BPC 7.0 NW Client Install Error

Hi Expert:
Now I met some problem in install BPC 7.0 NW Client.
At the first time, I ask me to provide the XceedZip.dll, however I do not have. So I just cancel the install process.
Then, I download the lastest version XceedZip.dll and put it into the corresponding folder.
At the second time, I told me "OSoftDMClientTools.DMTools found in registy. Please refer to administrator before install". I think this is caused by cancelling the install process.
How should I do to solve this problem?
Thank you
Regards,
Louis Lu

Hi,
one way is to manually delete the key in registry. Open the registry table by click start, run then type u201Cregeditu201D
In the menu Edit, click find then type u201Cosoftaddinu201D
Then you can delete those keys.
Then it should be possible to do the client installation again.

Sreedhar

  • 10g client install -- "Error in accessing system registry"

Yes, I am the administrator - there is just one account on my machine and it is me.
I am attempting to install 10g client in hopes of fixing another problem. Everything is a problem it seems.
    When I launch setup.exe I get ...
"Error in accessing system registry. You may not have enough permissions to modify registry. Installation cannot continue."
My environment is ... Windows 7 Pro, I do have an Oracle Express Edition installed but since I am having a 32-bit vs. 64-bit issue with an app I am developing in C# 2008 Express, I thought I would try installing the 64-bit 10g standard edition client.

    I didn't know this about Windows 7...
    http://www.blogsdna.com/2168/windows-7-how-to-open-elevated-command-prompt-with-administrator-privileges.htm
I had to open a command prompt with Administrator privileges. I was tipped off by your link which had paragraph 1.4 Managing User Accounts with User Account Control and states,
To ensure that only trusted applications run on your computer, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows 7 provide User Account Control. If you have enabled this security feature, then, depending on how you have configured it, Oracle Universal Installer prompts you for either your consent or your credentials when installing Oracle Database. Provide either the consent or your Windows Administrator credentials as appropriate.
You must have Administrator privileges to run some Oracle tools, such as Database Configuration Assistant, Net Configuration Assistant, and OPatch, or to run any tool or application that writes to any directory within the Oracle home. If User Account Control is enabled, and you are logged in as the local Administrator, then you can successfully run each of these commands in the usual way. However, if you are logged in as "a member of the Administrator group," then you must explicitly invoke these tasks with Windows Administrator privileges. All the Oracle shortcuts that require Administrator privileges will be invoked as "Administrator" automatically when you click the shortcuts. However, if you run the above tools from a Windows command prompt, you must run them from an Administrator command prompt. OPatch does not have a shortcut and has to be run from an Administrator command prompt.
I followed the instructions concerning the elevated command prompt and then tried the Oracle 10g standard edition client install. I got past the registry problem but then I ran into a Universal Installer 10.2 problem. A window popped up stating, "Abnormal program termination. An internal error has occurred. Please provide the following files to Oracle Support:"
    "Unknown"
    "Unknown"
    "Unknown"
Maybe that is due to 10g not being supported on Windows 7. So NOW I will try 11gR2. :-)

  • SCCM 2012 R2 Client install error - CcmGetOSVersion failed with 0x80070008

Getting this error message, CcmGetOSVersion failed with 0x80070008 and CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80070008.  Only thing on this error I can find is Windows Update and removing languages.  Only language installed is English.  I've pasted
the last part of the ccmsetup.log file.  Not sure if more would be needed.  I've done a complete uninstall\reinstall attempt.  Recompiled MOF files and reregistered DLL files for WMI.  Did a repository rebuild of WMI.  Nothing has
helped.  Not sure what it's checking besides WMI to get the OSversion or what that error code means.  This is the only server having this error.  Our other 700 servers have installed the client with no issues.   OS is Server 2008 SP2, NOT
R2.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Everything seems fine.  7GB of free space, 500 MB of free RAM, 5GB of page file free.  I'll reboot the server during our next maintenance window and see if that helps.  Was hoping I wouldn't have to reboot but will probably help.  Thanks
    again.

  • Client Install Errors

I'm testing deploying SCCM 2012 to SCCM 2007 clients.  The install works in the end, however both clients I've tested have both generated this same error:
.NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Windows\CCM\SCToastNotification.exe . Error code = 0x8007000b
.NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Windows\CCM\SCToastNotification.exe.config . Error code = 0x8007000b
.NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Windows\CCM\SCClient.exe.config . Error code = 0x8007000b
.NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Windows\CCM\SCToastNotification.exe . Error code = 0x8007000b

    It
doesn't seem to happen on 2012 servers.  My guess is it's because the 2008 R2 boxes only have .NET 3.5 / 2.0.  I've seen some people mention that SCCM 2012 client requires .NET 4.0, but that doesn't seem correct based on documentation I've read
and the fact that despite those errors the client installs successfully and appears to work.
ConfigMgr 2012 clients *DO* require .NET FW 4.0, which is automatically installed by ccmsetup (if not detected)
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682042.aspx
A similar issue as yours, is described here:
    http://sccmfaq.wordpress.com/2014/02/12/sccm-2012-sp1-cu4-client-update-fails-on-windows-server-2003/

In that case, do I need to worry about pushing out .NET 4.0 prior to deploying the client?  I'm assuming I can not worry about it and it will just install whatever it needs automatically.
Also, if I'm reading that correctly it only installs .NET 4.0 if you don't have a .NET 2.0 or 3.5 profile.  Servers with the errors I provided already had .NET 2.0/3.5 profiles.

Here's a blog post I did a while back on finding the meaning of standard error codes:
    http://blog.configmgrftw.com/?p=42 .
    Here's a also a supplementary KB:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944375  .
And, there are custom error codes in ConfigMgr (like 0x80004005, which is *not* Access Denied):
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632794.aspx (this is for 2007, can't find an equivalent for 2012 but I'm sure it's still applicable).

