Error Message:  “The webpage cannot be displayed. Most Likely Cause:  Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed.”  From the Adobe website (helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/errors-occur-using-lightrooms-publish.html) I have unsuccessfully tried all 5 solutions to resolve this issue.
Other steps I have tried - I have removed the LR app from Facebook, then attempted to Authorize from LR. I can get through 3 steps in Facebook (request for Public Profile, accept Posting to Facebook, and accept managing FB pages), but the final step again fails.  In Lightroom, after the authentication step fails, I note that the “Failed to receive authentication token” is highlighted blue. When I click on this, a popup appears (see below). I had found a suggestion that this should be changed (I can’t recall what the alternative url was – but part of it was …”export.facebook”…) but I’m not sure where this change should be made. I attempted to paste the new link into this field, but this didn’t seem to work either.
I have also tried to set up publishing of photos to my Flickr account. I go to the LR setup, which directs me to my Flickr account, and click on the authorize button. But again I get the same error message!  I am just about at the end of my knowledge / ability to solve my Publishing problem. I would really appreciate you help and advice with this issue. Can you please help me?

  • Problems converting MS Publisher 2007 documents to PDF

Hi I have MS Publisher 2007 and create documents using MS Publisher then convert them to PDF without ANY problems - until about 2 months ago. Nothing changed other than the usual updates from Adobe and Microsoft and now I cannot convert ANY files from MS Publisher to PDF - neither through the MS Publisher utility or the Adobe utility. Crazy thing is it is ONLY a problem for MS Publisher - every other Office product prints to PDF fine. I cannot even save to PDF with Publisher - I get the MS error message "Publisher cannot save the file". When I try to create a PDF using Adobe it progresses through the conversion process and acts like it has created the file - but I cannot find it in the location specified and it's nowhere on my PC. There's no error message created by Adobe Acrobat either. We've tried to understand what the problem is and for some reason when I reduce file size UNDER 1MB MS Publisher and Adobe behave and create the PDF! Over 1MB and nothing doing.
It's driving me crazy as we choose to use MS Publisher for all our creative stuff - not because it's cheap but because the interface is more user friendly and I guess we're used to MS products.
    Details:
    MS Publisher - 2007 (12.0.6535.5002) SP2 MSO (12.0.6535.5002)
Part of Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Version 9.3.4
    Part of Design Suite CS5
I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could PLEASE advise how we can fix this problem.

***** Actually, girls and guys I think I have found the problem!!!!!
It's not just pictures that can cause the "Cannot Save File" message it's also fonts.
We were using Myriad Pro in all our Case Studies and up until a certain date 2 months ago it was great all could be printed and there were no problems. Then for some reason - and I have since discovered the font Myriad Pro has a licensing issue on our PC's - all our Case Study templates were unable to be converted and we were having issues all over the place.
I went through the advice contained in these posts (and also onb the Adobe website) and removed images one by one to see what was actually causing the problem. Nothing, no result the issues still existed. Then I hit upon the idea of changing the font to Arial and BINGO!!! it worked!!!! So, my advice is to ensure that your images are free from errors (whatever that means!) and you're using fonts that have no licensing issues and Publisher will be able to convert them no problems.
Now, as for the advice Microsoft gave us...well I am as frustrated as everyone else is that we had to find the answers ourselves and MS couldn't have developed a tool that would pick up these issues for us in the document itself. C'mon Microsoft you make this great product - make it even better and give us better diagnostic tools please.
Oh and by the way, when I did the same document in InDesign (which was a pain in the a...) it handled the font issue no problems - explain that one Microsoft.

  • FMS Publish Problem

    Good Night partners.
Today I'm here to bug you a little, because I'm having a
problem with my flex app for FMS 3.5
Thing is my app has two video displays, one shows the video
input for the camera, and the other shows the live stream of the
    video being published.
Locally on my computer, I can use both this lines:
    ns.publish("livevideo", "live");
    ns.publish("videos/redorded", "record");
The first one, as you know, sends the video to the NetStream
Object, so viewers can watch it live, and the second line is for
recording the video on the FMS app folder.
Locally, again, everything works perfect, but if i change the
    adress
    http://127.0.0.1/stream_app/stream_app.html
    to
    http://192.168.1.4/stream_app/stream_app.html
and access it from another network pc, I get this error:
    Error #2044: Unhandled NetStatusEvent:. level=error,
    code=NetStream.Record.NoAccess
    at
    trans/netStatusHandler()[C:\xampp\htdocs\stream_app\src\stream_app.mxml:119]
As far as I know, this error occurs when the file that I'm
trying to overwrite it's on use or server's hard disk is full.
I hope I was clear enough explaining my problem, and I also
    hope someone can help me.
    Thanks in advance, Juan.

