Bp search results layout

Hi,
Can you pls. help us add the bp type on the layout of bp search results?  Currently, the search results layout only shows the bp no., first name and last name in the interaction center while the description (bp's full name and city) is included when you search using the bp tcode.
Thanks,
Theresa

I did end up implementing ACE. It does solve the issue.... But now when a user creates a new BP. The ACE tables are not getting updated allowing other users to see the BP. I can go in and deactivate/activate manually and it shows up but shouldn't this be automatic.
Thanks,

  • TREX Search Result Layout: Can you change it?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to have different flavors for the TREX Search Result Layout?
    Ideally would be through the use of parameters in the typical TREX URL.  I know that "Navigation.xml" file is hard-coded.....
    Thanks.

    Hi Thilo,
    Thanks.
    But I want to use my new LayoutSet using the URL-based interface to TREX:
    https://xxxx.xxxx.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.service?startpage=searchpage&configfilename=navigation.xml&resourcelisttype=com.sapportals.wcm.searchresultlist&searchtype=ctrlpers&selectedsearchin=from_here&selectedsearchfromhere=/room_extensions/cm_stores/pm_storage/workspaces/d4919b6d-ff00-0010-439b-9a59dec17c56&querystring=dog&searchvisible=false&showoptions=false&allowedsortprops=false&selectedsearchaction=fuzzy&selectedmatchesperpage=5&enablesearchsorting=false.

  • Own Search Result Layout Set

    Hi,
    as following the document "How to remove the 'details' link from the search results page" (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/how to remove the details link from the search results page.pdf) we copied the SearchResultLayoutSet and renamed it.
    Now we changed the own SearchResultCollection Renderer of FlexibleUI via the KM User Interface to fit our requirements.
    To activate our own SearchResultLayoutSet we updated the file /etc/search.oth to use it instead of the standard one. It was necessary to reload the OTH with the following steps (EP6 SP2 Patch3):
    - Activate UI Superusers (wdfproxy)
    - Then a link “Rendering Information” within the Search page Results will be displayed.
    - Clicking this the Debug info page opens, here the button "Reload OTH" was available.
    - Clicking this, the OTH is reloaded and the new own layout set is activated.
    Now, when we moved to patch 27. This procedure differs a little:
    - Activate UI Superusers (wdfproxy)
    - Then a link “Rendering Information” within the Search page Results will be displayed.
    - Clicking this the Debug info page opens, here the button "Reload OTH" is not available anymore, instead there is a link "OTH Overview".
    - Clicking this, the OTH overview with a "Reload" button appears.
    - But clicking the reload button does not have the desired result: search.oth reloaded and the new own layout set is activated.
    How can a own SearchResultLayoutSet be activated globally in the Search OTH? Is there another way with Patch 27?
    Thanks,
    Erik

    Hi Erik,
    I mean it appears most likely to be an error in the
    location or contents of the search.oth file. If no
    errors are showing up in the log, I would guess the
    modified content is not being found. I think you need
    to check some of your basic assumptions. Try looking
    at the oth folder as a WebFolder and verify that the
    file is there and has the expected content.
    Another thing you might consider is making a different
    oth change that you can verify is taking place to
    check whether the oth is actually reloading.
    Also, if somehow the search criteria in the oth file
    are messed up, then it might silently (without an error)
    just not work, since, although it would be properly
    loaded into the oth, the critera would never get matched
    at runtime.
    I hope that gives you a couple of things to try to close
    in on your problem.

  • How can I edit the product search results layout?

    Hi,
    I am looking to edit the layout of {module_productresults} on my site. At present it is displaying what looks like the full size image that has been added to the site, I need to get this to display the same size as I have on my product pages if possible.
    Appreciate any help or pointers to get me in the right direction.
    Thanks,

    Here is all the info and layout information:
    http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/dev-assets/reference#!/module-reference/e-commerce/module _productresults.html
    And it does support custom layouts.

  • How to change search result list entries?

    Hi together,
    I'd like to fit the TREX search result list to my own requirements. I've edit the Search Result Renderer Settings, Search Result Layout Set, Search Component Set and the Search Option Set. But that's not enough.
    1.) I would like to display the relevant index name, in which the document was found.
    2.) For special indexes (not for all!) I want to change the content link:
    For example: if TREX is finding an xml-File in index "abc_index" I would like to change the content link from
    "https://portalserver/irj/go/km/docs/folder/p76.xml" to
    "https://portalserver/irj/go/km/docs/folder/p76.htm"
    and from
    "https://portalserver/irj/go/km/docs/folder/p76_data.xml" to
    "https://portalserver/irj/go/km/docs/folder/p76.htm"
    3.) I'd like to display a special part of the document as a explanatory text in the result list.
    I think point 1 and 3 are possible with properties and HTML-extractors. But point 2 I'm afraid I have to create my own component.
    But how to manage this? I cannot find any code snippets or tutorials or pattern to copy and develop further.
    Is it possible or advised to write a WebDynpro? Are there other possibilities? I don't know how to start.
    I would be pretty delighted to get any idea...
    Thanks a lot
    Steffi

    Hi Stefanie
    1) If you want to be able to show the name instead, you should write your own property renderer. Heres the link for the documentation: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c739e546-0701-0010-53a9-a370e39a5a20 -> How to Implement Flexible UI
    Components -> Property Renderer
    2) Documentation will be send in a matter of minutes.
    3) I also think the web property extractors only work with the web repository manager, because as far as I know that is the only repository manager, where you can select a web property extractor upon creation. I guess you could open an OSS to SAP and ask if its not possible to extract properties in your scenario just to be sure if its not possible. But my guess is that you either have to develop your own repository manager or publish your files on a web server in order to meet your requirements.

