Bpartner value to be added in data source

Dear SDN Experts,
am facing 1 issue for CRM data source. There is activity generation module used in CRM where bpartner value has been configured under PARTNERS tab. I am able to extract this transaction data using 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 but the particular partner value mentioned in the tab is not getting extracted in this data source.
Business has demanded this field in BW report, so I want to enhance the data source but I am not able to find out in which table of CRM this partner value gets stored against each transaction.
Please help me if any1 has faced similar issue.

Hello Satya,
I have tried using that BAPI function but when I use it in the extractor, the internal table eats lot of memory and extractor ends with no temp space memory error. That's why I tried searching for the basic tables where transactional data gets stored.

We are upgrading ECC from EHP6 to EHP7. We have custom data source which is build on custom Info set and Info set is built on Pooled table ZXXX. Datasource is showing the junk values in RSA3 after upgrade. I have re-generated the Info set and tested but no use. Below is the RSA3 data screen shot. Can anyone suggest me to oversome this?

Hi Prasad,
Few things to check:
1. Pooled table data for which the datasource is created.
2. Reactivate the extract structure - check the dataelement also for date.
3. Is there any custom code present in Infoset? - if yes then it may be possible that dates are being calculated in that custom code and wrong format is being used there.

How adding a data source-data destination inside SSIS 2012-SSDT

I need to see inside a SSIS 2012 project a new SSIS installed component but in the SSDT 2010 I cannot see the SSIS Data Flow Items tab for adding data source/data destination respect to the choose toolbox items pane:
It seems a SSIS bug.
Any helps to me, please?

Hi,
In SQL 2012 you are no longer required to manually pick the tasks and components you want to use. You have to select from the new custom SSIS Toolbox to use the additional components you need.

Adding multiple data sources for P6 Analytics Star 3.4

I need to extract data from 3 data sources and put into one star. I installed the necessary software, did the necessary configurations as per the documentation provided.
Example:
C:\star_1\star\etl_homes\staretl
C:\star_1\star\etl_homes\staretl02
C:\star_1\star\etl_homes\staretl03
When I run the staretl process for 2nd source or 3rd source, I am not sure why the startetl.properties in C:\star_1\star\etl_homes\staretl\res is getting updated (Source changes to 2nd source or 3rd source as per the run). DBLINK01 is also getting changed.

is it possible to define folders as file data source within the bi publisher, which are NOT located on the server where the bi publisher is installed?

You'll never see that appear on an .html page. Change it to .asp and see what happens.
However, you have other problems. As far as I know, Access 2007 accdb database are not supported at all in DW. You can still build the site in DW, but you won't be able to use DW server behaviors and will have to code all of your scripts by hand. Or, you can try saving your file as an mdb.
In reality, I've never found that DW server behaviors good get me 100% of what I need on a project - so you'll have to learn ASP/VBScript and SQL anyway.
Also, what is the expected volumn on this site? Access databases do not handle concurrent users well.

Adding data source-JDBC

I have another problem on adding data source on EID. When I try adding a data source on EID as a JDBC source I get error that says "Could not establish a connection"..Do you tell me step by step what I have to do when I add a data source on Endeca? My data has based on SQL 2008.

I don't know anything about the specific format of a connection URL for SQL 2008. That should be fairly standard, though.

Some Heirarchy values missing in Data Source : 0COSTCENETER_0101_HIER

Hi Gurus,
Three Heirachy values are not coming to 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER.
In R/3, we are able to see Heirarchy values using TCODE - KSH3.
But same values are not coming to Data source : 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER when we run RSA3.
We couldn'tfind out link between KSH3 and our Data Source. Do we need to activate the Heirarchies some where in R/3 to get in to RSA3.
Can you any body help us. As this issue is very urgent.

You need to refresh the OLTP tree in Infopackage in BW ,you can see all hierarchies present.
Select one by one through radio button and load the data in SAP BW.
In hierachy selection there is a option Available hierarchy from OLTP.
Just click on that and you can see all the hierarchies in SAP BW.

Tomcat 6/Java/mySql: Data source name not found

I installed the following on my laptop which has a Windows 2000 operating system:
- ODBC Connector for mySql
- the MySql Connector/J for Java
ODBC
In the Data Source ODBC Administrator of the Control panel I added a Data Source name for the mySql Database:
Data Source Name: mysql
Server: localhost
Database: mysql
When I click the Test button I get the message: Success; Connection was made!

You seem to be specifying JDBC driver while you are trying to connect to your database using ODBC,

Error regarding to the configuration of "Data Source" in Struts-config.xml

Any 1 just help me out. I am using NetBeans 4.1 bundeled with Sun App server 8.1. Now I wanted to make the database connectivity with the front -end using"Data-source" tag in the struts-config.xml file . I am using the Oracle 9i as database.But I am not able to do it , it's showing me again and again error.I got realy fed up with this. I have checked the code as well as the the struts-config.xml file syntaxes with many other books and online resources, I couldn't find any sort of anomaly over here.So some 1 plzz help me regarding this as early as possible.I am attaching the Struts-config .xml file code as well as the error messaage over here.