I discover that publish function does not work only with
Flash Player 9. When i have older version, all is OK, but with
version 9 does not work. My FMS version is 2.0.4.
    Any suggestions ???

  • Publishing Problems -- Errors Galore

    Here we go again...
I am yet again having repeated and contiunuous error messages when I publish any changes. I have spent a couple of hours of my life this past week on hold with calls to Apple (and many, many more at the keyboard) and finally was put through to an alleged iLife expert. He finally determined that the problem was Apple's not mine.
In short, I publish and finally get a message that there was an error in publishing. Sometimes, what I tried to publish actually does go through. But all the changed pages in my iWeb remain red and next time I publish iWeb tries to publish all the red pages, not just what was reecntly changed. Frustrating!!!!!
Anyone else having these woes or anything similar? Any suggestions that will help save my sanity?
    Best to all,

I think the really telling aspect of all of this is that your problems are intermittent and not consistent to any degree. I also believe that there are many instances when there are issues with the .Mac service that we as customers or endusers are not made aware of. iWeb has no choice a lot of times to just return one of its many "timeout" errors when the .Mac servers are misbehaving.
But I still strongly believe that there are other forces at work here. Count me in as probably one of many users who publish regularly using iWeb to .Mac who have never experienced a single error message. I think it has to do with my relatively simple site that has only small image files...no big video files and the like...and the fact that my main iWeb machine is relatively sparse with little to no 3rd party software installed in the system.
I hope that Apple gets a better handle on this situation with time. Unfortunately this is the most frustrating thing for people having issues. Good luck to you, Richard. Hopefully some fog lifts and you are able to publish again.

  • Publishing Problems - a Solution?

For a long time I'd sympathised with all you people who'd been having publishing nightmares, even though I've been updating pretty much error free since iWeb 1.0
Then last night after updating my blogs and making a few changes, I finally got the dreaded error messages. Tried a few times, got frustrated, and decided to sleep on it.
Same this morning ... grrr ... but then I noticed that my iDisk had failed on auto-synchronisation.
I'd only mounted my iDisk recently to amend my Podcast feed, so on a hunch I unmounted iDisk, rehit the Publish button in iWeb, and holy shmoly – it worked straight off!
I reckon that publishing iWeb kicks off the iDisk auto-sync, and then you've got a conflict with iDisk and .Mac trying to outsync each other.
Anybody else found this? if this solves publishing problems for a few of you then great. If it works for a lot of you, even better. If the majority of you get sorted, then that's a revelation!
    Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    My message to Apple stated:
"My pages go through the "create" process then start
on the "publishing" process then come back with an
error message that tells me to check my internet
connection (which is fine at 2 different locations. I
spent 13 hours fighting this yesterday. It has
created a major problem for me -- and this just after
I paid an extra hundred dollars to upgrade my
broadband. Your telephone people tell me you're
working on this. Please advise when it will be fixed
so I don't waste another 13 hours today."
    Regards,
    Richard M.
Richard, thank you for writing this. I would like to know how this all shakes out, and I am glad that it is an Apple server problem and not mine.
Meanwhile, I want to say how helpful it is to have this iWeb forum, and also thank the very generous and thoughtful souls who take the time to help beyond what normally would be expected. Those people know who they are, but I also am grateful to everyone.
For example, I was greatly relieved to read that I was not the only person getting Network Failure messages, since it meant that probably I was not working with a defective application -- one that started out fine but somehow went south on me and would not be replaced by Apple. This may seem a trifling thing to some, but when you are in a spot that you perceive as Hot, assurance from the outside is very much appreciated.
I hope that when you all finish your websites, you post the URL so we can all see it; after all, in a sense we are all comrades in arms (because sometimes it can seem like a war, due to the Fear Factor) and our fates are somehow connected even though we are all so-called strangers.

