BPC 7.0 who is online

Hello,
I tried to use the "Who is online" on the BPC server connected as BPC administrator.
The user person who showed active at that time was me and not the other two users were connected simultaneously to me by clients.
How is this possible? There is something to set?

Hi,
Try to use the Management Console (http://BPCServer/ManagementConsole). You may have to configure it if not already done.
You will have some view in this tools that will allow you to see the activity of the last 10 min (for exemple) and so you could know who worked on BPC in the last 10 min.
As Sorin said it, you can't know a "T" time how many user are connected to the application as BPC is a state less application. You can only monitor user activity over time.

We are on BPC 7.5 Netweaver (not Microsoft) and need visibility of what users are on line in BPC (users logged in Excel client).
Per SDN that functionality is available in BPC 7.5 for Microsoft under the BPC 7.0 MANAGEMENT CONSOLE per http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2024795
I reviewed the audit reports and table UJA_LOGGED_ON but that does not provide users logged in through Excel (seen as BPC ADMIN in BW user list SM04)
Is there any transactions/reports providing the same functionality as the "Who is online" feature in BPC 7.5 for Netweaver e.g. users on line in BPC (users logged in Excel client).?

I need to have visibility of what users are online (Excel) for audit/monitoring purposes.
We are having severe performance issues and want to understand how many users are online concurrently.
In other SAP systems one can audit who is online SM04. In SM04 all BPC users logged in through Excel show up as BPCADMIN. So there is no way to tell how many users are online.
BPC for Microsoft offers a feature to find who is online. There must be a way to do the same in Netweaver?

how can i make it so that on messages i can see who is online without having to search their name? When i had ichat i didnt have to search their name... i culd see who was online autimatically.

Firefox, the web browser, doesn't make any decisions about what mail should be considered spam or what senders should be blocked. What email software or webmail site are you using that is rejecting the messages?
If it's a common site like Yahoo! mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail/Outlook.com, then perhaps a volunteer familiar with their specific settings can help.

If your security/privacy software filters your mail, you will want to check its settings as well.

Who is online

I created my own forum from scratch for use on my website and
I got a feature in the application file that counts the active
number of sessions.
Now, I want to be able to show my members who are online, a
list of other members who are online. I want this done in real time
and not have to update the DB with last activity then check for
last activity...etc...can anyone help or point to an approiate
tutorial

I'm sure there are tutorials out there (check easyCFM.com),
but you could probably accomplish something simple using an array
in the application scope and the onSessionStart() and
onSessionEnd() methods in the application.cfc.

Cant ring someone who is online?

I can't ring someone who is online, I don't have this problem with everyone on my contacts but more than one, they have an online status of online and I go to ring them, I get the connection sound that you always hear calling anyone but then I get no ring, I am connected to the internet with good connection, the call rings out and says no answer. This same person cannot see Im's either, I called the next day and it worked fine, they said they had only just received the messages and hadn't even been online when I was calling him the day before. The call continues for a while without problems then we both leave (on purpose). After a while I come back on skype to see if they are on, it says they are online so I give him a call, the same problem happens again and I call about 5 times with no result. About 30 minutes later this person goes offline, I ring him and immediately get through? He says he had just come on (he had signed out on invisible and JUST got back on). His computer wasn't even on when I had been calling him yet again, the problem is ongoing.
If you have had a similar problem and been able to fix it, or just experienced it aswell please leave a comment and give it like or whatever you do on here to upvote something (I'm new to it). Thanks

You cannot count anymore on connection status shown by your contacts. Contacts might be shown Online all the time even when they are not connected on Skype on any of their devices. This is the result of the recent changes Skype has made to status indication on Skype Network (The Cloud).

The only what you can do about this crazy situation is to wait and hope that Skype corrects this BUG.

I installed ff 9 when i want to chat on yahoo i can not see who is online

i installed ff 9 and when i want to chat on yahoo i can not see who is on the online contacts..it stays blanc !
i tried some other versions of ff..but also the same problem
now i use IE9.. and no problem...BUT..IE9 works very slow not like ff...i rather use ff !!

Since Gamers and those who watch online videos are having trouble with Adobe Flash Player 10, why am I, who does neither, having the beast crash all the time?

Adobe Flash Player seems to wait until I am near the end of the Yahoo comics section before it crashes, but not always, sometimes it just seems to have a mind of its own and crashes indiscriminately.