  • Search results when accessed always opens in a new window

    Hi,
         We are using WPC to develop web pages. We have created a Header component that contains the
    search option and embedded in the framework so that it is available in all the web pages. An iview has
    been created using the Header. The issue we are facing is that whenever the 'Search' button available
    on the header is clicked the search results are launched in  NEW window rather than within the current
    window.
    We have made sure that the iView Properties of the Header for "Launch in New Window" options is set
    to - "Display in Portal Content Area". But still No luck.
    I have also checked for the workprotect mode and it looks fine. Any pointers as to how the search
    results can be displayed within the current active window rather than opening in a NEW window? Let me
    know if I am missing anything.
    We use the EPCM.doNavigate(advancedSearchURL) to launch the search results.

    Hi Vijaya
    You would have to develop your own property renderer that sets the target to parent instead of blank, and create a property based upon the property renderer, and reference this property in the search result layout set.
    The desired functionality cannot be obtained through "normal customization" even though some of the iview properties indicates that.
    You can search for the documentation with regards to how to create a custom property renderer.

  • No Search Results page in Responsive HTML5 Output.

    Hello,
    I am using RoboHelp HTML version 11.0.3 and have just finished my second help project, which I need to publish in Responsive HTML5 format. I had already published one project for some new software designed to run on iOS devices using the Responsive HTML5 format for that as well. Despite some issues with the Theme1 screen layout being corrupted, which I was able to resolve by importing another screen layout, I was able to get that project released. When I compiled this latest project, however, I get several errors stating that "The Search Results widget is not allowed in the Topic Screen layout page. No Search Result layout page is present in the screen layout - the search textbox will not work as expected."
    Long story short, when the project is compiled and I view the result, there is no search control to open a search page see first image below). Instead a search field is displayed at the bottom of the initial page (see second image) and sure enough, if I enter a term in there and click the search button, I get an index of all the files in my project (as opposed to a proper list of results).
    I'm not sure why this is happening when I'm literally using the same exact screen profile as in the other project. I'm experiencing other display/formatting issues as well like some of my headings not displaying properly, the text in the header not displaying properly, and so on (these are things I experienced with the original corrupted profile, but this is the NEW profile I imported to resolve those issues). The main issue is the search page though.
    Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so, can you offer a solution. I need to get this project properly compiled and released.
    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
    Dave

    Hi Willam,
    Sorry, not sure what happened with the previous post.
    That’s what I did to begin with. Since I knew that layout worked for me and took care of the issues with the corrupt (Theme1) layout for the other project, I imported that into the current project. There seems to be something wrong with the layout or the project itself, though, now. Whenever I compile the project I get multiple errors stating the Search result widget isn’t allowed in the Topic screen layout page. I even created a completely new project, imported all my topics from the previous project, and imported the layout again and still it keeps giving me the error that the Search result widget is not allowed in the Topic screen layout page.
    I don’t think this has anything to do with iOS, since I’m seeing the issues when viewing the help file on both a laptop and PC; haven’t even viewed it on a device yet. At any rate, I just don’t understand why I’m getting all these errors, having all these issues with the Responsive HTML5 format. It’s been especially frustrating since I thought I had already resolved the layout issue.
    Any other ideas??
    Thanks,
      Dave

  • Main Portal search results

    hey
    My question is how can I get the main portal search box to display "no results found" when there are no results????
    Thanks

    Hi Oren
    Doesn't the portal display "No matches have been found" per default if there are no hits?
    What do you see instead?
    No matter what, you can modify this message in the collection renderer for your search result layout set through the attribute "Style for Info Used in Empty Collection, Bundle File for Empty Collection and Key for Info Used in Empty Collection".

  • How to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search pop

    I need to hide the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search popup. Can anyone tell me how to do it?
    This popup is used when the user is on a query (rendered by the af:query component) and they select click the "Save..." button. The have three options, Set as Default, Run Automatically, and Save Results Layout. I have an implementation that supports everything except saving the layout. So I need to hide that checkbox.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    For anybody else who needs to do this, here is how I did it.
    Add this to your css
    /* This hides the Save Results Layout checkbox on the Create Saved Search screen */
    span[id$='saveLayout'] {
    visibility: hidden;
    }

  • Customize the layout set used when opening a folder in search result list?

    Hi,
    I have created a search result iView that uses a predefined search query to show a list of folders. If I click on a folder <i>(rnd:displayname(contentLink)</i>) its content is displayed in a new window. Here the layout set Consumer Explorer (default profile?) is used.
    I want to use a custom layout set in this window. How can I achieve this?