  • Publish Problems

    More Publish Problems!
Ok... So now that I have been working on my sites when I publish I get "Publish Error" an unknown? Help... I am using iWeb 1.1.1 and thought that this word be an easy way for students to get access to some pod casts... Now what? This worked before using 1.1.1

Oh my god I am not a lunatic idiot after all!
I am currently in discussion with Apple Support for exactly the same problems as you guys, all I did was add a new video to my site. The first few times the update timed out as it was taking more than 30 minutes to upload (I am on broadband and the new page was only 7 meg). Then I got the ".Mac servers were busy please try later" message, then I got the "check your isp.." gubbins. Then when I tried again it said the update was successful but when I visited the site (via a number of different computers and networks) I either could not access the site at all, or it partly loaded, or the welcome page loaded correctly but when going to other pages I got nothing!
I am currently waiting for Apple Support to " get back to me"

  • Problems when I publish

    Hi!
I use Iweb but now when I try to publish it says unknown problem.
I recently had to replace my harddrive and I used an external harddrive for a complete backup. So in 10 min the computer was up and running again.
Everything seams to work except this.
Does anyone know what I can do?
    Would be very greatful.
    Take care.
    LM

    Lisa,
The error you are receiving, as you probably suspect, is meaningless. I think it's a default error message that results from iWeb, using WebDav, failing to keep a consistent upload "relationship" with the .Mac server as it publishes. Right now, the .Mac servers are taking all they can, with iWeb 2.0's release. I personally have never received publish errors since I began using 1.0 shortly after it's release--but I do now. When I try to publish, I get the same series of error messages each time, almost as if iWeb/.Mac "runs through the list" before it will grant a successful upload of the site. Immediately upon receiving the error message, I go to File/Publish to .Mac and do it again. In my case, persistence pays off.
If you don't mind a little 'aggravating leg work', here's a way to publish the site with no error messages.
From the file menu in iWeb, use the Publish to a folder command and choose your Desktop as the folder location. iWeb will deliver your site in a neat little folder on your Desktop, named for your site, and an index.html file beneath it. Since you have already published to .Mac successfully, disregard the index.html file; it already exists on the server.
Now open a window in the Finder, and navigate to the iWeb folder location on your iDisk, following this path:
    (1.1.2)
    Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/DropYourFolderHere
    (2.0)
    Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites/DropYourFolderHere
Click yes for replace in the dropdown window.
Your site will be uploaded at about the same speed (maybe a little longer than a "first time publish") as a normal publish from iWeb, and with no publish errors.
Post back if you run into difficulties and I'll give all the help that I can.

  • (CP4) Publishing Problems - zipping a .swf file

    Hello... please help!
I have 3 presentations due in my LMS tomorrow. Each one has been imported from powerpoint. Each one includes .swf animations. Each one has a quiz with infinite attempts options and navigations buttons to restart presentation, take quiz again, or quit (for exampls).
Only one of these presentations is publishing properly (and working smoothly in the LMS).
The problem, when I publish a .swf and zip it, the .swf movie size is 0, and the question pool size is Huge. As a test I only have one quesion in my question pool. I've cross referenced the working file against the two that don't work and cannot find what I've done differently between them.
Anyone have any suggestions? The pressure is on and I am out of ideas.......... thank you
    Dexy

    Hello,
I do not understand why you do not let CP do the zipping while publishing? In the zip-file created by CP all the necessary files will be included. I could upload the zip to our LMS as a package and let it unzip by the LMS and start the HTML-file.
If you want reporting to the LMS (scoring of the quiz) you need a to publish to a SCORM-object, which is also a zipped file with all what is necessary.
So please, tell me why you want to zip yourself?

  • Publishing problems in HTML5

I have a course that I need to publish in swf and HTML5 output. I am using a custom player skin (widget) which I downloaded from the eLearning Brothers template library. When I publish with HTML5 selected, the TOC button does not show up, some of the colors in the widget are off, and my flv videos do not fill the screen. I do not have any of these problems when I publish in swf only. Is there a way to pinpoint the HTML issues that captivate is having?
