Inform, please, somebody by experience, what existed variants of realization of maintenance the Business partner (with other master data objects) without the device in IS-U.
Billing of such Business partner should be carried out "based on demand" (multiplication of demand to time of consumption).

It's well. But if then install the device, but to save an opportunity billing on the facts of installation? How to realize in system an opportunity billing by both ways?

You are correct if you choose to use only the dynamic profiling policies. However, when you use supplicant provisioning the device then gets statically assigned the registereddevices endpoint identity group. Future release should set an attribute for the endpoint (this is my assumption) while maintaining the dynamic profiling based on the endpoint OS.

Import MAX configuration without device or simulated device

I'm hoping there's a way to do this.
In previous versions of MAX, it was possible to import Channel and Task information without having to import the Device. This was handy if you didn't have the DAQ boards installed on that PC, but you needed to check Task and Channel information.
I'm currently trying to import an .nce file from a project where I'd used a USB6008 as the DAQ device. I don't have access to one of those at the moment and it's one of the devices that cannot be simulated.
I have tried simulating a similar device with hopes of somehow "tricking" it to import. So far, no luck.
Does anyone know of a way I can have a look at the Channel and Task information in that .nce file or possibly fanagle it into importing without or with another simulated device?

Hi pallen,
I actually don’t know of a way to change the configuration in the .nce file. It's a binary file which main use is to import and export complete configurations when you do not need to edit that configuration outside of MAX. The .ini and .txt are intended for editing outside of MAX. However you can always import the .nce in MAX, make the changes needed and export a .ini to your final destination. Sorry that this is not too helpful on your current situation.

All audio crackling through any device connected to iPhone 4 - audio fine without device connected

I have an iPhone 4 and every time I plug in a set of headphones or attempt to connect the car cable to the iphone it does not play correctly. All audio that I attempt to play through either headphones or the car jack cracklings very badly, and the sounds I play are unrecognizable. The headphones are not broken they work with my computer. The jack is not broken it works with other iphones. It makes no sense at all, I had this problem a week ago, it resolved itself, and now once again I can not play audio from my iPhone other than with its native speakers.
Why would any device connected to the iPhone cause it to crackle and his and become unplayable? Like I said, it works fine without headphones or a car jack. Once I try to connect a device it malfunctions terrible and starts crackling before I even attempt to play audio
Just upgraded to 6.1.3, it did not fix it.

Just to update for the last time. I have realised that if the bluetooth is paired to the car the music sound either does not play or plays for around a minute then cuts out. This still happens even if I disconnect the bluetooth connection. However if I delete the phone completely out at the car and cancel the pairing, the music plays fine no issues.
I guess somehow it is therefore based around the bluetooth. I have checked all menus I can find on the car and the phone to make sure there is no setting wrong somewhere. I cannot understand why it plays for a short time and then stops, seems like an intermittant fault ???

StageOrientation without device auto-orientation

There are lots of docs and posts online about being able to use StageOrientation without a device orientation itself having to change (disabling auto-orientation). I have tried autoOrients set to false and the alternative event.preventDefault ... but nothing works. Adobe Flash always changes the device orientation when I get StageOrientation.
Is there a sample I can download? I have tried every publishing and Actionscript 3 setting/combination and it just isn't working. Auto orientation seems to be the only way to use StageOrientation.
I am using latest Adobe Flash CC 2014 and can get the app to either auto orientate and show me the StageOrientation value, or lock the orientation and get not StageOrientation value. I tried this on a few ios devices and cannot get this working right. Please help.

The docs say "In some cases you may want to disable auto-orientation to ... handle resizing the stage and rotating objects yourself. You can accomplish this with ... autoOrients property and set it to false. While you will still receive the ORIENTATION_CHANGE and ORIENTATION_CHANGING events when the actual device orientation changes, the stage will not update to try and match that orientation."
This does not work in practice however (keeping in mind I have used various combinations of true and false autoOrients and preventDefault - nothing works as described, until setting autoOrients to true, but then the orientation changes, even when I use preventDefault as described in the docs!?):

Shattered iPod touch screen; add passcode without device

A couple months ago, I shattered the screen on my 4th generation iPod touch. Today I went to unlock my iPod touch and it wouldn't slide where it says "slide to unlock". I turned off my iPod and turned it back on and it automatically came up with the screen that says "enter passcode", I entered my passcode and it automatically unlocked without having to do the "slide to unlock". I went to my settings and took off the passcode thinking that it would also take off the step where you had to slide to unlock. The next time I went to unlock the iPod, it just showed the slide to unlock, which still wouldn't slide over. I turned it off and back on and it didn't show the "enter passcode" and instead just went straight to "slide to unlock" which still wouldn't slide over. My dad who happens to work for apple took a look at it and noticed that the bottom left corner was missing a piece if the screen which was causing that corner of the screen to not function, and therefore not letting me slide to unlock it. So basically my question is, is replacing the screen my only option or is there any possible way for me to put a passcode back on it (since I was able to unlock it with a passcode) without using the device since I cannot unlock it?