    You can either check the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/Implementing%20Flexible%20UI%20One-Step-Screenflow.article">Implementing Flexible UI One-Step-Screenflow</a> tutorial by Thilo Brandt or search here on SDN for "UI Command implementation" examples.

    Normally, as you can see in the above mentioned <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/25/59bb2eece725498427334e0e21b80c/content.htm">Priority of Settings</a>, whenever the KM Navigation component (com.sap.km.cm.navigation) is opened without a specific layout set the global default layout set is used. As you can give this parameters by different ways (as URL parameter, in the KM Navigation iView configuration, via OTH file definition, hardcoded or configured in the configuration of an UI Command, etc.) it is nearly impossible to find <b>all</b> situation where your users will get this default profile.
    The UI Commands (with selection) you mentioned like "copy","move","create_link" use the configured LayoutSet (ConsumerOnlyFolderSelector) from the KM Configuration (of the command).

    One idea would be to use the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/0f/764b87dfb948fcb13fd7695e157892/content.htm">Multiple Property Replacement</a> feature by SAP.
    > Can you give me a hint on the other possibilities you

    Of course. One other possibility I have in mind is to work with OTH files. You might also search here on SDN to see how to use them for setting the layout set for specific folder paths.
    Hope this helps,

  • Search result category with a custom layout set?

    Greetings,
    I've created a nice little search IVIEW with a custom search options set that will display the document category (taxonomy) in the search result (if the resulting document is categorized, of course.)  Works great.  However there is one little problem.  The categories in the search results are hyperlinked and when you select one, you get a new window with the taxonomy rendered in the default layout set (the ConsumerExplorer I think.)  Not good.  I need this displayed in a custom layout set.
    Any ideas how to make this hyperlink use a custom layout set without changing the default?
    Regards,
    Paul Federighi

    Hi Paul,
    As per my knowledge of the basic s of layout sets and iviews.
    You want to change the layout set of the iview(window) which opens when u click the hyperlink.
    You should do this:
    1)Make a new layout set by customizing the default one.
    2)If the iview opening is a standard iview then go to its properties and change the Layout set value to ur new layout.
    Please revert in case of issues.
    I hope it helps.

  • How to change the layout set for Search Results

    Hi gurus.
    I’m developing a search component for KM Search iView, and as a requirement the layout must change dynamically to display the search results.  How do I get this to happen?
    public SearchParamsMap getSearchParamsMap() {
         SearchParamsMap m = new SearchParamsMap();
              try {
              IQueryEntryList list =                   this.createQuery();

                   SearchParamConst.SEARCH_FROM_FOLDER);
              m.put(SearchParamConst.PARAM_SEARCH_FOLDER, path);
              return m;
    private IQueryEntryList createQuery() throws WcmException {

              IQueryEntryList qel = sqb.buildSearchQueryList();

    In the createQuery() method, code searchParameters.put(

    I have the same question.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • How to display File Title instead of File Name in Search Results

    Hello All,
    I want to display the File Title instead of File name in the search results. For example when i do the search for the HTML Pages i get the File Names i.e. Index.html However i want 'HTML Page Title' to be displayed instead of File Name.
    Please help in this.
    Full points guaranteed...
    Vaib

    Hi Vaib,
    first, the search result is displayed with some layout set. The standard layout set used is the SearchResultLayoutSet. This uses the StandardSearchResultRenderer as it's collection renderer. And this in fact renders the display name and not the ID: <i>rnd:displayname(contentLink/[1;2-3]/alignTop/space-right=30)</i> within "Displayed Properties". Maybe on your site the default settings have been changed.
    For how to use a different layout set etc see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2a/4ff640365d8566e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm for details.

  • Setting Custom Master page in search results page - Publishing site

    Hi,
    I have a publishing site, in which i have a custom Master page.
    However when doing the search in the site, the search results does not show the custom Master page.
    Is it possible to set the custom created Master page for the search results page? How to achieve this?
    Thanks

    Hi Venkat,
    The search page for a publishing site is a file available in the layouts folder (I believe it is the osssearchresults.aspx if you see the address bar). It is used by all web applications and site collections in your farm. So ideally you should not change
    it. I mean you can change it to point to your master page but it is bad practice ..
    I would instead do the following
    1. Create a custom search results web part page and place it in the site collection itself (one of the document libraries)
    2. Custom search results is not difficult because all search results pages are made of a set of Out of the box search results web parts. If you add the same webparts to your page as the default search results page, you have effectively created a copy of
    it
    3. go to site settings --> search settings and change the search results page to your newly created page
    4. The newly created page by virtue of its location will automatically use the master page the rest of the site uses.
    I could not spend the time to try the above for you but I am sure the above will work.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Create Link does not work in a Search Result (SearchResultLayoutSet)

    Hello,
    we changed  in a search iView the "Layout Set for Search Results" to the standard ConsumerExplorer. Because we would like to allow people to "Create Links" from the documents which are shown in the search result. But the Create Link function is showing the following error:

    The item you are attempting to access is not available. Check that the name or link is correct. You might also check whether the associated repository is currently accessible.
    Does any can help and guide which part could responsible for that behaviour?
