BPC 7.0 NW Excel Error

Hi,
I am using BPC 7.0 NW version.
I get an error message while logging in to the Excel.
Whenever I open BPC excel, a message pops up telling
macros have been disabled.
file path: C:/program files/bpc/Ev4Excel.xla
This message has two options: Enable or Disable macros.
If I choose Enable, it display one more message
object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found
If I choose Disable also, the same message.
I have tried re-installing BPC Excel and Office 2007, but didnt help in any way.
Kindly help.

how did you overcome the problem?
After reinstalling Office 2007 I have now the same error with BPC excel client (before it worked).

SAP BPC 5.1 with Excel 2007 shows with an error..

SAP BPC 5.1 with excel 2007 does not works instead says when I open sap bpc for excel..
"Cannot download te demesntion list from the server[get server info]".An errror occurs while getting an information from the server the request failed HTTP: STATUS 401:UNAUTHORIZED" COMES IN THE BOX .
Have installed Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider..still does not works..
Any idea to resolve this..?

Excel error -2146777998

Hi LabView community,
I wonder is someone has encountered this problem before me. I am maintaining an application which generates 2 excel reports which are similar. The app generates them in a case structure wired to the loop value (i) of a for loop. (1st report in case 0, 2nd report in case 1)
All is good and works well on a development system, and 2 other PCs but on one particular customer PC, the above excel error occurs sometime between finishing the 1st report and starting the 2nd.
Meagre Google links point to problems not closing Excel after the 1st report - which is fine, but in my code there is only 1 reference to the report which is passed through each invoke node until there's a "Dispose Report.vi" at the end.
I also dont understand why, if excel being open causes this error, the error doesnt occur on the other 2 test PCs (all PCs are Windows 7-64/ Office 2010).
If Excel is opened again in parallel thanks to the marvels of auto parallism, this also confuses me because at the end of the 1st report there is a small delay inside a flat sequence so this would seem to restrict auto parallelism by using rules of dataflow , as well as the for loop generating the report mentioned earlier.
If I swap around the order of report generation, the failure still occurs between report 1 & 2.
Any ideas , world?

The Dispose Report does close the reference to the report, however in my research it seems that Excel occasionally stays open behind the scenes, which may be what's causing the error. After you receive the error, open up Task Manager and see if there's an Excel process still running when Excel is not open. If so, stop the process, and attempt running your program again.

Internal Excel Error

Hello:
I'm working with excel 2007 and Essbase 9.3.1 Add-in.
I've an excel 2007 sheet that, when I try to retrieve data (already connected or not), the following message appears:
"Essbase has encountered an internal excel error. Your sheet will not be overwritten and none of your data will be lost. However, you are strongly urged to exit Excel and restart in order to clear up the problem".
But restanting excel don't clear up the problem. If I save the excel sheet as excel 2003, then the problem doesn't apperar.
Does anyone knows what's happening?

Unable to parse information Error while logging in to BPC 4.2 Web Excel

Hi,
I am not able to Log In to BPC 4.2 WebExcel. I am getting a Error Message saying that "unable to parse information".
I am actually logging in after long time and before i use to log in successfully.
I checked with security and every thing is fine in terms of security.
Any solution will be appreciated and rewarded.

Thanks for your inputs, I tried reinstalling it and also all the firewall connection and settings are perfect.But, could not resolve the issue. Some other user ID is able to login on my Outlooksoft desktop.
It looks like there is a problem with my Outlooksoft User ID.