  • Installing error. SAP BPC 7.0

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to install SAP BPC 7.0 on microsoft platform in this multiserver configuration:
Server 1: Windows 2003 SP2 (US English) Application Server. WebServer. Only SQL Native Client installed.
Server 2: Windows 2003 SP2 (Spanish) SQL Server, OLAP Server, Reporting Services Server. All SQL components installed in Spanish.
Installing process is OK until Creating Appserver process when it keeps much time until an Error message appears. "Unable to create AppServer".
    any idea?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Collation specified into installation guide is required. If it is not right then some of databases or tables can not be created.
Yes SSIS has to be installed into application server is one of prerequisite software.
1433 port is not open then it is possible to have problems with comunication between application server and sql server.
1433 port is used by sql client from application server to comunicate with server.
Make sure you are using a port which is open between application server an sql server.
Port 1433 can be changed into sql server for comunication (this is default one).
So first make sure you have open the ports for SQL and SSAS open between application server and database server.
After that make sure you have the right collation into sql.

  • Cisco VPN client install fails with Error 1722 on Windows 7

    Hi,
I am having issues with laptops upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.
Prior to the upgrade they are running Cisco VPN Client 5.0.05.0290.  These laptops also have Juniper Network Connect 6.5 and Citrix web client installed.  The windows upgrade advisor made no recommendations regarding uninstalling / reinstalling these apps.
I have done an inplace upgade to Windows 7 (Windows Vista Enterprise 32bit to Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit) and after the install the Cisco client is not working.  Uninstalled the client (the uninstall was successful) then reinstalled and the installation fails at Installing Cisco Systems Virtual Adapter - error 1722 there was a problem with the windows installer package.
I have followed the steps for a manual uninstall of the Cisco client and then tried the install again - still not successful.  Interestingly (or not) the Juniper Network Connect also fails with the error The Network Connect Virtual adapter driver is not installed properly.  This also fails to reinstall after being removed.
I tried removing the VPN clients on another laptop and then running the upgrade but the same errors occured when reinstalling the VPN Client.  I have tried the Winfix and DNE patch from Citrix but these fail saying there is a corruption in the application.
On another laptop where only the Cisco VPN client was installed a reinstall was required after the upgrade, but it did install successfully.
On a clean image these applications all install fine, however I have a large number of laptops do upgrade and don't want to do a fresh install and settings migration on all of them.
What files / registry entrys are involved with the DNE adapter so I can manually clear it all out before reinstalling?
Anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?
    Cheers,
    James

You should be able to install the 64 bit version of the Cisco VPN software
    Latest version is vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe
You should download and run MCPR.exe first, to clean out any traces of McAfee products that conflict with Cisco VPN.
    http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
If there is a problem with vbscript registration on the system - there is a fixit tool from Microsoft for that:
    MicrosoftFixit50842.msi
(Using Shrew VPN is a possible workaround.)

  • TOAD giving error 'NO Oracle Client installed'

    Hi,
I have a peculiar problem. I have installed Oracle 11gr2 64bit enterprise edition and then installed Toad 10.5 Trial. All the installations were successfull and I am able to login to the DB using SQL* PLUS as well as Oracle Propitery tool SQL Developer. However when I am trying to run Toad it is saying that 'No Oracle Client installed'.
Do I need to install the client separately and try to connect the server using Toad or some other configuration in Toad can connect to the Oracle DB server.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Anirban Datta

No you don't need to install client as you have already installed the database. In the TOAD select the correct installed client home on the right hand corner and try again.
If not successful then restart your PC or re-install the TOAD again.

  • Microsoft Excel slowing down and other problems when SAP BPC EPM Add-in is installed

    Hello,
Our client is having some problems with Microsoft Excel (MS Office 2013) since the SAP BPC EPM Add-in was installed in their computers.
They are suffering from Microsoft Excel slowing down, even when not connected to SAP BPC (10.0 NW version).
For example, when opening two or more excel archives, not connected to SAP BPC, Microsoft Excel crashes and is restarted with errors.
Have you experienced something similar in other installations?
Thank you very much, and kind regards,

In relation to the previous post , we have to emphasize that we have installed in ours PC's:
    MS Office 2010  14.0.7116.5000  32 bit,
    EPM add-on version 10.0  SP20  (10.0.0.8993).
and our customer have installed in theirs PC's:
    MS Office 2013 15.0.4675.1001 32-bit.

  • BPC 5.1 SP3 Client Installs Change EnableNegotiate Registry Key

Just starting with BPC. Our first version is 5.1 SP3 and the server installation was completed successfully.
However, we have found that installing either the Admin or Office client components changes the following windows registry key on the client machine.
    Under
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
    EnableNegotiate is set to 0.
This causes the users default home page link to our Sharepoint Intranet to fail with a security error (403.1).
Uninstalling the client components does not reverse the registry key change.
Only manually changing the value of the key back to 1 resolves the issue.
Is there any way to prevent this key from being modified by the client installations?
Why is the registry key changed?  Is it critical to the functionality of the client components?
We have not seen any problems in the BPC 5.1 client applications with the EnableNegotiate key set back to 1.
I'm new in these forums.  Any input is appreciated.
    Regards,
    James Littleton

    Hi James,
Personally I never have had any issues with this registry key, might be because I do not have many customers using sharepoint.
As you already did, I would change the key and test all functions within BPC extensively, If no problems are found, you could go for it. But be carefull with upgrades of the client software of BPC
Additionaly you could ask support why this key is changed with a client install of BPC.
Instead of a client install via the BPC webportal, a lot of customers are preparing/using custom software packages like SMS. You could reset the registry key with the requred value by using these kind of packages automatically.