As I am the person having this problem, I am at a loss as to what to say in Reply. I thought I was making progress just by noting that video watchers and gamers were having this problem. Then I thought that it might be worthy of note that it seemed to happen more often when I was reading the yahoo comics section, I happen to like the comics. So, I suppose that my question should be, Am I being discriminated against because I do not watch online videos, play games and happen to enjoy the comics?

I can't see someone who IS online

I am trying to use iChat to chat with a friend. We both added eachother to our buddy lists (with the correct screen names) and even though we are both online, we appear offline in eachother's lists.
We have both checked the security settings and no one is blocked.

The Mac firewall is in System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall tab.
This has a Preset for iChat Bonjour which should list two ports (erronously on TCP)
If the Firewall is On, you will need to set up the AIM/iChat ports. Like here http://www.ralphjohnsuk.dsl.pipex.com/page4.html
As to the modem, can you tell me if this is the Wireless device or do you have two devices (a modem and a router) ?
Can you tell me what make and model the modem is ?

How do people who upgrade online find out about the status of their order?

I have been waiting over a week for my order and have tried phoning but they tell me because it was an online order I have to use the webchat which doesnt work. Can somebody tell me where I can find out what is happening with my order.

Since I upgraded, I am having problems with words coming out wrong. For example, it is supposed to say "Who's Online in the last 15 minutes;" it actually says "Xip(t pomjof jo uif mbtu 26 Njovuft;" but when I copy and paste, it comes out correct.

This is happening at a web site group I belong to, and it is only happening on a couple of certain pages that I can tell so far, not the whole web site. It doesn't happen if I go to that site using IE, so it has to be something in Firefox. I have tried looking at the font information, but that seems correct. I don't know how to fix this, but I can't read some of the words on this site anymore.

My chat and private messaging is not working, i can still see everyone who is online but nothing happens when i click on them, I have shut down everything and started over, and still nothing, what do I do?

Who is logged in currently in Outlooksoft (BPC) v 4.2

Are there any log files in Outlooksoft 4.2 that show who is currently logged or to see the last time each user logged in? In the private publications folder, debuglogic.log shows you the last time a user submitted data, but it doesn't tell you the last time each user logged in to the system, which is what I'm looking for.

There is no out of the box functionality in 4.2 AND 5.1 to see who is online.
In V5 there is an option in admin called 'Who is Online', but this option will only show you who have logged on to Admin and NOT to MS Office. so you can't see the endusers who have logged in (still hoping for some improvement here).
There is however one some kind of workaround to see who have logged in over time:
The IIS log will log all users that have logged in. I imported this file into a SQL table and using some Query statements I could find out who logged in and even to see what connection type they were using (in 4.2 we had something called 'http' users, we used this method to search for these kind of users).

SAP BPC Management Console

Dear All, I have an installation of SAP BPC 7.0 SP7 Patch 1. On my Dev and Test servers, the Management Console works perfectly (they are both single server installations), but on the multi-server Production environment the web server part is not visible. The SQL, Analysis Services part work well, but I cannot get to see who's online and which aspx 's are active. The only thing that I can see for the web server part is the task manager part. I suspect a security setting or a specific service that is not started, but cannot find anything yet. The Event log on the web/application server only indicates that the WMI service was stopped, but nothing else. Has anybody else experience this kind of behaviour for the Management Console? Or does anybody know exactly which rights and permissions are needed and which services?

If the ODBC logging is working correctly thatu2019s all that should be needed.
The MC reads the log tables to tell whou2019s online. By default it logs to BPCLog in AppServer.
If you open up BPCLog, it looks just like an IIS log.
You can check to see if there are records in the table.
There is a stored procedure in the appserver DB you can run, sp_WhosOnline, which should return data. If thatu2019s not returning data thereu2019s probably an issue with the logs.
Other steps to verify:
1. Make sure there is Login setup in security whose default DB is AppServer. Make sure under User Mapping that it's mapped to AppServer and has the roles of db_owner and public. Verify SQL is set up for Windows and SQL Server Authentication. Restart SQL services.
2. Verify IIS under the Web Site tab, logging is set to ODBC logging. Click the Properties button and make sure the DSN is set to BPC_ManagementDSN, the table is BPCLog, and the username and password are those of the SQL login user you set up before.
3. Make sure IIS Directory Security>Authentication and access control is set to Basic Authentication
4. Set the Application Pool of the virtual directory 'Management Console' is set to BPC_ManagementAP
5. In ODBC Data Source Administrator, click the Configure button with the BPC_ManagementDSN selected. Go through the wizard, verify it is using "SQL Server authentication with login ID and password" and input the username and password for your SQL login user.
