BPC 7NW Installation Masters in BPC

Hi,
Im trying to install BPC 7NW.
I´m using this document
u201CInstallation Guide SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 7.0u201D
But in page 11 ask me for a downloading in this path:
https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/swdc/
SAP Installation & upgrades > Entry by application group > SAP aplication components> ......(And here download BPC)
My problem is that, just apear "SAP TUTOR" into Application components : * (.
Somebody coud help me? or share me other instructions to get BPC 7NW functionality?
(Currently Ive installed ERP + BW 7.0) but I need to prove this with BPC connected.

I tried to install BPC for netweaver 7.0 "SAP Installation & upgrades > Entry by application group > SAP aplication components> .....(And here download BPC)"
Unfortunately I could not found BPC or EPM under the listed applications or under SAP Netweaver.
Is there a license required for this application?
Please inform how you all get a chance to download the application.

BPC 7.0 BPC Administration Installation - Authorisation Issue

I have installed BPC 7.0 on our Windows 2003 server, I have installed the BPC Administration and BPC Client on a Windows XP machine all are working well.
My problem is when I try the same on Windows Vista Business, I have Domain Administrator rights and Local User Admin rights in Vista, however when I press the BPC Administration Installation button and try to install BPC Admin I get the following message 'You do not have authority to install the BPC for Office'.
I have followed the exact same procedure as I used for Windows XP and now feel I am banging my head against a wall. Does anyone have any ideas on this issue?

I have found the problem Vista Business does not have .net 1.1 (see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en ) and Service PAck 1 (see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=a8f5654f-088e-40b2-bbdb-a83353618b38&displayLang=en)
Once installed the installer works fine.

BPC NW Installation - MSMQ Setup

Hi Experts
We are in process of BPC NW installation. One of the prerequisites for BPC installation in MSMQ installation.
The installation guide says, MSMQ needs to be installated with domain controller rights and option of "Active Directory Integration" should be checked during the installation process.
Pls confirm, if this is mandatory or there can be any work around. As my organization does not allows any MSMQ integration with Acitive directory.

Hi Experts,
I am in process of BPC NW installation.
In the MSMQ configuration (Windows 2008 server), I have to create a nontransactionnal message queue (as described in SAP Install Guide).
But when installing my new private queue, I only can check a "transactional" option.
Is the message queue have to be created in transactional or nontransactional mode?
Is the default mode, a nontransactional mode?

BPC 7NW SP02 Single sign-on

Calling BPC Experts...
Does anyone know how to setup BPC 7NW SP02 for single sign-on? The 'Use my Microsoft Windows user ID and password' option is greyed out.
Any ideas?

Uncheck the "SOX" compliance option (on BPC .Net server / Server Manager / Client options).
You may have to fully connect one time with the connection wizard. Option will be usable at next logon.

BPC 7NW SP03 - Data Saving Issue

BPC 7NW SP03
Save gives a success message but data is not stored in the cube.
Any clue..any notes?

This issue can happen when you actually have problem with one dimension.
Like a bad dimension formula or an hierachy ...
If you receive the confirmation message the data is into database but when you actually retrieve data because of some problems - something wrong into dimension then you have this kind of issue.
Any way if you are looking just for memebers where you will send data (just base memebers) then you will see the data iis into database.
Once which you are running something where you are actually looking to more values then even the members where you send data can be wrong.

Hi,
Using the migration tool might require 2-3 weeks or more than that, depending on the number of customized objects. BPFs need to be re designed. SSIS packages need to be replicated using process chains.
Manual would mean re-implementation and will take a much longer time.

Differences between security tasks in BPC 7.0 MS and BPC 10.0 NW

Hi all,
I am on a migration Project from BPC 7.0 MS to BPC 10.0 NW and I have to migrate task profiles.
The problem is that while uploading the task profiles from a .csv, I realized that there are differences between the tasks to assign in source and destination system. Sometimes the task that exist in MS doesn't exist in NW or there are new tasks in NW that doesn't exist in MS version.
I am attaching an Excel sheet with the comparison between both systems.
The question is simple, how can I move these task profiles on a semiautomatic way? Do you know about any documentation about the differences between security task in MS and NW?