Excel error on Windows 7 - Strange Issue

Hi
We are running BPC MS version with SP9 and with clients accessing via Excel 2007 or 2010 (BPC client is 7.0.118) running on Windows XP and 2007 and have recently been having Excel crashes when opening certain (not all) BPC input schedules and reports. Excel crashes with an error in the module ntdll.dll and exception code 0xc0000374.
After some further investigation, I have narrowed the issue down to machines running Windows 7 only (both with & without sp1) as XP machines don't have any issues. Yesterday I re-installed a fresh version of Windows 7 on my laptop then immediately installed Excel 2010 only (no other apps such as anit-virus, printer drivers, other Office products nor were any other Excel add-ins loaded) and connected to BPC only to have the same issue. I tested on other pc's also on both our BPC development & production server and faced the same problems.
Interestingly it only happens to certain reports (I have full BPC admin rights) and if I open the BPC report without being connected to BPC, it opens fine however as soon as I connect to the server, Excel crashes. I have also tried setting the Excel calculation option to MANUAL which seemed to work for a day or so then the crashes came back despite repeating the same procedure. I have also tried running in Windows safe-mode and disabling all non-MS service using MSCONFIG without success. On one machine also running Windows 7 crashes sometimes when trying to open the e-data option from the Excel menu.
Is anybody experiencing the same issue as this is now critical as we go-live on 1 August for our next rollout? FYI I have also logged an OSS message and searched Windows / Excel online forums tried all the steps suggested for the error, however no solution could be found.
I believe the issue maybe related to BPC client 7.0.118 as I don't remember this happening before we upgraded to sp 9 from sp 3 a few months ago, but I am not able to reinstall the earlier BPC client.

Thanks for this. I had the same problem running a 7.0.118 client on Server 2008 R2 as a Terminal Server.
There were some commented-out EVDREs that still had strange characters in the ColKeyRange and RowKeyRange cells. (The workbook was fine on Server 2003 / Office 2007 and XP / Office 2007, but caused Excel to crash on Server 2008 R2.)
I deleted the entries (via XP) and the problem has now gone away. Problem solved.

BPC not working in Excel 2013

Dear Team,
Currently we are using BPC10 version in SAP.
Version 10.0 SP12Patch 8 .NET4
Excel version is 2010 . whereas we have upgraded our Excel Version to 2013 BPC is not supporting.
BPC10 is not supporting for Microsoft Excel 2013.
Please guide how to solve the issue and make it compactable for Excel 2013.

EVDRE Excel Error 2147417848

Hi,
when we try to change any EVDRE workbook in Excel we receive the following error.
#ERR:-2147417848-Method '' of Object '' failed
We have an BPC 7.5 on Netweaver with a current patch in BW and Frontendversion with patch 4. It seems like a VBA Error......
Any idea?

BPC 7.5 NW - EVDRE error retrieving data

Hello all.
I have a problem with my BPC 7.5 NW system.
I am working with BPC 7.5 NW SP07, and I did all the installation and configuration steps with both .NET and ABAP components.
But when I try to execute an EVDRE, the system shows the next error message:
"EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from Web Server"
I checked ST22 transaction and I saw that /BI0/02xxx tables are not created or activated. I checked these tables in SE11 transaction, and they don´t exist.
I saw several posts and a couple of notes with this problem. They say that these temporary tables are needed to be created or activated, but I couldn´t see anywhere the way to solve the problem in case the tables are not created.
Does anyone have any idea? What is the cause of this problem? Why these are not being created?

1. Login into BPC for Admin
2. Once logged into your Appset , open the Dimension library
3. Process each dimension by selecting the "Process members from membersheet" and by unchecking the "Take system offline" option
4. Process all the dimensions one by one not together.
5. Once processing the dimensions is done then open the Applications and Modify each Application by adding or changing the Application Description.
6. Once done modifying Applications then logout of the BPC Admin and BPC Excel.
7. Login back again into BPC for Excel by going through the connection wizard.
Ideally this should solve your problem and If all the dimensions are processed successfully then logoff and login to see if you stilll see the EVDRE error.

Report Printing - Excel error

Hi all,
I'm not sure what's causing this error.
With a regular report (not Interactive) region, I have enabled the report printing. All file types open/save correctly except for Excel.
When opening the file, Microsoft Excel actually pops up this error:
File cannot be opened because:
The server did not understand the request, or the request was invalid.
Error processing resource 'http://www.w3.org/TR/xhmtl1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd'.
Line 3, Position 57.
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">If I save the file and try to open it, Excel pops up this error:
This XML file cannot be opened because of an error. Check to make sure the file is a valid XML file, and that the XML syntax is correct.
You can also try re-creating the file and closing other applications before you attempt to open it again.Excel version is Excel 2002 SP3 (v10.x).
Some additional info that might be helpful:
When Excel is opening, the status bar shows it is "Opening HTML.XLA", the shows "Opening {filename}.xls" but fails halfway through that.