Telstra Staff Connect Plan without Device

I have recently joined Telstra and I am trying to apply for Telstra Staff Connect Plan but I do not need a new device right now. The Telstra online store portal doesn't allow to apply without selecting a device. Is there a way to apply for casual staff connect plan without selecting a device?

Netcfg - no connection, interface without devices connected

I have two interfaces eth0, eth1
eth0 (DHCP) - connect to router, provide internet
eth1 (STATIC IP) - connect with print server in my printer
- I expect interface should up without need to have powered on device connected to it
Everything worked fine, when interfaces were configured with /etc/rc.conf.
Now I configured network with netcfg and:
eth0 - up and everything ok
eth1 - no starts up, when no device is connected (powered off device connected) to this ethernet card
log:

4. the second interface will fail to start up

Now I configured second interface - eth1 the old way in /etc/rc.conf:
eth1="eth1 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255 mtu 1492"
INTERFACES=(eth1)
While eth0 is configured by netcfg profile.
Both interfaces works. But my problem is not solved, because both interface should be configured in netcfg.
I think netcfg check if network is available and doesn't start eth1 interface, while device configured the old way in /etc/rc.conf doesn't perform this check. There should be option to disable it in netcfg profile.

Using transforms and filters without device drivers

Hello,
I came across NIMS as a possible solution for some transforms and filtering, possibly even generating test signal data, for a seismic application. I'm in the process of evaluating NIMS for best possible fit for what we need/want to accomplish.
Basically, we've got some seismic data, and we want to process that data through a series of transforms and filters to denoise and pick the data for seismic analysis. No sense reinventing the wheel if we can adopt and then adapt a third-party library like NIMS into our app.
We do not necessarily need any device drivers, although I noticed installing NIMS requires them. Hopefully we can opt in or out depending on what's actually required. Can someone help clarify the nature of the driver dependency?
Anyhow, like I said I am evaluating it for best possible fit in our application, but in the meantime if someone can shed some light on the above concerns, questions, etc, would begreat.

Activating icloud without device

Hey I recently lost my phone and I was wondering if there is a way to activate my iphones icloud without having it in my possession so I can locate its whereabouts

I am seeing an old iPhone listed in my devices under iCloud > settings (on icloud.com). I recently got a new iPhone and upgraded other devices to ios8.
- I do not see this device in my list of devices under find my iPhone.
- I not longer have this device as it was sent in for trade-in
- Device was erased prior to being shipped back
- backup of this device has been removed from icloud
- I have logged out of iCloud and powered off all iOS devices which had this account on them
- I have disconnected family sharing from this account
- I have logged out of all accounts in iCloud settings

Any suggestion on how to remove this device?

The same thing happened to me.
Saturday I got an iPhone 6 and I traded in my 4S at Best Buy to get a gift card to use towards the 6. At the time of trade in, I turned off Find My iPhone and erased all the data on it.
When I got home I went through everything to make sure it was removed from my account, but it still shows up under settings on icloud.com (nowhere else though). I spoke with Apple customer service and they said it was nothing to worry about, and that it would drop off there once someone used the device with another Apple ID.
I am still a little concerned though, because I tried signing my 6 out of my icloud account just now, and it instantly disappeared from the device list in icloud.com's settings. My old 4S is still there, in the list that says "You are signed in and using iOS 8 on these devices"

If this started after updating iTunes, and you still have problem after doing the above, likely you will have to wait for a update to iTunes.

Capturing without device control

Hello,
We're running an analog signal from our switcher to a converter that hooks up to a PC through a firewire connection. When we launch Premiere Pro, it doesn't detect the video signal. We can't see or record the video signal. We are able to view that signal in MovieMaker, so we know it's not an issue with the computer, but rather Premiere Pro.
Anyone have any idea how we can make this work? Thanks for your help

You could try Scenalyzer Live from www.scenalyzer.com if your input is DV on the FireWire. Great capture program - much better than Premiere. Free try-before buy download which is fully functional but watermarks some frames.

[SOLVED]Video device file switches when starting Motion in daemon mode

I am not sure whether this should be here or in Kernel and Hardware.
Motion live stream shows gray frame which says "Unable to open video device" and /var/log/errors.log gives:
Failed to open video device /dev/video0: No such file or directory
Could not fetch initial image from camera
Motion continues using width and height from config file(s)
When I plug my Philips SPC1300NC webcam in it shows up as a recognized usb device, both by lsusb and under /dev. Initially it comes in as /dev/video0, but after running motion the device file is /dev/video1. If I kill motion, the device file still being video 1, and edit the configuration file (/etc/motion/motion.conf) to use /dev/video1 instead of /dev/video0 the device file name changes back when I start motion. It is always opposite of whatever I have in the configuration file.

SOLUTION
I wasn't thinking about the draw for the camera and was trying to just have it powered through the usb on a raspberry pi (need a powered usb hub). I am not sure however why the device file switches when there is not enough power, so if you come across this an know please post a reply.