Queries About Migration From MS BPC 7.0 to NW BPC 10.0

Hi,
This is about undertaking a migration exercise from BPC 7.0 MS Version to BPC 10.0 NW Version.
I would like to know about the changes that might affect the entire applications setup when the migration takes place - as in what would be the scope of changes in the functions, scripts, business rules, input forms and reports? Also please give an overview about the risks associated with the same - both from the design and technical perspectives would be helpful.

Issue whith action pane when using BPC for excel in Spanish - BPC 7.5 NW

Hi experts,
We just migrated from BPC NW 7.0 to BPC NW 7.5 and we are having a situation with our BPC for excel client now that if we open it with an english instalation everything is ok but if one client with a spanish instalation opens BPC for Excel, the action pane is empty. On 7.0 version everythng worked ok on spanish. Any idea of how to solve it?

Please note that the best practice is to use one language. However, if a number of languages must be used the following solutions may be applied:
If you want end-users to see the very same descriptions in various languages, you may copy the descriptions from one language over to another in BPC Admin Client.
If you want them to see native descriptions in the language the end-user is logged on under, you may log on to BPC Admin Client in the language(spanish) the descriptions are missing for and enter them. Do not forget to process the dimension. Refresh dimension members on client side and process all the dimensions. Now, English descriptions are seen under English and Spanish under Spanish anit is the way it works because SAP has description against EN language only and not spanish

do you have experience with BPC 10 NW installation?
How long it takes to install it? Can you provide me some raw time estimation for installation and post-installation steps?
My second question is about web client I saw architecture of BPC 10.0 and I am not sure where is this installed on BW server with add-ons?

Hi,
This depends entirely on whether or not you are setting up SSL etc. Most installations I have seen so far are very quick as this is now just SOFTWARE COMPONENTS being applied to the ABAP Stack. If you are already a BASIS consultant and are familiar with the ins and outs of setting up SSL working with the WebAS etc, this should be very easy and fast.

Hi R Mav,
Did you install SAP Gui 7.1 or 7.2 on your server?
KBA 1378741 might have the answer for your issue.
Solution 1: Put librfc32.dll in System 32 folder on server machine and register it.
or
Solution 2: Install GUI on server machine.

BPC NW installation questions

Dear expert,
I get that BPC NW is composed by a BW server on 64bit hardware and .Net, IIS, BPC app server on 32bit hardware.
I am just have 2 questions about the BPC installation and configuration.
1 -> does the BI content component need to be installed in the BW ABAP server?
2 -> How can i change the server connection on 32 bit hardware to another BW server on 64 bit hardware?

Hi Lin,
1. Yes, abap server compoment needs to install on BI system using SAINT, then you can perform the customization as per the installation document. BI system should be BI 7.0 EPH1
2. normally BPC will also support 64bit windows application but preferred 32bit OS application and it can talk to backend system with 64bit application.

Note : My SAP system is AWS free server of AS ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. BW on SAP HANA SP7,it will get BPC 10.1 unified version by default or not.if it will get how i will access.
We have done chapter 2 and 3 every thing in installation guide, but EPM add-on didn't installed.
IN SICF that services i didn't find out.is there any other post steps for getting this services.so please help me.

"Unknown/Unidentifed keyword" error when running procedure in BPC 7NW

Hi,
Im trying to run a Currency conversion procedure from Default logic. When I try validating I get an error
"Unknown/Unidentified keyword *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=SPRUNCONVERSION ...."
What could be the problem?

Hi Prasanth,
There are no stored procedures in BPC version for NW. Instead, you need to use the "*RUN_PROGRAM ..." syntax.

BPC 7NW login

In BPC whenever we are switching the applicaiton, system is prompting for login creential. We want to avoid this.
What is the best option to avoid this multiple login.?

You have to check first if you have integrated windows authentication enable for osoft virtual directory.
If not then you have to enable that.
Into your IE add the BPC site into trusted sites and try again.
Also add the BPC .NEt server into exception for proxy if you use proxy for your IE connection.