Simulation Vs Real in Generic Data Source

Hi ,
I have got a generic data source based on Function Module. In the FM it is actually updating some mapping tables. I would like to update those tables only when extractor is actually executed using Infopackage or using DTP(Direct access). But don't want to update other tables when data source is executed using RSA3 simulation mode.
Is there a way to find whether data source is run in simulation or real in the Function Module?
I found 0REQUID is getting value as TEST when executing data source in simulation (RSA3), but I can't hard code just this in my function module as this can be changed to any thing in future.

Problem changing SQL data source at runtime with VB6 and CR XI

We have several VB6 programs using CR XI and are able to pass a DSN to change data source with Access DB that works just fine.
We are using similar code in another program to change the data source in an SQL DB and get an error... Failed to Open the Connection.
This is a sample of what works with Access but not SQL DB:

Hi Carole,
When using SQL types you need more than just the DSN name. CR does keep the password in the report file and all SQL types are usually password protected.
Try this simple code:
First log onto the server:
rpt.database.LogOnServerEx("crdb_odbc.dll, pServerName, [pDatabaseName], [pUserID], [pPassword], [pServerType], [pConnectionString])
The ConnectionString is the complete line. Run in debug mode and display what the reprot is using and you can see the format it requires.
Once logged on now you can set the location for each table:
'report connection properties
        With rpt.Database.Tables(1)
            .ConnectionProperties("User ID").Value = "sa"
            .ConnectionProperties("Password").Value = "YourPassword"
            .ConnectionProperties("Data Source Name").Value = "Your DSN Name"

Authentication error with Yammer Data Source

Hi,
I want to show Yammer post in my Siena application (Beta 3). I have added Yammer data source by providing Client id (by registering app) and provided
redirect URL as my organization Yammer page (https://www.yammer.com/******.com).
However when I try any function it ask for credentials twice and give error “There was an error in retrieving sample data. Error : An error occurred
during authentication”.
Can you please let me know if I am missing something. I tried giving different redirect URLs
(viz. http://bing.com), but same error.
I tried solution suggested
here but no luck .

I want to use an Excel source for a financial report . This excel document has financial data for prevoius year and does not need refreshing.
It has approximately 27200 rows and columns from A to M.

LCM Migration - Instance name? Shared services project Name ? Data source?

Situation
* We have hyperion 11.1.1.3.24
* Objective - trying to perform a LCM file-migration from our DEV environment to UAT
* DEV has only one PMA enabled Planning Application (“budget”), few FR reports & other related artifacts.
So far
* Successfully Exported these 4 (EPMA, Shared-services, Planning & FR) from our DEV
* When trying to import EPMA into our UAT, noticed the status shows Failed. (Noticed Similar claims have been reported in other posts as well.)
Another dilemma that I have it what should I enter on these Instance Name, Shared services Project name & Data source.
* Instance Name ===> ? Not sure. how to find this?
* Shared services project ===> Haven't created one at all. So, which one should I use OR how to find this out ?
* Data Source ===> I guess, this would be the EPMA repository database name ?
Although I can Migrate all the Artifacts into our UAT (as identical to our DEV), Migration status has shown as "Failed". Is this because of the fact I skipped the Destination options with blank values (for Instance, shared-services & data-source). Has anyone ever had success on this Migration step.
OR Should I disregard this migration status, just because we can see all identical artifacts in our UAT.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you log into EPMA and pick an application and select deploy (don't worry you don't have to deploy you can cancel it before you do so),
it will display a popup which will have the
Instance Name (usually default), Shared Services Project (drop down will display different application groups available), Data Source (this is the name you gave when you created the datasource for the application)

Setting Query Data Source Arguments Property for Block with TYPE Procedure

Hi,
I have a block whose type is 'Procedure', this returns a PL/SQL table.
I pass an IN OUT variable declared in the Package header and all works well.
What I need to know is how, if I have ANOTHER argument, how do I set it programatically prior to EXECUTE_QUERY.
I can see how to set the Name and Value manually at the "Query Data Source Arguments" property but if I need to set it dynamically in the code how would I do it.

CrystalRpts - Excel Data source, SQLServer2005 table. SQL Query behavior?

Greetings - What should be a simple report (with Excel 2007 spreadsheet as primary data source linking to a SQLServer 2005 table ) returns incorrect results. Query designed to select data from SQL Table with 'DATES >=' certain date, but data returned ignores the DATE qualifier.
Running DATE query manually against the SQL Table proves the data is correct.
Anyone notice problems with SQL Query behavior when mixing data sources? Thanks.

Take the SQL that works outside of CR and then create a new report and add all data sources. Now use a Command Object and paste in your SQL. YOu may have to play with adding each data source in a different order. If that works great if not you'll have to figure out a way to get all the data into one source.
I believe MS SQL Server can link multiple data sources and types. Check SQL Help file for more info it it is possible.
