BPC 10.0 Unrestricted availability to customers

Dear Experts,
Our client is asking us to implement BPC 10.0 for SAP NW
I checked the SMP and saw that it is in Acitve Ramp-up stage and it says Restricted availability productive use allowed. When I went to SWDC to download, I don't see the software to download. Below are my queries :
1. Is BPC 10.0 available for customers to use?
2. What is restricted available productive use allowed means?
3. What is the unrestricted available date of BPC 10.0?
4. Can we implement BPC 10.0 restricted available for our customer?
Please help ASAP.

Hi,
There is no speficied date for GA of BPC 10.0 as of now, as ramp up completion is determined by reaching certain KPI's like the number of clients live, outstanding OSS messages.
SAP BPC 10.0 NW - RAMPUP Exit Date Estimate is 20th February 2012.
Tentatively it may be available in Feb 2012.
You can contact the SAP Sales Division about this or wait until BPC 10.0 is made GA.

BPC 10.0 Certification availability

Hi,
Can anyone has idea about the certification for BPC 10.0 availability from SAP?
Also usually how much time takes between the product general availability and certification availability.
For HANA it looks quite less thats why I have this question.

Unfortunately, there is no "official" ramp up date, only a "target".

Current target for BPC10 is Dec15 (subject to change, blah, blah, blah). Check back often for updates.

Is the BPC NW in General Availability?

Hello all, I am interested in installing BPC 70 NW. but it is confused to me to determine what is the right version. Is the NetWeaver version in GA? the original date was March but now it looks it changed.
Where can I get that information??

Hi Bryan, we are not able to find the link for downloading BPC 70 NW. We were not able to find it, only folund the Microsoft Version.
In the Product Availability Matrix says " Default Release" with status available.
Can you confirm the product is available for downloading?

I am trying to update my apps on my iPod Touch and it comes up with the above message. I have also tried updating it on iTunes on my computer but on my computer account it doesn't even mention my bought apps as bought and just prompts me to but it. As Danny already suggested, you can try logging into the
PartnerSource link with your CustomerSource account:

It looks like you can log in with a PartnerSource or
CustomerSource account and register for the training. When you click for more details, it asks you to log in with one of those types of accounts. It may not let you in though. It doesn't appear to be available for customers.

How can I find documentation on the enhancements or fixes that are released with BPC 7.5 MS. We are currently using BPC 7.0 MS.

Customer Order Assigned to Tranport Order. Stock Available ?.

Our system release is 47.200.
We are looking for run a transport order assigned to a customer order.
What happens:
We have prepared the customizing and also a user exit to have the option to work with the assigned orders.
Currently we can create the suppliers assigned orders
and also we can create assigned transport orders.
The problem appears when we want to make the expedition of the assigned transport order VL10G, then the system says that we dont have stock available and that is not true because we have stock available Unrestricted Use.
4999200004 000010 Only 0 ST of material 0401010 available
4999200004 000010 An item with no delivery quantity is not permitted.
The system looks the stock available for customers not the stock
Unrestricted Use.
Is possible to make a customer order assigned to Transport Order and this looks the stock available in the status Unrestricted Use.
If we have to make a movement every time that we have stock available for the transport assigned order.
It will not be a good process, will be very manual or if we will have to create a not standard Program sure that it will make mistakes...
We are looking for this solution and sure that in a future we will need for
the same with intersociety orders.

Hi,
I will explain our problem step by step:
1.- In our system we have made the configuration to be able the assigned orders:
When we make a customer order we can create an automatic purchasing order
if we change the item category of the customer order.
Also we can create a Transport Order.
2.- We use the Transport Orders to send material from the central warehouse to
the little warehouse.
3.- The Transport Order is similar as Purchasing Order, the different is that this
kind of order make a Picking / Delivery note in the central warehouse.
With this delivery note we make the reception in other warehouse.
4.- The problem that we have appears when we want to create
the Picking / Delivery note. with VL10G
At this moment the system says that we don't have stock available.
Our Assigned Transport Order is looking the Customer Stock Available
not the Unrestricted use stock that is our normal stock ATP and is where
we have always all our stock ATP .
5.- For prepare the delivery note I have to make a material movement
of stock to translate the Unrestricted Stock in Customers stock ATP.
If I have to make this movement every time it will be very manual and
we will do mistakes sure.
I want that the Assigned Transport Order checks the Availability with the
ATP Unrestricted Stock.
I don't know if we can do something to find an automatic solution for the ATP,
for us it will be very interesting because we can prepare this Transport orders
connected to the Customer Order and this will be great.

Hi David,
as always, this is a matter of where we are with development. Ramp up is a phase where we allow customers to work productively with the software, but be sure we have only limited number of users to be able to handle any upcoming incidents.
Once we're sure enough, we announce unrestricted availability. Usually the period is about 6 month. This means that the planned general availability is around end of this year.
Please be aware of the little word planned. This means that SAP could also shift the date to whatever seems appropriate.

As per my understanding SAP BPC 10 will be available for the ramp up customers by mid or end of May 2011. I was looking for the documents with talks about BPC 10 functionality. Was looking for documents which explains difference from 7.5 NW.

Windows 8.1 and Lenovo preloaded image - update to be available?

Hi,
I work for an organisation that buys a fair few Lenovo machines. We get them with whatever OS they are bundled with at the time and then install our own image. However, recent Lenovo machines seem to have had significant optimisations which can't be reinstated if you do a clean install, so we have been using the preloaded OS image as a base an deploying our applications on top.
Windows 8.1 looks like it may become suitable for wider use here, so I am wondering if an optimized Windows 8.1 preload will start to ship with Lenovo machines soon? And if the preload image might be available for customers who have a Windows 8 machine, to allow for a clean install without losing all the optimisations, so that we don't have to wait for the first Win8.1 machine to be delivered.

I think it's safe to say you'll start seeing Windows 8.1 preloaded system from Lenovo as soon as Windows 8.1 becomes generally available. And I think Microsoft has said this will happen sometime in October.
However Lenovo will not provide Windows 8.1 preloads for existing systems such as T430, W530, X230, etc. These systems will soon go end-of-life with the coming Haswell refresh. The Haswell systems will get Windows 8.1 preloads, but existing Ivy Bridge systems will not.
Having said that, I really don't understand what you mean about "significant optimisations which can't be reinstated if you do a clean install". Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that is preloaded that isn't available for download on our support website, except for some 3rd-party trial software like Norton, MS Office, and Absolute. Is there anything specific that you need help with recreating/reinstalling in your own image?
